- Leica Hektor 28mm f6.3 1940 vs Leica Summaron f5.6 1957, the classics from two generations
For a long time I was really curious about these two lenses.
First the Hektor that had kind of an old school outdated reputation, but still pretty solid when you looked at the reviews.
Then the Summaron that Leica decided to bring back in production in 2016, making it an instant classic.
Apart from the fact that one succeeded another, in terms of classic vintage looks, what does one element / group extra make?

this is a video I have been looking for years, thank you for making it mate
Happy to hear that. Often I have difficulties judging lenses I’m interested in with reviews that don’t really compare them to something else I can relate to or find info about. Glad to see I’m not the only one. Cheers. :)
