The stadium was backed almost unanimously by local government. It also was unanimously approved by the City Council Planning Committee. The public plans for the stadium, which were displayed across the city, got over 90% approval. What a load of old tosh the voiceover is. Who are these people?

Decrepit? Mate thats offensive. We'd love to keep Goodison if we could and play in it historically for some games, but thats not possible. As every set of fans do, we love our stadium. We don't view it as 'old', we view it as 'historic', because that's what it is, it's special and one of the few stadiums like it, and we love it because of that. Goodison will always be Everton's home, as that's where all the heritage is, Bramley Moore is theoretically going to help us move forward, although I'm unsure on that part.

They didn’t …..it was briefly mentioned deep in the document. Given the distance it is away from the three graces, it’s comparable with suggesting that any UNESCO site will be affected by any development a mile and a half away, so utter nonsense
if i offer you a free trip to New York, would you say 'hang on mate, i just want to check if it is a world heritage site?' of course not. an empty docklands for 50 years cost as our world heritage because we built something on it? and there is new buildings next to Tower Bridge in London and the Colloseum in Rome...load of shit this is who gives a donald duck?
I’m a Spurs fan and know this video is chock full of bollox. The Toffees love Goodison and it’s far from decrepit. Great football team also from the better half of the city. The UNESCO tripe makes no sense and I can’t wait to see it built and pop up for an away fixture

totally wrong on a couple of points 1 it wasnt firmly opposed...the only people who opposed it was unesco
2. the funding for the stadium has nothing to do with the council ...it is completely PRIVATELY FUNDED!!
I think you will find the video said the funding was guaranteed by the council not funded by the council, The video is correct.

Goodison Park is very atmospheric
but it's difficult to get up for games when all you have is slackers on the pitch 90% of the time.
2:08 Tottenham stadium is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, but the exterior is completely toilet seat. The south stand is excessive. It was necessary to balance by dispersing seats.

They will be very different, one is a futuristic very modern stadium, the other is a traditional stadium with some add ons, I like anfield even though I am a blue, it is electric and pulsating ground, it will take time to build our atmosphere but we will do it because we have fabulous fans 💙💙

I’m a blue and goodison is a beautiful historic stadium and it will be sad to leave it but I am sure the new stadium will be a huge upgrade with a larger capacity it could do the fans wonders with the atmosphere we create with 39,000 imagine 53,000
the Everton ground wasn't the reason the UNESCO was taken away . virtually the whole of the riverfront has been developed . and a hell of a lot more is planned .

It’s not just the stadium it’s the whole regeneration of a crumbling forgotten North dockland area , also creating thousands of jobs. Who cares what UNESCO think ? I bet most of them have never been to Liverpool. We’re pioneers , it’ll be the 3rd stadium we’ve built in the city ! We just need a decent team to grace it now. COYB .

The small increase in capacity isn’t worth the move
Why the negativity blue. Goodison has been a great home for what seems like ever. The atmosphere at Goodison is second to none. I can't argue with that!! Tell me what that atmosphere has delivered over the last three decades? That would be nothing other than a few great nights. It's time to let it go mate. We will have one of the most modern stadiums in Europe and it's up to the fans to make the atmosphere as intimidating as Goodison. Get behind it brother, this will be our new home and must be celebrated.
