I don’t understand the hate this Album gets. Yes; Let The Devil In is far superior, but this is still Sargeist. Especially being Hoath’s and Horn’s last recorded work with Shatraug. This album rules
Actually I consider this to be much better than LTDI. Less catchy, less polished, but much deeper, darker, underground and serious. This record is certainly a grower, but once it has grown on you, it becomes obvious that this is their best and most essential, this is THE Sargeist.
Sargeist is one of the greatest black metal bands of all times. I hope the next album sounds more like Let the devil in. If you like Sargeist you should check out Behexen. They are very good too 🤘

i actually think this is my favourite record of theirs. the production is just the way i like it and the lyrics are pure cosmic horror.
Probably my favorite album of theirs. So spiritual and entrancing.
the last one where it truly sounded like sargeist. the new era ones are good but very different.

It sounds way too lo-fi, most of the time I simply can't hear what they are playing
