Born Virginian, raised Californian. I moved from Fairfax, Virginia at the age of 4 and moved to San Francisco, and let me tell you - it is absolutely BREATHTAKING and such an honor to live there. Great people, great city, beautiful landscapes- it's truly the best place to live if you have different love preferences or have changed your identity in a way. No one judges - that's one of the greatest characteristics of the place. Truly love it. San Francisco will forever be the city of my dreams- because when you have two amazingly beautiful bridges, wonderful neighborhoods, accepting people, and the nicest community I have ever seen. Have loved it and still love it. Will continue to embrace living there forever. Highly recommend this as a travel location. Completely amazing.
TheThunderAngel AJ That is cool, because I currently live in Ashland, Oregon but I am considering the vague-possibility of one day moving down to San-Francisco one-day. I wanna visit it first though.
I left my heart and my daughter in San Francisco. I will never forget this wonderful city. Thank you very much for this beatiful video to Expedia team.
I am a born and raised californian and San fran is definitely one of my fav cities in Cali it's so beautiful and great weather and there is so much to do

San Francisco is a very different setting than LA. I must admit that I did like it. This is coming from an Angelino man, SF is truly one of a kind. Everything about it shouts "memories". It has an amazing view and fisherman's dwarf was a great place to visit.
San Francisco Truly is 'one of a kind!' I am hopefully moving there in a couple of years and I cannot explain how excited I am! I think I've watched this video about 50 times! Of course I've recommended the channel to everyone I know ; it is the number one source for Travel guides!
Rusgah Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! We're so happy that you enjoy watching our travel videos. Best of luck to you and your future move! :)
I've never been to San Francisco or New York. Have you been to New York? Is San Francisco better? Trying to decide where to go next SF or NYC. But maybe leaning towards SF , NYC seems stressful or too busy, I want a more relaxed pace.
+ylang ylang I've never been to New York, but everyone I know just says that it's just a messier SF. San Francisco is awesome so if you get a chance to go you should, but I've never been to New York so I'm not one to judge
+ylang ylang but SF is relaxed, so if that's what you're going for you should go there. It's busy at some places but definitely not as busy as New York
Spent a few months here and miss it already. Going back very soon! Yes it’s an expensive city because it’s an amazing place, and you can at least get by there if you are willing to make it happen. Great jobs available there and valuable connections to be made. Great weather that makes you want to get out and explore. It’s the best place to be if you’re going to live in America.
@Ramen Lover that’s pretty much anywhere in the US lol I’ve never been able to comfortably afford my own place. Maybe if I move to a cornfield in Iowa or something but then I’ll be bored with money in my savings.
@Ramen Lover yeah everyone I met in SF had roommates. It’s a normal thing out there. My room was $1400 just by itself which is just insane. I’m in Vegas now and basically got my own place for $700 a month. Close enough to SF for occasional visits
I went to sf yesterday for the first time in my life! You never know how much I smiled once the bus turned and I saw the Golden Gate Bridge. I just moved to cupertino and id be willing to travel back to sf any day! I haven't completely strolled throughout the city, but I'm in love with San Francisco
The City by the Bay, one of the few places in California i've not had the opportunity of visiting. Traveling is so wonderful, get up, get out and see something New and Exciting while you can. Nobody is promised tomorrow so make the most out of it today. I certainly would like to visit SF one day to take in all it has to offer.
G.Q. Ugly Duckling That bridge looks amazing, on one side of it Oakland and on the other San Francisco (i'm guessing). I wonder why they're not both called the *Cities* by the Bay?
I love San Francisco just because of The Golden Gate Park, there were many hippies gathering there and took place the Summer of love in 1967. Love and Peace from Vietnam
I'm going to San Fransisco tomorrow! I will take a plane to LA, then drive to San Fransisco the next morning, I will only have a few days to spend in San Fransisco since spring break is only one week, but I hope I will be able to see the attractions listed in this video! The Golden Gate Bridge is a must, followed by Alcatraz, then I wanna see Muir Woods! Also I wanna go see China Town then take a cable car around the city! Expedia introduced me to all these ideas of what to do in San Fransisco! Thanks a lot, take care!

