young Lord Wayne was on a business voyage with his parents when pirates boarded the ship killing both of Bruce's parents then grabbing Bruce and Making him into a cabin boy for many years until the ship was sunk by the British navy and Bruce survived by barely holding onto so lumber and was picked up and brought back to Britain where he became the owner of the Wayne fortune and business. Bruce goes on many businesses ventures during the day riding as a wealthy entrepreneur and by night raises the flags and hunts for pirates who would do the same to others as done to him

I would love to see them as actual pirates they would probably own every one with their ship called something like the flying seabat or something like that

Oh so good! DC PIRATE UNIVERSE IS SO GOOD! Green arrow, deathstroke and aquaman are perfect for a pirate universe.
Love the way the cape goes under those shoulder pieces.
Please show us more than just a photo shoot and a trailer; walk around wearing it in a video (after everything else has been done). Same with the Batfleck costume! Seeing it all come together and actually move around would be awesome

You should do a normal rusty old batarang that looks like it's been through hell. But have little silver calvings of the numbers of villains he's killed. Kinda like Captain Rex's armour from the Clone Wars.
Do an explosive batarang (Not with real explosives) Make a stick of dynamite and crudely tie it to one of the batarangs

It would be like a throw back to the gadgets the Adam West era batman had. He had a gadget for every occasion, even if they were ridiculous half the time.

hey chris big fan! following you from switzerland. I have some ideas that would add some awesomeness to ur already awesome cosplay: I see that you have some rings that you put on with the gauntlets. it would be awesome if youd find a green lantern ring and make it look like an ancient seal ring, like batman stole it fro a police of the seven seas green lantern! Also if youd make like a special batarang like one with a bomb attached to it that would be awesome.
At first I didn't think I was going to like the reverse fins, but they're actually badass! Nice work!
If you think of the batarangs as being similar to a pirate's dagger or cutlass, that may be the right inspiration for painting it. Steel and rust, perhaps.

I love this idea so much and the costume is looking AMAZING.
i like the decision to put the gauntlet braces on reversed. It makes sense in this time period as it would be able to catch a sword which you could then use to disarm them or open up an area of attack.

If you wanted the cape to still be able to drape over the shoulders without the whole section of pleather falling away from your neck, you could try making a slit in the cape just a little bit lower than the back of your neck and attach a leather strip in place over the cape and into the slit. That would keep the cape taught around the sides of the neck, and threaded around the back of the neck in the middle of the top of the cape, and still allow that cloak sort of look over the shoulders.
Hey Chris, I thought about what else you could put in the chest, what if you put an eye patch in there from Deathstroke?

the chest he done was to store "medals" from his past battles and victories. So makes sense to have that type of souvenir in it
The whole thing is perfection. The rings kind of blew my mind! The whole suit has suck practicality to it: length of the cape, direction of gauntlet blades, THE RINGS! haha Awesome work! You should have an explosive batarang of sorts!
Chris the costume looks awesome! You could make the Batarangs wooden, but with metal on the outside. Could maybe be done with paint
Amazing Costume Chris loving every part of the costume I hope this spawns a comic series because it's great! For one Batarang mabey have a rose tied to one paying homage to crime alley with Bruce bringing a rose to his parents death place.

But one thing I noticed on the Cape was that it didn't connect to the back of the collar piece. Although I'm not sure if connecting it would mess up the flow of the Cape.

This looks so bad ass! I think you should add some more little nods and trinkets to the pirate Batman universe. Something with Atlantis and Aquaman, maybe some other heroes and or villains. Like a eye patch for Deathstroke or a couple jagged teeth for Killer Croc idk I think that'd be so cool haha, keep up the great work Chris!

You could use those existing lines on the batarangs and bevel them, or wear the hell outta them, like, true battle damage, scratches and dents, etc... And for the rings, I don't know if you are planning to use those, they should be wore a lot as well... Looking great!

Not sure about a paint scheme for the Batarangs but maybe look for some interesting places to store them(boot, gauntlets, etc) In keeping with actual combat I'm sure he would want them in different locations so depending on the moment he has faster access. Just a thought

You should probably get a tan and grow a goatee with a bit of shag for the final cosplay. Kind of like Toby Stephens who plays Captain Flint on the TV Series Black Sails. Also, dirty up your hands and nails a bit. Probably add some scarring on the knuckles from punching victims, and a bit of dirt and blood underneath some of your finger nails. Given pirates were gritty back in the day.
You should also think of getting some type of stomach plating. This way you don't just look like a Musketeer with a Batman's pirate mask.

