They should have made the ex-wife a lesbian and Dakota fanning's character Trans. This movie is soooo Not inclusive. The fact that Tom Cruise is sis in this makes me so angry. Where are all the people of color? I can't believe the rejects reacted to this movie and posted it online. It is very much not progrssive.
Out of the many, many reactors to this movie, you both were the first ones to point out my favorite movie effect. The camera shot of them going down the Freeway in one long continuous circle in close almost entering the car , pull out and go around it and coming back in the window. I look forward to it every time. So smooth you don't notice it.
The grenades didn't stop the alien invasion, it just stopped that specific tripod war machine since it blew up from the inside because of the grenades. The lack of knowledge or preparation against any bacteria indigenous to Earth caused the aliens to die, even Morgen Freeman explained it at the end of the movie.
Yeah, I really didn’t understand where they got the idea that one grenade stopped the invasion. They got so stuck on this “hive mind” theory they came up with that they completely ignored Morgan Freeman literally telling them that it was bacteria that the aliens had no immunity to is what killed them. They breathed our air and drank our water, the pathogens that humans have long developed immunity to through countless deaths in the past is what destroyed the aliens. That bugged me, because it’s a huge part of the ending and how the aliens were beaten. They all got infected the second they breathed our air and in less than 24 hours their systems became overwhelmed by millions of pathogens that humans don’t need to worry about any longer.
That literally flew right over their heads for some reason. Because Morgan Freeman didn't specifically say the term "germs" or "bacteria" and only showed and animation, I can see why some folks wouldn't know what that animation represents. Know what I mean?
@@pen1208 I understand what you’re saying, but if they were paying attention I feel it was pretty clear what he meant. I know he didn’t spell it out, but the wording made it really clear that it was bacteria he was talking about, especially with the animation. They seemed to latch on to the hive mind theory and that the grenades that killed the one alien craft is what caused them all to die and that feels like why they didn’t understand what Freeman was saying.
He told the mechanic to change the solenoid when he was heading to the lightning strike. The mechanic told him it worked as they were walking there. A solenoid is an electromagnet so the EMP fried the one in there. The people in the river unlifed-ed themselves. The tripods were using human blood as part of their terraforming, they were "watering" the vein-like vines with it.
That is also a much older Van, Noi computer or ciruit boards, so once they replaced the one fried part it would still run, versus any modern car with all the computer componets the EMP would have fried them
Yh I was a tad confused why they were first vaporising humans, then collecting them, and then occasionally draining them from the straw, just to spray their blood! But I can see how the vaporising and spraying were part of the terraforming, but what’s with the straw? What I gathered by the end was this sit or marinate in our fat? Like the juices coming out of the machine looked like fat oils you can see from humans? And I know not all the tripods are the same, seems like some clear the path(vaporising) others sew the seeds and water them. But that straw one really threw me for a loop 😅
@@jessimarim_m9387 They vaporised just to cull as they didn't need all humans for blood. The pipe thing that punctured humans sucked out their blood for it to be sprayed later for the terraforming as the weird alien weed thing fed on it like Earth plants feed on water. They collected them to store until they were to be used for their blood to terraform another part. The leakage from the actual machines was just them venting some biproduct of whatever was fuelling them.
I was like 10 when I first watched this movie, and I got every premise of it. I was understanding the background moments and the listening to the dialogue. so seeing comments like these, explaining the sort of obvious hints and story telling about how things work and what certain were doing, makes me feel better in that I wasn’t alone in knowing what was going on.
They literally said the bacteria caused the extinction. Y’all are blowing my mind right now that you just didn’t listen to Freeman’s voiceover at the end. What did you think that epilogue meant?
Reel Rejects - The grenades took out just the one Tripod because they exploded inside. The invasion as a whole was defeated by bacteria. Very simply, the Martians got sick and died.
