Dude! This was a super review! I saw one on the road just yesterday, had no clue they even existed, and your video got me up to speed! Great cuts, great camera setup, great commentary, great music balance!
Thank you, hgodtx! We truly appreciate it. Hopefully, you'll check out some of our other stuff, too. 😁 There's plenty more where this came from. Thanks for watching!
Yeah. On the surface, this truck looks the same as those before it, but this gen has some updates that make it a legitimate consideration for an upgrade.
Large and in charge. The interior even looks sufficiently nice even in black on black. So much better than the Silverado interior, amazing. My one issue, so expensive even without the bigger 6.2 engine. Still people are buying these like crazy. In Atlanta area you can't touch these out the door for less than 60k for LT. That is if you can even get your hands on one, they sell them off the truck. Still the best in category, nothing else even close.
Yeah, it's nuts the prices these trucks command, especially in places like Atlanta where EVERYONE drives one, Paul M. And this RST trim is one of the more "affordable" trims, yet is still pricey. They're great trucks, though, if that's what you truly need. Thanks for watching!
Agree, not only did they improve packaging with the independent rear suspension, they also raised the roof by several inches. These things look massive out there on the road. I wish the bottom of the rear where the bumper is could have been a little lower, hiding some of the suspension bits, they look a little too exposed IMHO.
It’s nice to see a brand new SUV that still has an analog dashboard and controls. Seems like every manufacturer is in some damn rush to put everything on touch/digital screens now, so it’s good at least someone is sticking with what works.
Funny how these analog gauges now provide the different look when compared to other dashes, XMattingly (even if they're digital underneath it all 😅). Chevy's figured out how to make things look fresh while keeping the familiarity. Thanks for watching!
@@AutoAcademics Totally true. It had been rumored that the 2021 Grand Cherokee was going to eliminate all physical infotainment/console controls; thankfully that’s not the case. I hope you’ll be able to review one of those - either the L or 2 row when it comes out, sometime in the future! 😎👍
Bought my 1st used Tahoe 23 years ago when it was TOTY. Still have her, looks like I could park her inside the RST, just by dropping both rows. Surprised you didn't mention the new IRS. Just shopped one, $1100 per month, nope.
We believe you can get the panoramic roof on higher trim levels, Silver Surfer. This RST left a few if those details out to keep the price a little more reasonable and we admit it was a welcome change from the fully loaded vehicles that are usually sent for review. Thanks for watching!
We just bought the duramax diesel rst and we have the panoramic roof and power sliding center console. Weird packages that all cost an arm and a leg to go higher than the usury package but at the same time we love the hell out of ours. Mpg is seriously awesome.
I have a 2021 RST and I have a panoramic sunroof and my center front console can move backwards by pushing a button so I have way more space up front or the ppl in back get extra cup holders
Many if these trucks can get out of hand with their pricing, but this one is configured a little more reasonably than the top trims, yet doesn't omit features that you want. Thanks for watching!
It's so HUGE! Are the Suburbans bigger than this? Or is the Tahoe bigger than a Suburban? I like the red color and the gear shift on the side. It's interesting to see the new designs for gear shifts these days.
Now that everything is electronic, as opposed to being actuated by levers and cables, they can change the interior dramatically if they choose, Evette Collins. They try to do it incrementally, though, so that functionality and safety are still present without scaring or confusing the buyer. 😅 Consumers are finally getting used to the pushbutton gear selector so we're seeing it more and more. Oh, and the Suburban is even BIGGER with more cargo room behind the 3rd row. Thanks for watching!
We think that's only a feature on upper GM vehicles, such as the Corvette and some Cadillacs, Apollo MusicEnterprise. But feel free to let us know if you find out for sure. Either way, enjoy your truck and thanks for watching!
