The chassis is practically a copy of the Märklin chassis of the 1960s, which uses the same kind of return spring.
The locomotive is using the 'new' UIC letter code, where the D indicates that it has a luggage compartment (door in the centre)
The glue residue on the bogies looks like the traces of a detection magnet