Yh I remembered as Morgan finished talking I was like oh yh! I remember the meme that went around that germs killed the aliens 😂 it was like a whole joke on the internet back in the day, and it came back just as the zoom in, cause not gonna lie, at first my mind said, ‘ah yes, tape worms, they’re a bitch’ 😂😂😂 but tbf I recently saw a video about them, so I see lines I think worms!😂
Y’all missed A LOT! The grenade did NOT stop the invasion. The narrator literally explains it in the end. The aliens died because they had no immunity. This is foreshadowed with Dakota’s splinter line. The earth pushed the aliens out. The car was explained at the start with the solenoid being changed. It’s only the lightning storm that shuts the power. The tripods use the blood and spray it to grow the vines. Come on people!… I loved the reaction though
Missing the blood was driving me crazy L O L. Tara was like it’s PG-13 so there’s not that much blood and I’m screaming. There is blood all over the surface outside. They’re literally harvesting humans and spraying their blood like fertilizer
Yeah y’all talked right through it lol, But their car worked because Tom Cruise told the mechanic to try changing out the solenoids when he first passed him. When he encountered him again the mechanic was like you were right. Changing the solenoids did the trick. Solenoids in this case connect the ignition to the engine. Makes the connection so turning the key magically starts the engine.
@@HelTra91agreed, I’m watching less and less reactions from this channel because I can’t handle the reactors constantly trying to out scream each other. It’s too much constantly. It’s a shame, I used to love this channel.
@@marybrown6128really? I never noticed. Now I’m gonna be looking for that lol. I didn’t create this post to hate on the channel. I think any movie lover goes insane when people talk through a movie. But I also understand they have to entertain. So. Idk. Just something I have to get used to.
They literally watched last scene, where there was explained, that aliens were defeated by bacteria and yet still in the review they convinced that the grenade couse this. Like I understand enjoying the movie but that's some next level of not pay any attention to the movie. And I would love if they pause the movies when they have a longer conversation because they missing so much.
@@JohnDAmico-ci2hz No I like when they talking and giving they opinion straight away because I don't want to just watch people sitting in silent watching a movie, where is a fun with that. I just want them to pause it or rewind a little bit if they talking a lot.
thats the problem with kids these days, they don't listen to the exposition, they've already formulated their own idea of what happened and the reality no longer matters.
I really think the brother should've died. He was selfish and totally unprepared to run straight into battle (and then there were huge explosions exactly where he had run over the hill) The brother just being there safe and sound at the end of the movie was just ridiculous. I'd much rather have a more realistic, sadder ending than this forced happy family reunion ending that made no sense. Lesson would be, sometimes people you love make really stupid self destructive choices, and no matter what you try to do to stop them they keep going down that path anyway.
He wanted to fight the enemy of humanity to protect her, why don't ppl get that. Some ppl have more of a warrior spirit and we need ppl with that spirit.
This is such a classic Aliens from Beyond film! Almost every second of this film is not only iconic but holds up 20 years later. Tom Cruise running in every scene is epic.
@creepydoll6023 thats exactly what they're doing. Theyre just watching it, not paying attention at all. Then spend the whole time asking questions about something that was clearly explained and connecting dots that arent there
I don't mind them not paying attention so much, it is a reaction after all, what really bothers me is the complaining something didn't make sense or complaining that the movie didn't explain something, when it did and the only reason they missed it was because they were to busy complaining to pay attention
Hey guys I don’t understand how you guys didn’t catch that the mechanic fix the car due to the main character telling him how to fix the car, or how the grenade didn’t stop the invasion just the one pod itself 😂 or how due to them not understanding that us as human have survive this long with many viruses, diseases and etc. the alien bodies couldn’t survive drinking our blood, water food and etc. they were doom from the start the moment they thought they could live like us 😂.
@@Problematic_ScorpioFrom the air and water. The second they breathed the air, they were doomed. Millions of bacteria that humans developed full immunity to destroyed the aliens in less than 24 hours due to them having no immunity at all. Their systems were overwhelmed with every illness all at once.
Many people have trashed on this movie over the years but (1) I think it's one of Spielberg's most underrated movies as his direction throughout was exceptional, and (2) for me this is one of Tom's best performances as he did an amazing job of being the regular guy adapting to chaos for his kids, really bought into his character from jump...and the whole sequence with him and Tim Robbins should be studied in acting classes as both were outstanding...and really defined Tom's character.
It's really intense when he kills the guy to keep his daughter safe, while Dakota sings the lullaby. That scene really speaks to you if you have a child you love more than anything.
