I just stumbled across this because I have the same sander and it wasn’t working so I was looking for disassembly info. Anyway, thought I’d pass along that the motor brushes seem to be obsolete in 2023 so if yours stops working you may not be able to replace them. Good news is you can take them out and sand/file them back into the correct shape really easily! Mine is working again.

Love the video and can’t wait til my next watch party! I noticed that you did not sand with the grain, why is that?

Thank you! I didn't sand with the grain in an effort to remove the most material the quickest. For final sanding I would sand with the gran.

I wouldn't buy one of these in any condition for any price. Mine refuses to track straight and wastes belts like no tomorrow and right now I have mine apart to get bit of a belt that got balled up and jammed in the drive roller. Get a better one and go through less money by not ruining so many belts.

I haven't had the same experience but thanks for sharing your perspective.

Wear a dust mask when sanding. You'll thank me when you're 70!