Hi Vickie, I visited my brother Pete this weekend. He wasn't feeling well so I have to drive to his house and help with errands. I will let you know ahead of time when he comes to SF. P.S. I have not forgotten. Lol.
I went just before the pandemic hit in February and it was truly stunning. I came from NYC, and I had low expectations, because I am an elitist New Yorker, but San Francisco shut me up very quickly. First of all, SFO was one of the best airports I've ever been to, JFK and LGA are just awful. The geography, the mountains in particular, is very picturesque in California. Even though the city is actually not very big or overly populated, it feels pretty busy and lively during the day. There are some great places to shop and eat. I went to a restaurant in Sausalito and had dinner on the water looking across the bay at San Francisco, it was very beautiful. Definitely a charming city, and I would love to visit again one day.
Wow! I really adore USA so much. i was there last year and i loved it. I remember all the beatiful places where i was. The airports are clean, modern and fabulous. All american treated me pretty good and i appreciate them a lot 'cuase you were really very friendly with me. I love you all so much, i send you millions of salutes from Mexico. I MISS USA! I WANNA GO BACK AGAIN!. :D
San Francisco was truly an amazing experience when I traveled there. The Boardwalk and Union Square were some of my favourites. One day, I’m going to live there.
I went last summer in this city among Vegas and Los Angeles... SF is my favorite city by far, everything over there seemed so nice. The energy overall is different and positive that's what I felt at least. I highly recommend people to visit the city if they plan to do a trip in Western US.
Mufasa imho if you want to see the nature, landscapes, forests, mountains, deserts... Etc you should visit the West Coast. If you want to see the culture of the mankind you should visit the East Coast then.

The city, the nature and the people are all beautiful!! I really wanna go there! I especially like the climate. Not too hot, not too cold is a perfect weather for human being!
I live next to San Francisco in the San Mateo county. it's one of my favorite cities to just take a day off and visit it when you want to do something fun for the day.

Last year, as a first timer to the City, my husband and i watched this video and it helped us get ideas on where to visit while in the city. I was in San Francisco almost a month ago for the first time. It's expensive, but more than worth it from a visitor's perspective. It has gorgeous weather, is well kept and a lot of really interesting historical and natural sites.
I absolutely love your travel videos, Expedia. I am currently studying abroad in France (which I love) but this excellent video shot me with feelings of nostalgia and yearning for my hometown. I can't wait to go back to this incredible city. Thank you, Expedia!
San Francisco is probably the best city in California, As a Californian-native, San Francisco holds a special place in my heart. There's nowhere I've been that's as unique and awesome!
i always wanted to go to san francisco, it's one of my dream city along with nyc seattle and chicago, i know nothing about economy, politics nor any of these stuff but just simply the prettiness makes me want to go there, if only i could, that is
Super glad visiting this great city last week!!!!! From crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, touring the Alcatraz Island to eating at Fishermans Warf!! A must visit city for a life time for those who haven't visit!
Traveled here from San Diego where Im from and I must say this city is very beautiful and it feels damn near enchanting if that makes since.. The trees and the crisp air, it was a refreshing break from the humidity of San Diego.
San Francisco is the United States west coast performed for the first time by a honeymoon 22 years before. I felt like seeing this video and visiting again.
I'm so glad and proud to be a native San Francisco resident and continue at the moment to live in my very great City By the Bay. Stay cool San Francisco you're the most beautiful city to both live in and be at in the world!!!! Oh just to let Expedia know in most cases especially in Union Square the streets of San Francisco are anything but wide and big just saying... but other than that what a cool video!! #ProudtobeSanFranciscan
If I have the money later on in the future, I'm moving to San Francisco! There's just so many lovely things about this city! It's literally surrounded by the pacific ocean so it has those breezy 60s temperatures all year long! And fog comes every night! That's such a unique climate. Better than LA's in my opinion. Also how the city is built. Street after street of beautiful row houses. That's perfect for me. It provides you that urban feel and density but you can still have the space of your own house. Like as if it was a regular house. Just minus a front and backyard. But those sacrifices are worth it! San Francisco looks like a professionally built and well planned community! I want to visit this place real bad to get the feel of it! And then when I'm older and get good money I'll move up north!
San Francisco is truly a unique and beautiful city! We're so happy that you enjoyed this video and hope that your dreams of moving to SF will come true! Happy travels :)
what a great video - thank you! i was looking for something to get my young kids excited (and informed) about our upcoming trip, and this is perfect. :)

La città più bella del mondo!!!!
#ProudtobeSanFranciscan

inspireing tour Guide Narator. Good Morning San Francisco
Expedia I'll visit the city one day! It will happen!

Thank you so much for this video. I was hesitant to spend more than 2 nights in San Francisco but now I know better
I live 15 minutes away from Downtown San Francisco...lucky me!
Since you said you live 15 minutes away from down town that must be 5 blocks away. Lol
This Expedia video makes me think of Scott Mc Kenzie singing the song San Francisco I especially would like to visit the Haight Ashbury district