I was never much of a Tom Cruise fan. Not that I didn’t enjoy a lot of his movies, but just always thought he was overrated. THIS is the movie that Tom really impressed me in. I loved this movie and for the first time I didn’t find him kind of annoying. His performance was very real. I think Tom’s acting has really improved in the last 20 years. And Dakota Fanning was also just so good.
Probably one of Spielberg's most underrated films. I know a lot of people complain about the ending being anti-climatic given how much they built up the depressing severity of the situation in order to feel satisfied seeing humanity win in an epic climax, but honestly I actually dont mind the ending and I think the idea of these aliens ultimately falling to something as small yet deadly as human bacteria is kinda hilarious. I really like the designs of the Tripods as they truly made them feel menacing, terrifying and almost unbeatable. The moment you hear that horn you know you're cooked, and you can either try and escape your fate or accept it. I think my favourite scene is probably the car scene where everyone is desperately trying to get into one of the only working cars, willing to beat and kill fellow humans suffering and terrified for their lives, smashing and ripping glass with their bear hands, pulling kids out to save themselves. Truly shows both the worst and the unspoken truth about humanity
I mean the ending made a lot of logical sense. We have gone through millions of years of evolution so it's kinda narcissistic of aliens to think that they can come in and not be affected by something as basic as bacteria. It took us a long time to build our immunity. This is not a take we would expect films like these to take but HG Wells was a genius when he wrote this.
When I read this, that ending was so fantastic. Saved by the things that kill us every year, by the things we ourselves are trying to eradicate. I bet it was even better when people were reading it when first published.
My problem with the ending isn't that microbes killed the aliens. That's exactly what happened when European people came to the Americas. My problem was that if the tripods were buried in the ground, why were they not gathering such information to be ready?
@@JeshuaSquirrelWho knows. Maybe the aliens haven't encountered a world in which bacteria and viruses don't exist. This may be the first time they have ever gotten sick!
I'm gonna say it again. With their constant asking about how these effects and shots were done, especially that huge oner at the beginning, I wish they could watch the corridor crew breakdowns of the visual effects from movies they watch on this channel. It's so much fun and super informative
The screaming everything. Guys. You have mikes on. Anyways, yes that is the actual plane crash set from the movie at Universal Studios. I use to work at the studio lot and walked up there to take pictures on it all the time. Tour buses would drive by and think I was reacting parts of the scene. 😂. The house is there across from the plane as well....well the front of it that is with the turbine.
I’ve noticed this with other videos on the channel and I think it’s bc they have the volume so loud in their headsets. It probably helps their reactions, but yeah, it makes them yell their comments to each other.
This is what I personally call a "Friday Night Movie". When you're done with school and work and ready for the weekend, this is one of those movies I loved watching on a Friday night to start the weekend.
The grenade explosion killed one tripod, The Bacteria is what killed the entire invasion, Morgan Freeman even says it at the end of the film, and the lights at the moms house worked because the EMP hadn’t reached that area yet
You can't really criticize a plot point five times as an inexplicable mystery when the movie explained it at length. The car was running because Tom Cruise -- in the movie -- had a conversation with the neighbor about the minivan not starting and told him that the electrical event had probably fried the selenoid which is a pretty easy part to replace and later the guy had just gotten it fixed when Cruise and family piled into the car. The guy is walking out if the auto place and says Cruise was right about the problem. The army had many hours to replace the damaged part in their vehicles. Some people handy with cars would have done the same, though 99% of cars would not be running.
20:11 That's the car the mechanic was trying to fix earlier when Ray came by and told him how to. So he fixed the car already and was telling Ray he was right about the problem after already fixing the car. That's why it just worked.
I'll never forget seeing this at the cinema. Your reaction was the entire audiences reaction! Such a rollercoaster of a film. I also saw that scene at Universal Studios backlot in LA when I went there. So very cool.
It originally was a radio broadcast back in the day that scared majority of the people listening because they believed it was happening . Research that 😂

The car worked because Ray said to his friend ‘replace the solenoid’ , the aliens died because of the microbes, that’s why the narrator said they were doomed the moment they entered and they eat and drank here
I loved this review but they missed a few things 1. The car worked because Tom Cruise told him to change the catalytic converter or some cylinder which would be damaged by an EMP 2. The grenade didn't stop all of them just that 1 from the inside 3. the water and microbes in the atmosphere destroyed the aliens
Catalytic Converter, dude thats an emissions thing it has nothing to do with the car starting, he told him to replace the Solenoid, most likely this is referencing the Starter Solenoid which is the part that engages the starter to the flywheel to turn the engine over to start the car.
