Hello David, garbage truck drivers, I'm with a different company, do that when we have Kevin and Karen customers that absolutely, for whatever reason, refuse to space the bins out so we can accurately grab them, dump them and leave, I do the exact same thing when I'm trying to "train" a new customer, because with the workload we have, we don't have time to deal with your bullshit.
As a garbage man who operates in the Maine, Vermont, New York, New Hampshire area... It possibly looked like it could have been blocking you in. That and garbage drivers have a 12hr day if everything goes correctly... Its a tough job. Maybe it was just a bad day for him, no excuses but id cut him some slack if you could. Talk to him and find out what was going on before putting the sword to him. He might be new, he dropped every toter i saw him pick up... Although they landed upright so, idk...
Cans are supposed to be 2-3 feet apart. Sometimes these drivers have upwards of 1,000 customers to service per day. That'll likely include 2 trips to the landfill or recycling center.
My friend, technically the can is still within “it’s place.” At least it was collected, at least it was placed on its wheels and not thrown to the ground, at least the can wasn’t damaged, at least there wasn’t trash or juices on the roadway. Theres a lot to be thankful for my friend.

If he does this at the end of the day he will save from 30 to 40 minutes of time and he us getting the job dune just the same. He is just trying to pick up his kids from school.

You don’t realize is he has to give some throttle for the arm to climb up when dumping garbage as it might be heavy.. you can see he gives it throttle and starts to roll forward up until the can is dumped… before you trash on the trash man why don’t you go do the job yourself?
