In God of War Ragnarok, the presence of inclusivity was actually a problem, since you had a black girl shoved in there as a giant in Norse mythology. The gay man in Witcher 3 was done properly though. He’s not some front and center, preachy, Marry Sue. He’s just an NPC in the game world. You even have to play oblivious to his pain and keep insisting on the subject, if you want to find out. Most players, being sensitive or rather perceptive and empathetic, as well as trying to progress, will not even know about the man’s sexuality, which is ironically more accurate to the real world (I can attest to that). Though to be fair, it ties into a broader tragic story, in the history of the land. My point is that when diversity is done for the sake of diversity, it’s always a problem.

Best game i played last year was Resident Evil 4 and thats a remake, everything else at least from AAA wise was trash to mediocre. We're people not awake in 2015? when we got Arkham Knight, The Witcher 3, Mad Max, Metal Gear Solid 5, Dying Light, Rocket League and Bloodborne all in one year. That was the best and last good year we had in gaming.
2015 was a killer year for good games. Funny because i still play all of them you listed and ignore many recent games. Dying light, Mad Max and Batman came out in the same year. Plus MGS5. That list really did show us the end of talent and games made for us men
Leave woke politics and censorship of female video game characters out of video games. People either want to play games for enjoyment and/or play them to distract themselves, so having good stories where characters grow physically and mentally, good game mechanics that are simple and fun to use, and attractive and gorgeous environments and female/male characters is what true gamers look for not forced and pushed politics that are trying to indoctrinate them.
Exactly! Developers fail to see what people really want, instead of allowing activists infiltrate their studios, surrender to out of touch share holders, and get in bed with ESG, they should simply listen to what people want out of games.
I love seeing so many of us speaking out against this Sweet Baby Inc shit. Its like a form of unity of gamers. But I think it would be a true Public Service Announcement (of sorts) to remind people that they vote with they f*ckin wallet and as much as they wanna play the new Spider Man game regardless of the politics, them buying it is giving these @$$holes like Sweet Baby Inc to keep doin what they doin. VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET FOLKS
The celebration for victory against Sweet Baby Inc. was at last inevitable. Now, to lend them the SPICIEST lollipop to feed them with as they are confined in a white room. NOTE: The "Baby on Board" story title itself really disturbed me so much... I think I need to do a silent prayer without getting arrested.
That creeped me out to, all the baby references attached to the weirdos at the company does them no favors. Pretty sure there's a lot of p-e-d-o-s at Sweet Bany Inc, judging by their behavior before and after all this, a lot of evil insecure clowns that want to project onto others.
Sweet Baby Inc, @legobutts, etc.. Man, their names are straight out of a pedo ring. Cringe, creepy & predatory. I bet Sweet Baby Inc has ties with Jeffrey Epstein.
Your point about good writers adding in diverse characters is especially on point when you consider how they actually had a “diverse” Captain Marvel BEFORE Carol Danvers was “promoted” into the role. You probably know her as “Spectrum” aka Monica Rambeau, in the MCU. What’s even more poignant about her as Captain Marvel was that she was AT ONE POINT THE LEADER OF The Avengers! So in a way, they not only hate history and refuse to engage or understand it…but they wish to rewrite it.
If (they/them/he/she/it) their mission/vision was truly intended to spread "the message" then they should be loud and proud about their work - they should want their "message" spread more right? This whole silencing game they're playing at only tells me that they fear losing their clients more than they truly care about spreading "the message"
Thank you for sharing this. i am all for open dialogue, constructive conversation & debate on any issues without being attacked for having a different opinion. but if anyone who cant take any suggestion/critique that are based on facts/statics, then they have a double standard issue. I might want to add that hiring outside consultants is not a bad thing, but as a content creator/IP creator, their work should not be solely or overwhelmingly dictated by any political/social influences. Being inclusive is great, but the main creative direction must not be over shadowed. Can you imagine if Game of Thrones (referring to the book version) must go through the same treatment.
Sweet Baby Inc is disgusting, and the way they (and others) are injecting woke politics into gaming is awful but.. Miles is the token black guy? Come on
He is, Miles would have been better off as his own character, and it doesn't help that Peter gets pushed aside in a unceremonious way in order to prop up Miles to condition people to accept him.
It's sad that we have to literally draw a line in the sand between doing something we enjoy or supporting a garbage company trying to shove their Beyond messed up identity politics down our throats.
Unfortunately that's the point we're at, not because we wanted things to get as egregious with the pandering and far left ideological nonsense, but because of the studios enforcing this crap in media, this is why they receive backlash.
As a left leaning person, this is bad, namely Sweet Baby Inc's stance on stuff, being racist against whites, horrible writing, ect, same for changing too much about the original games that people grew to love. As a black man yeah I can say a lot of games are going to have a lot of grizzled white people in it for characters for multiple reasons, do I care? No, just as long as the game is good I'm happy to play it (namely because a lot of companies do black people pretty bad, or give us that lame as comb over dreads hair cut). Sure some people would like to put themselves in the shoes of the protagonist, but you can do that no matter the race if you make a compelling and beloved character. But what they SHOULD do if they don't like how the 'diversity' market is- is just make their own IP and games, that way they can be criticised on their own merits. That way people don't feel like its being injected into their games that they grew up with and if someone wants to buy what they're pushing, they'll buy it for that sake. Build your own world up, hire good writers, make a compelling story, and flavor it with what ever social politics you want. If people like it? Then you've done what many other developers have done for decades. Our world should change to adapt to the time period, but forcing said change will build resentment if it hurts or tanishes the image of something they care about. Do your own damn thing and people will support you if they like it.

