My real name is Tyrone, But I go by TYR, pronounced /tier/ and if you know anything about where that word comes from, then that's a dead give away that I am a bit of a Norse/Nordic fanatic, I'm absolutely infatuated by the history and culture of the Nordic mythology and people, so expect a lot of Viking themes on this channel! I grew up playing many games, but none captivated me the same way the Fallout series did, since I play the games so much I figured why not start recording myself playing? and here we are today.

i can hear the skyrim ambience silently in the back ground
they need to let us do 2 things: swap out the "Exit door" on most of the shelters (Atrium,Utility,living area,Server room TBR) for a variant that connects to a door that we can place down. allowing us to connect the Shelters together without all the jank. and secondly allow us to set our camp spawn location to inside the shelter, so people don't have to go through 2 loading screens just to visit the market.
I used mine to make a massive underground haunted maze for people to visit with the overseer's room as the finish and a underground home for me. Close to the end a carnaval were you can take a moment and chill and the entire utility room is full of a scary rooms to be like a very dark intro for the rest of the maze because it's very dim. I used the entire atrium to make scary rooms with multiple floors and even some jump scares despite not being in there. It's pretty hard to navigate if you don't know how. I think I did a really good job.
I have been trying to figure out where and how to build my vault for days... This video gave me the answer I was looking for. Thank you!

Going to change the entrance for the utility vault in to the concrete as well. Nice way to place it. Already had done the other doors the same way.

That said, I would've loved if Bethesda had done something similar to the fallout 4 vault with more flexibility in layouts etc.

Thx TYR that gives me a better idea of how I’ll set my camp up. I really wanted to to move all my water & crops indoors but that’s not working out so good & not sure if I like the floating feature they added. I wish they would allow console players into this PTS so we can have a say to, I don’t think I would have voted for the floating feature after spending hrs building to hop on this morning to find everything floating. The best way I found was to put objects down first then move them to where you want. GG’s

Great video. Sorry, noob question here! If you build in the vault and lay down benches and furniture etc. Is it able to be made into a single blue print? I.e you stand outside, blue print it and then move it all to another location?

I couldnt get the roofs to snap together on the vault floor, but i just purchased the vault and claimed, so going to have a blast building some things in those! Hope everyone has fun with these latest editions

The first shelter entrance, reminded me of something outta star wars tho.
I found out if u get it right the lobby doors will clip a bit into the exit doors forcing you to go to the lobby before you exit. So I have all the exit doors this way and each wing can lead to other shelters. I also have a overgrown nature room in that sunny lobby front room and the doors blocked off so you can only look into, frogs birds and hidden cycling lights are also stuffed in there so it looks like a full fledged nature room overgrown with flora and fauna, I just want more stuff to put in there tho, I’d love to have actual creatures in there :/
I am not sure if anyone here every played Everquest 2 with it's instanced housing very much on the same model as this now in FO76 (but more advanced and developed ofc). Anyhow, yep placing connecting doors in various instanced maps is very familiar :)
ok i haven't tried it but if you have and camp and place a volt entrance on it would it bring to a fresh volt that needs to be set up or will it take you to the volt you already have set up on camp 1 ?

dude, they will be selling these a lot now I think... expect to see caves, open landscapes, and even instances from quests sold as instanced housing eventually.
I actually made the same sort of shelter but then scrapped it when I realised as you get close you float up the front lol
I'm just glad they are allowing us to use all 3 spaces like on the PTS. I had a fear that it was going to be one Shelter entrance per camp and they only allowed us to do it on PTS so we could build in all 3 shelters without hindrance.

I like to start off with the utility room just because I figured out I can hide the entrance underwater. I found a pond with some crap floating around in it and now you can't even see the entrance.
I took my utility room and trans and I actually put it in the lobby and it looks really good I have a red arrow pointing down but my big problem is nobody goes and checks out the other shelters! From the lobby when you go up to the secondary room I have a big white door in there to the entrance of the quarters and nobody goes in there I'm not sure if they think it's an exit door or what but no one ever checks it out. The same goes with the utility entrance I have it on the floor lights all around it but they check out the lobby and then they just leave. 😭 I actually had to tell them to follow me so I could show them. It's just frustrating because we spend so much time on our shelters and no one ever sees them. I'm going to try putting the signs above them that say atrium etc to see if that helps but if flashing lights and red arrows don't help I don't know what's going to work 😂😕 I'm on Xbox if anyone wants to come and see my shelters! Yes I'm begging. Also they need to upgrade the budget because I had to block off three rooms of the quarter shelter just to be able to fill it up. The budget for the bigger shelter should be different what's the point in having five rooms or so when you can't even put anything in them? 🤨
I haven't tried this in the live game, but in the PTS, I basically covered the "Exit to Appalachia" door with a door to the corresponding Shelter. Does that still work?
I'm a little bit confused this is not one instanced shelter but all three made to connect together when correctly manipulated? If so do you get a budget for all 3? Or do you get the a single budget across the board? I'm getting the feeling Bethesda is looking for people to be able to build essentially Vault sized spaces and this is a test bed.