Seeing this film in the theater was amazing. It was so soon after September 11th that it was even more surreal. And the H.G. Wells ending with the smallest microbes, that mankind had become immune to over millennia, killing the invaders is still effective.
I saw this with my mom in theaters when it first came out. When I tell you the sound effects from this movie were LOUDDD! lol such a great film and happy I could experience it
11:03 That scene and everything from the beginning of the film was actually filmed in Newark, New Jersey. My city lol. I was 22 when they were filming and I remember leaving work just a few blocks away from that area to see Tom Cruise film that scene on Ferry Street in the ironbound section of Newark
I could never understand why Ray made Peanut butter sandwiches at hie ex's house when the power was obviously still on and there had to be a whole kitchen fridge and pantry full of food.
I actually did see this movie at the theater. It stands out as one of the better theater experiences I've had. I got the feeling like most of the audience was worn out by the end of it. So many intense scenes.
The woman getting zapped at 15:37 is an easter egg and nod to Jeff Wayne's musical version of War of the Worlds album released in 1978. A woman with the same terrified look is getting zapped on the album cover.
These two remind me of my wife talking during a movie asking me questions at the exact time the characters are answering her question if she would just shut-up and watch the movie.
The comments below are all so good. The M. Freeman epilogue was perfectly stated, and the last half of the move helped explain everything. Not confusing yall...
18:43 that scene gave me goosebumps as a kid the fact that the whole bridge completely fell over with the cars and trucks completely destroying the houses underneath them from just these aliens. Just wow.
When it came to the people saving Tom Cruise from the machine, I wouldn't doubt that instead of having the mentality of let's save this stranger, they got an adrenaline rush to save this man from being killed right in front of his daughter.
H.G. Wells is the father of Science Fiction and many of his novels have been adapted to film. War of The Worlds (1898) is the original Alien Invasion story. No particular main characters of the novel. You just see how many of them deal with this unforseen event. First on audio, the 1938 radio play broadcast on Halloween narrated by Orson Wells threw the audience into a major panic like the invasion was real and it made headline news as an major spectacle. Then on the big screen as an George Pal production with award winning effects in 1953, ahead of it's time in filmmaking followed by a syndicated tv series (1988-1990) that was an continuation from the film and pushed the envelope of Sci-fi/suspense/horror . This 2005 adaption is Spielberg's 3rd Sci-Fi film of the 2000s. The fear and paranoia of a post 9/11 world reacting to an attack from beyond. Cruise's role as not a hero, a father trying to measure up and at least guide his kids through this ordeal does make good storytelling. The cast, the crew, the sets, the effects and every moment till the end shows you why Spielberg is the legend he is. Following his other efforts with Kubrick's final production, Artificial Intelligence (2001) and his first collaboration with Cruise, Minority Report (2002).
The Parent in laws also played in the original War of the World's movie from 1953 the woman's name is Ann B Robinson and the guy I can't remember his name
In regards to some comments, to be fair, the reason why the actual shields started to go down did seem a bit ambiguous. It's explained that bacteria killed the aliens but why would that affect their technology and the shields on the tripods... So to be fair that part to me at least is a bit vague. I understand the bacteria that humans have evolved to survive killing the aliens, but to be fair the shields did only go down after the first tripod got destroyed, so it could look like that was the reason, like it could appear that the destruction of the first tripod was the catalyst for the shields coming down - even if that wasn't the actual reason for the shields coming down. Which like I say remains a little mysterious.
Yes, it's kinda vague why the shields went down. But I'll just "big-brain" why I think it happened. I think the tripods they used to attack us were bio-mechanical. Hinted at when the dying pilot alien opens the hatch and that fluid pours out. And they needed large numbers of human bodies carried in cages to consume as an organic energy source. The Martians themselves seemed too small to need that many humans (tho I think they also consumed us). As the large tripods ingested humans, they got infected by us and a "symptom" of that infection was they loose the shield, then the pilot alien itself can't control it and starts walking it in circles.
