Only if the concourses and exit routes are designed for the extra capacity. Bramley Moore is, not sure on Anfield ? The Kop can’t have a increased capacity within its current state.
I don't think you can compare the stafiums like for like. They both have something special. The interior of Anfield provides a unique atmosphere and look both impressive and imposing. The exterior however has no symmetry to it with four different roof heights. However who looks at the roof? New Everton Stadium is all symetrical and it will be interesting to find out what the noice level will be and how imposing the atmosphere is. Both grounds have so much to offer.
Everton’s new stadium is an architectural triumph - Functional and beautiful. I’m an LFC fan but not impressed with how anfield is evolving. It’s an architectural disaster for many reasons. Aesthetically awful. Mismatched stands. The biggest problem with having 4 flat stands is that the seats that would normally be placed in the corner quadrants - have to be added as back rows of the flat stand to achieve the same capacity. So the seats at back of new anfield road stand are about 150 metres from Kop goalmouth and The players will look tiny from that distance. BM dock doesn’t have this problem !
The modern football fan is weird. Honestly, who cares about aesthetics? It's all subjective anyway, and of very little importance compared to what happens on the field of play. It's about the football. Not waving your penis over the aesthetics of a stadium. Mind you, in this bizarrely messed up world in which we live, maybe, for some, how something looks is all that matters. Sad really.
@@davidspion9548 What he's said is very relevant to a stadium discussion. Some don't care about their surrounds, others do and feel the experience is more than just the actual match.

BMD is costing Everton £750,000,000 to gain just 12,000 extra seats they don't actually need. If they ever manage to get an investor to finish the build and fit the ground out the repayments will cripple the club more than the project already is. LFC did the sensible thing. EFC went with a penis waving vanity project that will be a financial millstone around their necks for decades.
@@davidspion9548 Everton sell out every game. Those extra 13,000 seats will be snapped up even with more terrible football. A move was the only option apart from a total rebuild and the footprint doesn't make that easy at all.
Bramley Dock looks spectacular and will produce a great atmosphere on Derby Days, I can understand why Everton chose a 52,000capacity because if any larger I guess they may struggle to fill it further majority of matches and this woukd be detrimental to the atmosphere, 52,000 is about right but Everton need to find the right owners for the club asap as otherwise they could have some serious financial issuses in the years ahead Anfield has a great ambiance and atmosphere the best in the Premier League only really challenged by a full St James Park in Newcastle.Anfield though does need to expand the Sir Kenny with a third teir and better concourse facilities which would need the club to buy out and demolish the houses in Skerries Road. and raise the roof line to that of the Main Stand.Likewise the Kop needs to be made bigger and its roof line to be the height of the Annie Road end.The kop can be heightened and a further 5 000 seats added to it just by raising the roof and increase the ratio of the steepness of the terraces from the 26% ratio to 37% as per the yellow wall in Dortmund.this will add more rows of seats to the stand and again increase the volume noise and atmosphere in the ground. The development of the Kop and a third tier bigger Sir Kenny woukd take Anfield to 73,000 which is more in keeping with the ground capacity Liverpool require to fulfil their season ticket waiting list I don't think you can compare Anfield with Bramley Dock, both Stadiums are unique and spectacular and deserving of the football mad city that Liverpool is. Liverpool need to develop Anfield further, Everton need to secure their long term financial security.
Easily Everton’s. It’s not even a comparison at all. Liverpool built theirs from corrugated sheeting and some old scaffolding off Facebook market place for £8.50. And got a local fella who works ‘on the side’ to nail it all up. Everton actually paid an architect and built an amazing stadium to be proud of.
Anfield is the most iconic club stadium in England. The owners are tight-fisted, but I will give them some credit for not going down the carbon copy, plastic soulless grounds with no identity (a category which the Ev stadium fits into).
Anfield is a poor relation to BLD for sure . The new stadium will propel Everton IMO . Not a fan but easy to see that Everton have the greater potential going forward.
It's a bit like Trigger's broom though. Effectively a new stadium built on the site of the old. Looks mighty fine, but all modern stadia are somewhat generic for the sake of customer experience. No bad thing for those of us who experienced the squalid, 'good' old days.

What a ridiculous comment. Everton never built Anfield. They rented it off the guy who went on to found LFC. That was until they couldn't pay the rent and got kicked out. It doesn't matter where Everton play. LFC and Anfield will always be more iconic. Also, BMD is in a hemmed in position and the worst possible part of the entire north docks redevelopment area. Hard up against a massive sewage works. Peel saw them coming and were overjoyed to offload the least attractive parcel of land on the river front to Everton. Well surely anfield will surpass 70-000 then
Only if the concourses and exit routes are designed for the extra capacity. Bramley Moore is, not sure on Anfield ? The Kop can’t have a increased capacity within its current state.
It would be amazing if Everton could bring the top-flight trophy to another stadium!
Absolutely
I don't think you can compare the stafiums like for like. They both have something special. The interior of Anfield provides a unique atmosphere and look both impressive and imposing. The exterior however has no symmetry to it with four different roof heights. However who looks at the roof? New Everton Stadium is all symetrical and it will be interesting to find out what the noice level will be and how imposing the atmosphere is. Both grounds have so much to offer.
Why?
Liverpoo havint got a New stadium to compare with Everton's new one so until they build their own new stadium it's a daft question.
Great comment, agreed they have expanded Anfield on the cheap and it shows .
@@timhanser1943
It's called cost effective redevelopment which doesn't leave the club cash strapped for decades to come.
The development of the Kop and a third tier bigger Sir Kenny woukd take Anfield to 73,000 which is more in keeping with the ground capacity Liverpool require to fulfil their season ticket waiting list
I don't think you can compare Anfield with Bramley Dock, both Stadiums are unique and spectacular and deserving of the football mad city that Liverpool is.
Liverpool need to develop Anfield further, Everton need to secure their long term financial security.
Why? Legacy vs modern
Anfield is like the aftermath of a dog's dinner.
Build all you can, there is a difference between playing at Anfield and the other stadiums.. There you have it, as to which is the best..
They already conquered anfield time to build the cities best and conquer that aswell
Why?
Everton's stadium is more modern and looks amazing 😁😁

It doesn't matter where Everton play. LFC and Anfield will always be more iconic. Also, BMD is in a hemmed in position and the worst possible part of the entire north docks redevelopment area. Hard up against a massive sewage works. Peel saw them coming and were overjoyed to offload the least attractive parcel of land on the river front to Everton. The ground screening the sewage farm from the far more desirable development land to its south.