Lmao. Glad someone else figured out the hatch trick. Also. You can place a lobby door over the "exit" from the utility.

Almost have the shelters looking decent. Doing a "Sponsored" shelter.
Now if only they would work out the missing camp items.
All that said. I find the lobby emersion breaking. For examples. The lobby vault door(inside) compared to the vault door(outside) and the lobby "sky light"
I tried that because I didn't want people exiting without seeing my full shelters but when I tested it out I actually got stuck in between the doors so I don't know how that works.
Thank you. How would an incompetent player like me play this game without youtube? First, I didn't realize there was an option to use the smaller door for the atrium and I wasn't able to place the monster entrance anywhere in my camp. So the atrium just became something for another day. Now, all in one video, many great ideas to play with the shelters.

I did something like this and created a very large and mysterious enclave vault.
I'm still hoping for a door for the utility shelter...
I hate having to use the hatch inside.
I made a build in the utility room and then we got the other shelters. If i put another entrance to it in the lobby room like you did and delete the original entrance to the utility room will i lose the build i made in the utility room?
Make the entrance to the lobby first and then place the utility entrance in the concrete like I did in this video first and then delete the other outside utility entrance last just to be safe, it should stay

You can store the door and replace it and everything will still be there. Was confirmed by bethesda and i can confirm myself it works like this. I stored my utility room and placed it again with no issues

I can't get the vault lobby, I've reloaded the game a few times and it's not even showing up for me. Only the utility one we get and the giant atrium one not lobby. Any help?

The new Shelterts would be a whole lot better and useful if we could put displays up to show our collectibles, weapons etc. Kind of pointless right now.
Hang on, wasn’t there a bundle with all the catwalk, vault lights, signs, etc, that are now separate? Rats, didn’t get it when I saw it. Was it a decent savings over individual items? Am I imagining I even saw it??
Taken down shortly after. Bethesda broke the atom shop, (remember the bundles being pro rated if you had certain items from it) it didn’t work. But it was there your not imagining it.
Just as a idea, cover up the doors that take you to the Appalachia with the other door options.
I tried that because I found people were just coming into the one shelter looking at it and then turning around and leaving and not going to see my other shelters. So I covered up the exit door with another vault door and I got stuck in between the doors when I used them to test it out. 😂 Might have to cover up the exit door entirely with a wall or something so they actually have to go through the whole shelter setup to exit or just go through the map to get out of there. 🤔
How do you change the doors location mine just goes straight to the Atrium there is no lobby option for me 🤔 and I already have it from the shop
.... you can only get the lobby from fallout 1st , once you have it you will be able to place that as an option

Best to attach vault doors to structures already in game so they can’t be destroyed.
Just now watching this. I really wish bethesda would put more work into shelters and allow us to have allies, displays, and such. It's tricky placing walls and things in shelters.. any chance of a tips and tricks video on that?
I wish we could have allies in the shelters as well. I wish we could put as many allies as we wanted in our camp or shelters. It's a lonely world out there! Lol
So I buy the atrium for $20....where is the vault entrance located? Plans or atom store?

By placing and ATRIUM door inside the VAULT LOBBY you enter into a very large VAULT that is not available yet

Id rather have an elevator that leads to a shelter. The door with nothing behind it and I'm assuming the extra large one is the same, just feels odd. I imagine with just the door I have a portal to my shelter but after a few plays it starts to mess with my head. Especially 🤔 when I'm role-playing.

That’s a bad idea cause if your camp is nuked or the foundation get destroyed your vault door will also be destroyed
foundations can’t get destroyed and the door will get destroyed no matter where you put it if you get nuked

I just paid 31 dollars for my brotherhood of steel castle and shelter and i can't use them because its go over budgets. Ridiculous. Even paying for it the budget is to low
The building vault drops frame rates really bad when trying to place it. PLUS it uses a lot of budget!
Try using the bos tower. Frame rate is trashed if you move it... how tf that got past testing.. o wait nm they don’t test anything...

If you enter a vault, usually the start is a giant vault door. Does that not make sense to be the first point of entry? Lmfao