Now you can see what I mean.
An explosive baterang could be interesting, maybe having a small leather pouch filled with black powder on the side of the baterang.
I really like your concept and execution. Reminds me of one of my pak figures(timeless Wild West batman variant) that I though I wouldn't like much but it's become one of my favorite pak figures. I do have the blue one though, not the standard version that's the same color scheme as your costume. Anyway sick work as usual.
I think for the fins on the gauntlets you should of put fake shark teeth because pirate's used to hunt/fish sharks and to sell and I think it would give some more flair to to the gauntlets them selves

You should put a belt with a small belt in the middle and make loops for the batarangs and put it around your upper leg
You should add something to grab onto on the cape (like a small little wire) so u can grab it and pull it out like a bat

Hey Chris I think that the way you made the fins on the gauntlets is more practical it's kind of like a last resort weapon and it's almost like pirate Batman made it to catch blades and break them
Janis_Ian_ From_Mean_Gurlz The Fins Batman actually has are made to do just that. they are based of off a type of ninja gauntlet.
I think bronze with a little bit of green would be perfect for the batarang
And can add some scratch on where you hold them

awesome job. really great image of a bat pirate going on. one suggestion. viewing pirate movies like sinbad. cartoons and all they have like a thing of throwing themselves to a rope and if they miss they will rip the sail from top to bottom using a knife. since your fore arms are like the opposite way you could use the bat rangs to grip like a hook.
Best crossover idea. Edward Kenway meets Pirate Batman.
Maybe make a one clean batarang, and then a broken up batarang. That would be sweet looking.

you should make one of the guns shoot little shards of kryptonite
The batarang should be steel as I don't see pirates throwing precious metals at anyone. So maybe it could be darker with blue steel over tones. Like it was heated for a long time. Metal burn marks like alcohol was on it burning. Could add some purples to the color scheme too. Then maybe rust and blood on the outside. Should add chips to the edges too. It would make it look used.
I wanna see pirate Batman fighting laughing fish.
Some things are sacred, Chris. The backwards fins are a no-no.
I personally would exchange the gem ring, I see it as to much of a "rich pirate" type I would use another minimal gold or bronze color ring, even put it on the other hand to spice it up

Hey chris big fan of your channel ,love what you do and the pointers for customizing, great job man. I have a major question though since im not the most creative person with building suits, what sites do you recommend for cosplay items that are pretty good? Props arent hard to find at all, its just finding costumes that dont look like absolute ass. Trying to find things with a cinematic feel to them,So far I've only seen things that look like those skin tight spandex suits or the one's where they have so much cushion in them,you know the ones you find at alot of places that are cheaply made. If you can help me out i would greatly appreciate it,keep doing what you do,thanks

The gauntlets look absolutely wicked!! The weathering on the cape is a bit extreme for my taste but it does work great with the torso piece. As for the batarang, to work for that time period I'd go with a steel type look like the cutlass swords they used back then: www.relicman.com/weapons/imageweapon/W1219A.JPG. Another option is to go with a wooden Baterang like an actual boomerang, similar finish the handle on your guns.

Amazing work Chris ! i think you should definitely grow a beard, and a longer cape would have been manly, it made me thought of robin and not batman, and fake scars would add depth to your character in my opinion

For one of the batarangs, you could probably give an iron paint job.
Make a Batarang with gunpowder or something like an hitting bullet on it. Like if it was shot out of your hand one time
looks great, would you consider darkening the bat emblem on the chest for more contrast? now that the cape is black it seems like it would fit nicely and let it stand out a bit more in my op

Unless he did something for Halloween, recorded it, and just hasn't told us about it. Plus he could always make a video showing what he wore if it was anything different than his cosplay stuff. Also, even if its late who cares, Chris is awesome.

Chip bits off of one of the batarangs so they look worn and weathered, like he's been using the same few batarangs for years!
I don't know if it will effect it too much but have you tried wearing the gauntlets on the other hands? I only ask because the straps are usually supposed to fall downwards instead of the way they are going now.
i was kind of thinking about making a two face and joker batarang for the other two batarangs.