I will love to death that Barret, OG or Remake continuity is not defined by being black, but moreso by being an environmentalist. Admittedly annoying at first, until you gradually realise his oast and that HE IS RIGHT in setting. Finishing OG FF7 gave me such respect for him because he is like the hyper-aware character in terms of Shinra and in terms of the consistent themes of the story
I agree I felt the same way and because in his honesty barret was pure of heart and intention, he was truly a heroic character and defined by his selflessness at that. People often overlook how well he was written.
As much as i want these guys to go down... is there a point to any of this? If sweet baby goes down these companies will only go to another writing consultation with the same woke agenda. Regardless of how many flops they keep releasing it's like they never learn, so why even bother at this point. Ima just stick with the old games.
The same thing will also happen with other firms just like Sweetbabyinc. They will all keep going down until none are left. None will survive especially if the majority of gamers are boycotting their products. These firms will all eventually self-destruct.
Sticking with old games is good, but calling out companies like Sweet Baby Inc is necessary in order to bring back some normalcy in gaming. If another company similar to Sweet Baby Inc comes along, then gamers need to push back like they are now, people can't give up because that's what these agenda riddled companies want.

Okay, I agreed with pretty much everything you said until 20:00 where you said Starfield failed, and specifically called out its dropping player numbers. Single-player games don't maintain their player numbers many months after launch. Even Baldur's Gate 3 and many other successful single-player games are nowhere to be found in the top charts anymore. This is a pretty flawed argument. You're basically saying, 'if a game isn't multiplayer, it's a failure'. Any single-player game that gets 13+ million players with an average of 40 hours of playtime is a success. There is no definition of failure where a game with these numbers actually makes sense because then almost every game that came out in 2023 would be a failure. People read way too much into the negative reception of this game when it is littered with Sony Fanboys trying to smear the game, people wanting to get back at Bethesda for Fallout 76, people being upset at Microsoft because they can't play Starfield on their PS5's anymore, etc. It's really difficult to take any of this stuff very seriously when you know the context surrounding the game is very messy, which has nothing to do with the actual game. And if someone does give a negative review because the game didn't have DLSS at launch (the most common legitimate negative review), they are not saying the game is shit, they are just expressing their disappointment about why the game does not have an expected feature due to their contracts with AMD. The issue has been fixed, but it's not likely the reviews were updated to reflect that. This was by far the top complaint about the game and it's been addressed. The fact that Starfield's player counts and average time were so high despite all of the propaganda actually speaks volumes about how people actually felt about the game - people liked it. That's a fact. When you go to RPG-specific or PC channels, you see in comments that people actually really enjoyed the game, because these communities are devoid of console fanboys and agenda-driven commenters. Just look at the bombardment of negative press Starfield gets even months after release. This is all agenda driven. And when the fake rumours of Starfield going to PS5 came out, there was so much hate again against Microsoft and Bethesda. And the leaks were fake! No accountability whatsoever. It's just really hard to take criticism of Starfield seriously when you understand the context surrounding the game. As a content creator, you should be aware of all of this. But not acknowledging any of it, you're just contributing to the dishonesty and misinformation. If you had not listened to any media at all about Starfield to cloud your judgement, if you didn't have to appease a mob where you need to say what they want to hear, and if you were a fan of western RPGs, you would have enjoyed your time with Starfield. If you want an actual assessment of Starfield, I recommend Fudge muppet's reviews on the game.
Problem with your "counter argument" is that Starfield DID flop. It doesn't matter if it's multiplayer, or single player, it was a complete disaster for Bethesda. Case in point, the ratings dropping so fast, less players playing it, and the game being as uninteresting as it was badly made.
@@JosephCoenMason Why would you take ratings that say, "I'm just doing my part. 1 out of 10" or "Spiderman-2 shits on Starfield" seriously? If someone complains that they can't land on gas giants, why would you take that seriously? If someone complains about fast-travelling to planets when The Outer Worlds, Mass Effect and many other games had exactly the same thing and were not criticized for it, why would you take this seriously? If someone complains that they can't land on a planet from space, even though it would take hours and hours of time to do this given the physics of the game, why would you take this criticism seriously? Again, single-player games all have drop-off. Do you really expect people to keep playing after binging the game for 100 hours and not moving onto other games? If you think this, you don't understand the market very well. As for the game being uninteresting, that's just a subjective opinion. There are millions of people who disagree, as we can see from the fudge muppet review comments for example. On various PC channels, Starfield has very positive sentiment as well. And if you're going to say that Starfield didn't make Xbox catch up to Sony's console userbase and that is the root of its failure, you can thank Don Mattrick for that. That has nothing to do with Starfield and its performance is similar to Fallout 4, which was also a success. There is no game Xbox could have released to undo the damage Don Mattrick did to the Xbox console brand. There is a reason Microsoft is forced to go all in on Game Pass, Cloud and Mobile at this point, and lean harder into 3rd party publishing. They lost the 8th generation. The damage is done. Starfield has nothing to do with any of this. It performed as expected given the success of Fallout 4. You're not being rational here. You WANT to hate the game. You enjoyed hating on it. It was popular to do so. UA-camrs got you really invested in it. But you don't really know anything about the game or the context surrounding it at all. I can tell.
Well I've been thinking long and hard about this because I didn't know any of this when I first bought Spider-Man 2 and now that I know this as soon as I get my game back from the pawn shop I'm going to sell it never played it don't want to I'm going to finish Miles Morales and then I'm done with Spider-Man

