Although it's not in this clip, Ncuti does confirm during his appearance on Graham's show that he's already filmed his second series, Season 2/Series 15/Series 41 which comes out next year, as well as the Christmas Special 'Joy to the World' which comes out on Christmas Day and guest starring Nichola Coughlan as the aforementioned Joy. I think he also says that he's hoping to film his third series, Season 3/Series 16/Series 42 (depending on where you're counting the series numbers from) next year. I think the BBC's already greenlit the third series from Russell T Davies' new era, RTD2, as I think Russell's already working on the scripts. I think they're just waiting for the green light from Disney+ in terms of funding, as I think there's been reports suggesting that they're waiting until Season 2 has started to be transmitted before confirming whether they'll still be putting funding into the show beyond Season 2 next year. I'm not sure whether Millie Gibson and Varda Sethu will be staying on in their roles as companions Ruby Sunday and Belinda Chandra, who we'll get to meet in Season 2 next year as I don't think the BBC have confirmed as yet as to what will be happening with their characters beyond Season 2. Millie Gibson's definitely staying on though, despite reports suggesting that she'd been fired, as Russell's already confirmed that there's still lots to explore with Ruby Sunday and her family.
I don't think they'll probably start filming Season 3 until the early spring of next year, March/April time, maybe later, June/July if the reports are true that they are waiting for the green light from Disney+ in terms of funding. Gonna be honest I couldn't even finish one episode of "Season 1". I only watched the trailers and that was enough for me. Doctor Who is dead to me and I'm not the only one who has this opinion