I still remember seeing this in theaters opening weekend in my very early teens. It was honestly the most terrifying experience at the time watching people getting vaporized like that. I got so tense hearing the sound the tripods made before attacking. What I wouldn't give to experience that again.
I’m ngl ray staying to see the destruction in the beginning was a smart move. Everyone always says to run but by him staying, he got critical information on what the aliens do that led to the survival of him and his kids
@MrDeandre55, @TaraErickson Juice is a fluid. But, not always the way Tara uses it. Correct me if I'm wrong Tara, but the "Juice" can mean anything really so one must follow contextual markers in the conversation to dercern what , if fact, the "Juice" is in any instance. Tara, uses it as a way to talk about the power of a scene. Maybe what the power comes from, be it the acting or whatever. I.E. "Sandra Bullock always brings the "Juice". She's also used it to denote disgust. (Snarled face, obviously uncomfortable) Watching a horror film, "Oh.....Ya......it's the "Juice". WHich might be combined with one of her other frequently used phrases, "Oh.....Ya......it's the "Juice". I don't want it, I don't want it. EWWWW HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA." (Haha is actually what she's saying not used here as laughter.) I'll offer one more example. The "Juice", is often sex or sexual in nature. I.E. "Oh, yaaaaaaa...LOL, he's about to bring the Juiiii....HEY OHHHHHHHHHHH." She didn't finish the word in this case, but you get the point. This word, along with I don't want it, although I'm not sure who started that one, are becoming frequent go to's for the entire Reel Reject Gang. Other merch ideas, TV in center frame of Tshirt, you can the back to of the TV from our POV. Just above, we see Tara, cartoon version, big eyes, looks like she's about to watch something "Juice worthy." Then above her head you put the phrase, "The Juice Is Loose." Another idea is maybe instead of a book of definitions for Juice, in which you'd need someone to go through and write a proper book like the analysis I just did or similar. It might be cool to just put a pic of an old Hogwarts book up and on the cover you put in cool font, Juice: The Many Definitions by Tara Erickson.
I love how Tara says that Justin Chatwin is an “amazing actor” and then Praper edits in a picture of him as Goku, which he literally apologized for when Akira Toriyama passed away. 😂😂😂 (yes, I know it wasn’t the actors fault for the movie being bad.)
I assumed they put them there before there was a huge population, so they waited until there was a big enough population for them to consume and make the planet habitable to them.
they where using the Humans Blood to terraform the planet, so they needed humans to reach a sort of "critical mass" in population size so they would have enough blood to complete the terraforming.
And why didn't any humans ever find a single alien ship? With all the tunneling, excavating, archaeological digging, and deep ground surveying we've done as a species throughout human history, no one ever stumbled upon one?
My friends and I saw this when it came out at a midnight screening. No joke, we walked outside afterwards and it was nothing but fog. Dense, thick fog. Few cars in the parking lot. No cars driving by on the road at all. And a little bit of amber illuminating the dense foggy sky in the background. It was so eerie.
This movie, along with Munich, is Spielberg's tribute to 9/11. Robbie's behavior is reflective of how a lot of us felt after the attacks. He was angry, he wanted to fight back, and he wanted to help in any way he could.

Okay, so this is theory only (because I know there are other cars in the movie that were manufactured after this date), but computers weren't in cars until 1968. The car that he drives off in at the beginning of the film is a 1966 Shelby GT 350 H. This means it came out without a computer system, it's all analog. I THINK what happens that knocks out the power in the opening is an electromagnetic pulse, which would short circuit electrical systems (computers, radio, satellite, etc).
You thought way to much into it lol but good theory. Per Rays suggestion to Manny before all the Aline’s show up Ray tells him to change the solenoid in the car, Manny does this. He was saying he changed the solenoid when Ray and fam showed up to get the car. “In the automotive sector solenoids are used for a range of applications, from starting the engine to shifting the transmission.”
The one thing about this movie that I couldn't stand was her screaming. It was deafening in the movie theater and made me want to give her to the Martians.
I really like the bit after Ray has to kill Tim Robbins' character when Rachel just sits with him and comforts him as he comes to terms with what he's just had to do. Neither of them says anything, and there's no music, just ambience. It's a really tender but also traumatic father-daughter moment.

This is one of those films that I can watch again and again and not get bored. With how saturated the alien invasion genre is, this is one of those gems that stands the test of time.
