- It's Friday and The Trick is back with another how to! This week our host Preston Strout catches up with Desiree Melancon at High Cascade Snowboard Camp to learn frontside lipslides. Front lips are a must have for your jib game and a trick you can take to just about any feature on the mountain. Listen in as Desiree explains the 4 key steps to banging out a good front lip from cracking a good ollie to keeping your shoulders nice and square. Remember...don't rush it! Just to add, sometimes if not done cleanly you won't even notice that someone is doing a lipslide.
Really sexy lipslides have that nice hang off the nollie and then the board will just shoot out over the rail, recoiling back in as you come off.

No, a boardslide would mean his nose would go over the rail. In front/backside lipslides, you swing the tail of your board over the rail

Are lip slides different then board slides cause this is backside aka your back is facing up the hill front side is your front of your body facing up the hill
thats not it man its a frontside cause the rail is in front of you when you jump its a backside when its in your back
+Brenton Miller if the rail if on your frontside when coming up to it, it's frontside. If the rail is on your backside when coming up to it, it's backside

I really don't mean to hate but has anyone else noticed how guys have so much more style than girls? I know a lot of people will disagree but honestly put up any male pro snowboarder against a female pro snowboarder and most of the time the guy would have a lot more style. Again, don't mean to hate, just an observation...
yea, maybe,......but I see plenty of guys with shit style too.....I think it just depends on the person and their dedication to HAVING style.....

Brenton Miller It goes by the way your body faces approaching the rail. The front of her body was facing the rail, therefor its frontside, and vice-versa.

It's called a lipslide because your back foot goes over the rail