@@RevenantRemnant They're defiantly out of touch with gamers because instead of gaming companies turning to gamers they turn to woke feminist organizations instead. The video games are broken When they're so focused on trying to please a woke minority. Instead of releasing a game that's at least playable on launch we have problem.
The only thing I’m upset about the coverage of the whole sweet baby incident thing is the lack of connection that is being made from them and Disney marvel and Star Wars. I really think they all need to be brought up in the same talking points Cause I think they still think Disney thinks they are getting away with it.
There's definitely similarities to them, both pumping out flops created by activists weirdos, and when they fail, those involved blame people who saw their agendas from a mile away.
They're all pushing the same agendas, there are channels that bring them all up cohesively, in the end the woke corporate agenda spans entertainment and government. It's not conspiracy it's observable fact.
Damn! This Sweet Baby (st)Inc. situation is the gift that keeps on giving! I just keep finding videos after videos after videos about these losers taking Ls and they really not old videos either, they’re always a few hours fresh. Hopefully the industry will notice all the backlash and cut this woke crap. Though I have no hope for Disney, who’s admitted publicly that they’re trying to push this on kids and they don’t plan to stop. Sony has also moved to Commie-fornia so I don’t think they’ll stop the foolishness either.
I'm glad that page exists. I want to be informed to make a decision. In that case, avoid them. I always do my research on games I'm interested in. If its a live service/always online, got invasive DRM such as denuvo, or has a bunch of crappy monetization practices, I don't buy. It's the same with SBI. I view any game like that to be bloatware. I more than likely wouldn't even pirate them.
Best thing is to do research, unfortunately nothing is safe from woke garbage. I remember when people could look forward to a game and buy with confidence, now we have so many things to question and worry about because studios constantly betray any trust they had with consumers.
@@RevenantRemnant Yep. And to make matters worse since we're in an era where games can be patched and even worse devs that's willing to censor and go back on their older catalogs.
Just stop buying this shit .Play games from 10 years ago.Don't buy a new game, don't need the new console. We stop buying this crap it will stop. But you cain't.
The people buying these games are NPCs and reviewers who will not give them fluff reviews. The consoomers are in a whole different world man... They don't know what a video game is anymore. They don't even like gameplay loops and prefer cutscene.
Good thing I've been playing and replaying PS2 and 360 games, the current games mentioned in the video I haven't played nor do I have any intention on playing them. More people need to stop relying on current games that are compromised and consider going to some old games to play something made by developers with no agendas.
Hey Revenant, I will never understand how any reputable game company would go out of their way to consult & pay some woke firm on how to write their games, they're basically paying this firm to destroy their games. Its like going to a car wash, and instead of paying to get your vehicle cleaned, you pay 1 of the workers to take a giant hot steamy dump inside of your cars interior. But here's my question..........from my understanding, these game developers supposedly consult SweetBabyInc (and many other similar firms) so that they can supposedly gain ESG points from BlackRock and other entities. But what effect will these "ESG points" have on their companies? Does a higher ESG score mean your game gets promoted more? Does it mean your company has higher funding? Or does it mean something else? Because honestly, even if a higher ESG score does mean all of those things I listed, I definitely DON'T see the tradeoff being worth it at all. Yes having a higher ESG score might mean a few perks here & there for the devs, but those perks will be short-lived, and the damage that will come from having a higher ESG score will surpass any kind of "good" that these devs can get. Basically the cons will outweigh the pros. These companies games will get boycotted (and eventually shut down after their games continually flop) so their precious ESG scores WON'T matter anymore.
