Cool review man! Personally, I quite like this game. Something that to me made it actually stand out a bit, was that it offered some neat replay value (for its time). You see, technically there are not 44, but 87 stages. Note when you collect the Konami-man the colours change. Not only do you go to the next level, you also get warped to an alternate (harder) string of levels. This made it kind of unique in my opinion. Also, to actually beat the game, you'll need a passcode at the end of the journey. Letters are found in the borders of certain stages. Enter the wrong code at 4-11 and it sends you back to 1-1 to go at it again! That little fact made me less happy I must admit lol. Also, in a bit of a dick move, you'll have to go through the game at least twice to find all the letters, since both 'dimensions' contain a couple.
Crackout is hilarious as a title, especially for an 80s title. I don't think I ever played it. 02:05-02:18 Glitch in the Matrix? Good video as usual :) Communists....meh.
Ya know Brenda, that's the difference between your channel and mine. You feel like the discussion of Communist Russia does not have its place on a retro gaming channel. However, I am prepared to go into great detail if it serves the review well. Which it never does. Which is probably why your reviews are better. I'll be honest, if anyone else was covering this game in a review, I wouldn't watch it. I don't really care for anything NES-related and this looks like a bad version of Breakout. Anything NES already gets plenty of love on the Intergoogles. The version I had on my Blackberry seems to be more fun than this. But it was a good review, nevertheless and I look forward to the next one.
I always wondered what a Blackberry user looked like, and now I know ;) Haha but anyway, thanks for the nice words. And discuss whatever the hell you want, that's why I like your videos. The deep thoughts of Carter knows no bounds.
Retro Game On Carter SHOULD know some boundaries but sometimes I'm a little TOO on the spectrum to stick with the topic. "...AND THAT IS WHY I DO NOT SUPPORT NEITHER RELIGION OR ATHEISM. Wait. What were we talking about? Oh right. Wipeout has really nice graphics..."
Retro Game On Also, for the record, I no longer have that blackberry. If you want to know what an iPhone user looks like, now you know. We're the worst kinds of people. According to Android users.