Funny you should say that. I remember back in 2020 hearing some goofy midnight caller on George Noory's Coast to Coast AM radio show; That covid was made and released on purpose to immunize us and try to protect us from the future alien invasion that the UN knows is coming. Any people that caught and died of Covid were simply collateral deaths until the virus could be adjusted and perfected.
Symbolically the film opens on a droplet of water on a leaf… while discussing bacteria. Then, the film bookends with the explanation of how we have evolved and survived bacteria and sickness… earning our place on the earth and the aliens came in naivety… not planning on being bested by the smallest of organisms on the planet

At least Robbie didn’t have to write that paper. “If only aliens could invade this weekend.”
He can write a paper about the alien occupation of earth instead.
I'm glad they stayed true to the book ending and didn't change it to something more Hollywood. This, to me, was a lot more logical.

Tom told Manny to try changing the starter solenoid on the van.. and it worked, that's how the van starts.
No lie, if yall watched more than talked you probably would’ve understood the movie 😂 Greg and John should’ve reacted to this movie honestly 💯
I'll never forget seeing this at the cinema. Your reaction was the entire audiences reaction! Such a rollercoaster of a film. I also saw that scene at Universal Studios backlot in LA when I went there. So very cool.
I don’t understand why this movie is forgotten all the time. This is truly one of the best sci fi films of that time. It is just so f*cking good!

The car worked because Ray said to his friend ‘replace the solenoid’ , the aliens died because of the microbes, that’s why the narrator said they were doomed the moment they entered and they eat and drank here
This girl be screaming more then Dakota oh my lord
I loved this review but they missed a few things
1. The car worked because Tom Cruise told him to change the catalytic converter or some cylinder which would be damaged by an EMP
2. The grenade didn't stop all of them just that 1 from the inside
3. the water and microbes in the atmosphere destroyed the aliens
The noise the ships make is ripped straight out of the original HG Wells book.
The ships are called Tripods, for obvious reasons 😊
I saw this with my mom in theaters when it first came out. When I tell you the sound effects from this movie were LOUDDD! lol such a great film and happy I could experience it

I was 22 when they were filming and I remember leaving work just a few blocks away from that area to see Tom Cruise film that scene on Ferry Street in the ironbound section of Newark
They explained the car and the aliens hadn’t gone to the mom’s neighborhood yet so their power still worked but phone lines are a broader system.
The easiest explanation for the cars on the ferry is that they were nowhere near lightning strikes when everything went down.
You need to check out the radio play of this story. It caused mass panic as people thought it was really happening.
One of my Top-5 favorite Spielberg films ever.
The Parent in laws also played in the original War of the World's movie from 1953 the woman's name is Ann B Robinson and the guy I can't remember his name
Aaron’s scream was like something out of Scooby-Doo! 😂
The tripod horn made ppl dang near pi$$ themselves in my theatre. Scared the hell outta me, too!
I love this film so much. Spielberg gave us an invasion movie. Close encounters and ET were fun, but what if Aliens just came to kill us all?
I’m ngl ray staying to see the destruction in the beginning was a smart move. Everyone always says to run but by him staying, he got critical information on what the aliens do that led to the survival of him and his kids
Just a suggestion for the Reel Rejects store. A book called Juice: The Many Definitions by Tara Erickson
The juice is fluid, it can mean anything 🤣
😂😂😂 I love this
@MrDeandre55,
@TaraErickson
Juice is a fluid.
Just above, we see Tara, cartoon version, big eyes, looks like she's about to watch something "Juice worthy." Then above her head you put the phrase, "The Juice Is Loose."
Another idea is maybe instead of a book of definitions for Juice, in which you'd need someone to go through and write a proper book like the analysis I just did or similar.
Dakota Fanning, was such a brilliant young actress. I have always been a fan of her. ❤
I still never understood as to why the aliens buried them into the ground centuries prior but just didn't invade at that time
Now THAT is the question everyone should be asking!
I assumed they put them there before there was a huge population, so they waited until there was a big enough population for them to consume and make the planet habitable to them.
Maybe it was an escape/evacuation backup plan.
they where using the Humans Blood to terraform the planet, so they needed humans to reach a sort of "critical mass" in population size so they would have enough blood to complete the terraforming.
