I've never been but plan to take a trip down there this year. Heading to Navarre with a friend in the spring but hopefully I'll take a trip in the fall down there. It's at the top of my list of places to visit in Florida right now
@@Corytricks Sarasota has never had a direct hurricane hit. They have felt the effects of storms passing by but not the full impact. Having said that, they are theoretically vulnerable to hurricanes. However, it's a low probability. Miami is much more vulnerable.
@@TheJooberjones Is it getting overcrowded? That's a matter of opinion. There are occasional issues with traffic but everything is relative. Compared to some years ago, there has been a big increase. How bad? Walk in the park if compared to NY or other large cities. All relative.
Nice job on capturing Sarasota. I live here and feel very lucky. We have so many beautiful beaches from Siesta Key Beach and the quartz sand to Lido Beach which is a little less crowded. Neighboring is Anna Maria Island and I can go on and on.
I moved here from adjacent Charlotte County a few years ago and I absolutely Love it. I also like nearby places like Bradenton and Venice! Glad to see my hometown is getting the recogntion
There should be a Expedia's video of Orlando Florida as well, because it's actually one of the best major cities in both the country and the State of Florida to live and visit since the city itself has so much to offer" and Orlando is the #1 theme park capital in the country.

Meh... been there a lot over the years. They do a good job of showing the small core and not the mass of mind-numbing traffic light and eight-lane suburbia around it. I hear the aquarium is moving out to idyllic I-75. Get everyone in the car kids to explore Sarasota's unparalleled sea of parking lots!
I think I will take a drive. Is there a Jewish Center that’s open because it’s time that I talk to someone. After being in Tampa, I will probably move in without even packing.
We live in Naples, Florida and visit Sarasota often. We usually stay overnight somewhere on lovely Siesta Key.
