What helped me when learning was focusing on keeping my shoulders pointed downhill while twisting my lower half. Didn’t need to think about counter rotation. If your shoulders always remain downhill your lower half with naturally snap back in place when it’s time to get off the box.
Easiest tip to not “have to think”about the counter rotation motion is to approach box with arms position opens towards it. Then counter rotation will happen naturally. Opposite (closed arms) position for fs boardslide. Hope that helps ✌️

It’s it like skateboarding
No with a skateboard you can let go of the board, with a snowboard you are attached so you are more commited imo. Otherwise you break your head or back lol

easier than skateboarding (boardslide) imo, since you don't need that perfect ollie on to those object... timing is really hard when skateboarding.

It’s similar to skateboarding. If you can already skateboard then snowboarding should come easy!