And why didn't any humans ever find a single alien ship? With all the tunneling, excavating, archaeological digging, and deep ground surveying we've done as a species throughout human history, no one ever stumbled upon one?
Glad you guys like this movie, im obsessed with it. Grew up with it, its a masterpiece. Underrated af

And their predictions are terrible 😂
This is Spielbergs worst movie. I understand you like it but if you are gonna be negative just move on
@@coltenparks9642 it's not even remotely his worst, and if you can't accept valid criticism, than you can move on. And if you hate the movie so much, why are you here?
glad I saw your comment, I was already getting irritated when they missed the whole car repair explanation, going to skip the rest of this one
Tara spotting out that Tom Cruises mustang gt just stole my heart lol great reaction, guys.
Yeah, same here.
Love you❤❤❤❤ back!!! Thanks for not hating on me being loud like everyone else😂
Oh! Please! Watch Invisible with the actor that does the son, he is very good in it.
I loved this reaction!!! I haven’t watched this movie since I was a kid and I missed a lot of the big points people are pointing out and didn’t even realize it until now. I’m sorry people are being harsh on you guys. You guys are doing great and I always appreciate the excited reactions, after all, we are here for the reactions.
I'm laughing so much with the reaction lmao. I'd literally pay for anyone that hasn't seen it to react to Cloverfield
You really don't see it weird that you would pay someone to watch something you have already seen and had to pay to see yourself? Did someone pay you to watch it? 😅
I’m glad you guys liked it. I feel like this movie gets a bad rap, but I love it.
This is one of those films that I can watch again and again and not get bored. With how saturated the alien invasion genre is, this is one of those gems that stands the test of time.
You guys are gonna have to get the detective goggles on going forward lmaooo missing obvious details like the ending is wildddd
The aliens basically got covid and died☺️
Pretty much. 😆
Yo these movie picks have been awesome! This movie is so unberable underrated, keep up the great work! I look forward to watching this after work!
🎉🎉🎉
Everytime I re-watch this movie I'm even more impressed with the effects especially considering the timeframe it was made.
I'm not gonna lie, her screaming the whole video was insufferable. I had to mute it so many times
Sorry I get excited yall! This movie was fun! Just being me.
This is actually my favorite movie ever, watched him so many times !
40:18 Dude, this is one of the most realistic-looking battle scenes. It’s crazy.
They explained a lot of the stuff through news broadcasts early in the movie. Also his first interaction with the mechanic explained why the van worked
@taraerickson and @therealaaronalexander They literally explained and showed EVERYTHING you are saying they didn't. It was Clear and apparent, but you missed it. Sorry I love you guys, but you seriously missed EVERY SINGLE answer you had an issue with in this one. Read the comments below, I won't "RE-EXPLAIN" it because there are a LOT of comments SCREAMING that you both missed every point you had against this movie and explaining it all for you. *LOL* It's all good, you can't catch everything I suppose. Cheers! Love ya!
We literally HAVE to talk during reactions otherwise we are just playing footage of a movie which will get taken down. We are watching it for the first time having to balance this being a watch along/ commentary while also being engrossed in what’s happening on screen then immediately have to talk about it and have a fully formed opinion seconds after the movie is over. It’s a balancing act that isn’t as easy as it looks. I appreciate the engagement and letting us know what we missed. We ultimately really enjoyed the movie tho
We missed it! It’s our bad! ❤
@@TaraErickson It's all good! You're fine! Love ya lots!😄😄
@@TheReelAaronAlexander I hear you, fam! Love the reactions, super entertaining [I also run a reaction channel, so I feel the struggle. *LOL*] No worries 😆! It was just funny that each issue you had with the movie was exactly the opposite of what you were saying. But again, it's tough catching it all on first go.
Watched this at the cinema, when I had very little children at home, I usually love sci fi, but honestly at the time this was terrifying to me, because I was just thinking about my then babies.
Spielberg casually banging out 3 great sci-fi films in as many years in the early noughts! War of the worlds, Minority Report & A.I!
These movies are not universally thought of as great but I get your point
@@Xfactor444-x4n Lol your right They're very good but not Great, better than whatever was out at the time and everybody moaning Spielberg using a different type of film for those movies aswell
