  • The Sony TV Game Machine is a mysterious game console prototype from (likely) the 1970s. Not much is known about it apart from the fact that it was shown at an exhibit dedicated to the founders of Honda and Sony in the early 2000s.

    I can almost garuntee that the red part lifted up like a trap-door with a hinge a the rear. That'd give it enough space for period-correct carts

      Possibly. Although in my head, I was thinking it was using something like a Sega Card. Sony used similar technology in some products during that period.

      @@retrogameonMaybe the cards just had physical `pins` or notches on a basic pcb with no components that connected different pathways in the consoles pcb like the very early pong type cart machines released in America (channel f?), to enable different variations of pong already in the machines logic.

      @@meetoo594 I don't think this was a Pong clone or similar. The buttons seem to indicate there was a multiple choice of something, so there would need to be some sort of memory.

    You don't need an apostrophe when writing "from the 1970s". The "s" is not a possessive, it indicates plurality of years. 😂
