    Thank you for making these videos. They are truly great and understandable, I just wish my teacher would teach it herself. But thank you again, this is a page that I will come back to if I'm ever trying to relearn Spanish.

    6:59 although here doesn't add up, shouldnt there also be IOP for vosotros -> Os?
    And also, in the blue box in table its written "direct object", should it not be written Indirect object?

    I almost sent this to one of my friends because I was enjoying how easygoing you are when teaching, and they struggle quite a bit with Spanish. Double check for mistakes in your sentences. Little details can confuse non-native speakers when they try to put things into practice. I hope you are able to add the missing article!

    Thanks for the video. What's difficult for me is when direct object pronouns refer to people. It's a weird concept that 'lo' and 'la' can refer to a person or inanimate object/ thing. That's a hard concept because in English you don't typically refer to people as 'it', only objects, ideas, etc. are called that. So I've been trying to get over this hurdle for years when I try to practice my Spanish listening skills by watching TV shows.

    • @Baselang

      100%, watching TV is a great extra resource to train your ear and get used to concepts like these!

    i feel like textbooks teach you in that robotic way, whenever i see people learn my language (dutch) they also write very robotic as if it was written by a translator, unfortunatly many textbooks teach that way, it was the same for me when learning english,. only when i started to use what i learned in college i found out that natives speak very different. thanks for these kind of videos :D

    Also if you have two verbs the direct object can be put before the first verb or attached at the end of the last verb like in the first few examples of this video. If you just have one verb you put the direct object pronoun in front of it.
    The rules are the same for indirect object pronouns.

    I'm confused at 9:00. I feel like it should be "Nosotros les la estamos enseñando" because they're showing it to the students so ellos, and the indirect pronoun formula says ellos is les. Can someone explain?

    • @rear5118
      @rear5118 Рік тому

      "les" (and also "le") turns into "se" when it is followed by a direct object pronoun which starts with the letter "L" (lo, la, los, las). This is purely done for phonetic reasons as it is explained in the video at 7:40
