I took a trip down to the keys from Miami and I was blown away. The mesmerizing drive to the keys is so amazing. All you see is water surrounding you. The vibe there is so different its like you drove to another country. I visited 3 years ago, and often find myself thinking about that beautiful place. Cant wait to go again!!!
I so love the Florida Keys! It is so extraordinary to be able to have a “true tropical 🏝 vacation”, yet not need a passport or have to leave the United States. We do love it here! Truly magical!
karen strycharz, Hawaii is also tropical. Additionally, I just learned recently that the southern tip of FL (Evereglades/Miami-Dade County approximately) is also tropical, not because of its latitude, as it's still 90 miles north of the Tropic of Cancer at the north coast of Cuba, but because of the warming influence of the Gulf Stream there.
@@masterofpuppets5072 the people r so nice friendly. It's a laid back slow pace..it took a while to get our food..lkl..we went to a place called dee's had the best home cooking and large portions cheap prices. I got me the meatloaf and mashed potatoes my husband got a Reuben sandwich I wonder if the place is still there 🤔I love the key deers.. people put water bowls outside for them..I shot video watching 15 of them in persons yard. Then we noticed down a lil..they were eating trash out of garbage cans. The locals were watching us closely. We would never hurt them. U gotta go slow. When they r born their lil hoof is as big as ur thumb print😁
Key West on the pier at dusk to see the entertainment! I would then go to the museum ( where the ship was discovered & tons of gold on display!) and stop somewhere for grilled red snapper & cold beer, topped off with Key Lime pie fur dessert!
Driving down the overseas highway and visiting The Keys is a bucket list item. For my 40th birthday in November I plan to drive down to Fort Lauderdale. Spend a day there. Then drive down to the keys. Spend 2.5 days there. Drive back up to Miami and spend 2 days there. Then on the way home stop in Orlando for a day and ride the 4 roller coasters of Sea World. Looking forward to it! 🙂
I literally just mentioned the Keys.. had to be my family's next Florida destination.. we just did Destin and fort Walton Beach for memorial weekend this yr.. my son wants to do Miami
A very attractive place and on my list of places to go. I haven't been to the keys since I was a young child. Being a new travel blogger and blogger I plan to take full advantage of my travel freedom and visit this area soon.
It's a very attractive place. I've been to Miami a few times, but it's quite different atmosphere here. I hope I can go there soon!. Thank you for sharing. Everybody stay health!! 💪💪💪
Hi i live in Florida i love the keys i grew up there i see stingrays robbys is my fav i love camping i grew up with the ocean i hope you come and vist my home soon. Luna
I so love Venice ( Sharky’s on the Pier, our favorite!!!),Tarpan Springs, Homanassa Sorings, Clearwater , Naples & the gulf coast of Florida in general!!! Specially gorgeous cities & love St Augustine on Atlantic side too but Key West is magical! Please check out Mt Dora, Ocala. & Taveras area ( north central Florida) too!
Wow, this Florida Keys video is seriously lit 🔥! I'm all about that budget travel life, and this guide is giving me major inspo for my next adventure. Thanks for showing that amazing travel doesn't have to break the bank! 🌴🌊 #TravelGoals #BudgetFriendly
My favorite place too! Key West & Cape Cod are magical destinations. Two incredible vacation places my family so dearly loved & we have been returning to yr after yr for over 50 yrs!
It’s a little misleading. The shots near the beginning showing the beautiful sandy beach and clear turquoise water is actually in the Dry Tortugas National Marine Sanctuary, which is a $250 all day ferry excursion from Key West, or a Circa $400 seaplane ride. You only get a couple of hours there. It’s not really part of the keys. They do cover that briefly nearer the end of the video. The Keys beaches are actually pretty poor and few and far between, nothing like other areas of Florida. Most people assume the Keys have awesome beaches, but that not the case.
The water all around the Keys is exquisite!!! It is very clear & clean no matter where you go in the Keys & all the different shades of turquoise & sapphire blue! Key West & it’s incredible water reminds me so much if the Caribbean & best part is that you do not need a passport to visit here! Water is so warm too & swimming in that clear, gorgeous water with the shades of turquoise all around you is extraordinary!!!! Love the Key West & adore the water there!
A incredible place to visit & absolutely number one on our vacation list! It is such a beautiful place to visit & we always feel like we are in the Caribbean when we come here but the best part is, you do not need a passport to visit here.
I wished i saw this informative video before our visit to the keys. We visited at the end of april and it super hot 🥵 34C under the shade. Next time, we will visit in February instead.
Key West is cool but lets be honest, the road down is full of slow drivers, bad drivers, and speed traps. Further, fishing charters (like $2000+ a day out of isla morada) are stupid expensive and don't bother trying to book a trip to fort jefferson (dry tortugas), those trips are reserved months in advance. I've been going to the keys every year, once, sometimes twice a year for the last 8 years. The day trip ferry to fort jefferson is $180 per person. If you have a group of 4 or more, you can find a captain willing to take you out there for about the same as it costs for 4 round trip tickets on the stupid ferry. Plus it comes with the added benefit of setting your own arrival and departure times... and maybe some snorkeling off the dry tortugas. As for some Key West life hacks, bring your own sunscreen (the reef safe version). Shop at the publixs for food if your cheap or planning on spending the day on a boat. Beach towels are hard to find in Key West, buy them on the way down. El Siboney and Half Shell Raw Bar are my favorite places to eat. Enjoy a lot of key lime pie, each place makes it a little differently. The Southern most marker is very busy from about 10 am to 2 am, visit as early as possible.
Expedia I love watching your videos it increases my knowledge and helps in improving Vocabulary as well , a request please make a video on milford sound!
I've been interested in travelling back to Florida for a while now. At first I was primarily interested in the Everglades, then the tropical portion in general, then I discovered Dry Tortugas, and now this video of the entire Keys! Once this virus is over I'd love to drive down to paradise in the Keys! Are the Keys friendly for tent camping?
One Love it’s open but it’s also a hot spot just like my home. I may visit this fall or after a vaccine. I feel like fall would be an excellent time to see this state .
A Cuban-American icon, The San Carlos Institute located at 516 Duval Street in the heart of Key West is MUST SEE and is awesome for history! Now a FREE museum (they accept donations and I always donate), it’s a great find and arguably one of the most beautiful buildings in Key West. Cuba has a lot of tied history with the USA, especially in Key West. Here you will see artifacts, art, documents, and other historical Cuban and Cuban American pieces. Devote about 30 mins to an hour and you won’t regret it.
Islamorada translates from Spanish as "purple island". Expedia, maybe I'm nitpicking here, but 'tarpon' is pronounced TARP-un, rather than TAR-pahn. Has anyone out there had the thought whiz through their head while watching this, that in the same country where the Keys are found, there's also the beautiful, but entirely different, state of Alaska, and the further different desert states of the SW, and the states of the Rockies? The variety in the USA is mindboggling.
This one of the best and most delightful UA-cam videos that I’ve ever seen. Once in a while, I come back and rewatch it…

Along this incredible string of tropical islands, which part was your crowning jewel? Let us know where your first stop would be in Florida Keys.
I am so happy to see that you have me the travel guide about the Florida Keys I’ve always wanted to go? Will you ever do a travel guide of Costa Rica?
@Tobi Ojo One of our favorite places to visit
First stop recommendation would be John Pennekamp Marine National Park, Key Largo! World-class snorkelling & diving 👌🏼😍🏝