The car wash example you gave is spot on, idk why companies with functioning brains would even consider signing off with Sweet Baby Inc or firms similar to them. The higher the ESG scores, the more investment money from Blackrock and other companies go to studios, which is why we keep seeing games conveniently have a diverse cast with the usual designs and character traits.
@@RevenantRemnant Yeah that makes sense. But even if these game companies do get more investment money from Blackrock, it wont benefit them in the long-run if nobody buys their games so all that investment money is meaningless. Eventually these game developers would just implode. The only way these devs can benefit from this is if they take the money & run while also abandoning the studio (but I think thats considered a form of money-laundering). So only the thieves and the sleazebags would benefit from the whole situation, not the passionate gamer. I just dont see any upside to this at all.
@@thechosenone2123I know you're not going to believe me but honestly my theory is that they don't care if the company goes broke because this is the end of days these people aren't human beings these people are demons who are led by the devil this isn't a human thing this is literally demons using video games to destroy mankind.

For one I didn't know there was so much Mary Jane in Spider-Man 2 and I'm not exactly a huge fan of the first Spider-Man because of some seriously glaring issues that I feel like nobody really addresses one of which being all the stupid missions where you have to play as characters the game forces you to play as that have next to no combat abilities. And now that I know what I know now about Spider-Man 2 I don't want to play as Mary Jane I don't want a woke agenda I don't want a company pandering to me about crap I don't care about and you know what I'm not even going to sell the game because that would just be like getting dope but not wanting to do the dope so you give it to someone else I'm just going to throw it in the trash can or smash it.

As a Montreal resident i have to say that none of us is responsible for Sweet Baby.
Most remakes are new IP's, they just aren't as good as the originals they were copied from.
"It's scared. IT'S SCARED!"
The reason the CEOs don't care is because they don't have a soul anymore. Because ultimately the goal of evil never changes.
Which is why everything seems soulless and divisive.

720p ?

Just play subnautica, the most diverse (fish all over) inclusive (you are included in the stalkers menu) and equity (the reaper likes the seamoth has much has you), gamers, just ignore them
Okay, I agreed with pretty much everything you said until 20:00 where you said Starfield failed, and specifically called out its dropping player numbers.

Exactly! The fact this is too hard for studios to comprehend or find controversial shows how out of touch they are with their audience.
@@RevenantRemnant They're defiantly out of touch with gamers because instead of gaming companies turning to gamers they turn to woke feminist organizations instead. Cause I think they still think Disney thinks they are getting away with it.

Good thing I've been playing and replaying PS2 and 360 games, the current games mentioned in the video I haven't played nor do I have any intention on playing them.
More people need to stop relying on current games that are compromised and consider going to some old games to play something made by developers with no agendas.
Play tomb raider remaster with the -nolegal flag.
Corpos just want to fund their own pockets. They don't care about anyone but themselves.
@@thechosenone2123I know you're not going to believe me but honestly my theory is that they don't care if the company goes broke because this is the end of days these people aren't human beings these people are demons who are led by the devil this isn't a human thing this is literally demons using video games to destroy mankind.
