I went in to see why she was crying, brought her out and led her to her matt as it was in the middle of nap time. When it came that she was actually locked in the bathroom, I was fired for not knowing/reporting it. The teacher who locked her in? No punishment. You should have reported that she was locked in. You did not therefore you are complicit. Being in childcare currently, it is extremely common for teachers to get overwhelmed at the situation. It stems from not knowing how to handle child behavior and being neglected as a child yourself. It’s not just physical abuse that’s looked over so much, mental and emotional abuse is also a huge problem. (Especially with neurodivergent kids.) And the school doesn’t always act this way when confronted about it sometimes they just don’t know because they don’t think a teacher would do something like that. Either way thank you so much for spreading awareness about this 😊

WE NEED A PART 3
This reminds me kinda of something that happend to me in my old school when I was 5-7 years old. We had PE and the teacher told me to wait somewhere, so I did. For somewhere between 2-6 hours. The teacher had completely forgotten me and nothing even happend to the teacher. He/she didn’t get fired and the school just covered it up. Luckily I’m now in a way better school :)
My daughter went to daycare for one week. Friday of that week myself and another mom spent the day reporting many instances of abuse and neglect that occurred during that one week alone! Go file a police report, then drive to DCF/DCFS whichever it’s referred to as in your region but file a detailed report with both agencies.
Dis actually happened to My lil sister when I was picking her up I tackled them😅