It would depend on the purpose it's used for, Drew Yager. I personally like the size of the X5 better, as I don't need a large truck like this. But the maintenance (repair?) cost of this would be WAY lower, making cost if ownership much easier to live with. Thanks for watching!
The entry to the third row is awful. I don't understand why they don't have the seat tilt option that the Buick enclaves have. That would be a game changer for moms.
I do like the RST and Z71 grille. I have Premier but looking for a way to tone down some of the Chrome….especially front grille and mirror caps. Blacked out accents like the exterior lettering are a nice touch. Longer length and transmission shifter are a bit of a learning curve but pretty manageable. The transmission selector shouldn’t be as much as you might think…… With the column shifter of the last 25 years of the Tahoe and going back even to around mid 70’s or even earlier. The Automatic transmission sector had to be pulled towards you for reverse and drive. Same thing here just a bulky lever removed. Push when selected to Park….again same concept just electronically controlled selector not manual levers. Like it or not electronically controlled shifters are coming more and more mainstream….even today’s floor mounted shift levers are electronic controllers. I personally like the button type operation over rotary and the dashboard mounting location frees up center console space for important things…..like cup holders and storage compartments. Another benefit of the new shifter on the instrument panel is less risk of damage to the shifter by take a pick of scenarios….most obvious one is liquid spills and shorting out, but could be accidental activation of unintended gear position. Lincoln’s have had push button shifters for approximately 10 years at least so not entirely new technology. Overall hit out of the park for 2021.
Great Video 👍🏽 I like this Tahoe... But, I keep repeating myself..."Too big for Europa" as a personal vehicle BTW Could be a nice Taxi, but that V8 is going to help
This Tahoe is almost too big for the U.S.! Actually, it is if you live in one of the major urban areas. 😂 We live in a suburban/rural area and still didn't like parking it in some places. Thanks for watching, FrankypankyV8!
MISSING DUAL EXHAUST MISSING FOG LIGHTS NO 6.2L Option NO STANDARD BREMBO BRAKES !!!! WTF 2021 Tahoe PPV has Standard 6 Piston Brembo Brakes !!!!!!!!!!
Well, with the Active Fuel Management system, we can't say it drinks more gas than it used too, German Shepard. Although, it does drink more than the typical crossover. It also tows more, too, so it's good at what it does as long as you're buying it for what it's good at -- which is being a truck. 😅 Otherwise, a large crossover makes more sense. Thanks for watching!
Nope. This one is spec'd out fairly well, Cuban Sammiches. You get just enough goodies while keeping the price somewhat under control. Thanks for watching!
355-hp is plenty, Cuban Sammiches. Plus, GM has to save some horsepower room for the Denali. But that'll get you back up to that 90 grand (or close to it). 😜
Just got a 2024 Tahoe rst love it
Nice

Once rented a Tahoe. LOVED IT. Beautiful vehicle, although it takes up the entire road and maybe the sidewalk too!
Ha! Sure does, Herman Wooster. Thanks for watching!
Luv it lol
Great Review Chris. Glad to see that GM has finally updated the interior and gave it more 3rd row passenger and cargo room.
Yeah, those changes are huge, canonlybeme4life. (pun intended 😜) Thanks for watching!
Had the Z71 this past week, and I loved it. I'm thinking our 2012 Suburban will be giving way to one of these sometime this year. Great review!

Kool review anyone else notice how slow them gauges swept upon start up
Thanks for watching, Jthegemini 86!
Just bought one yesterday (used) in shadow great…. Why didn’t mine have screens in the back seats?
wow, at the :06 mark, you look so small in relation to the Tahoe that it appear you were 'photoshopped' into the image ! It is THAT huge !
EXACTLY! 🤣 The truck barely fit in my garage. Thanks for watching, hawaiiguy1!

Amazing review my brother! Thank you. I’m sold!!! Exact specs minus the exterior color. 💪🏽
Thank you, BossHogg23. Your comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks for watching!
Brilliant review as usual and a beautiful vehicle. You look tiny next to it!
Thank you, Christopher Hallinan. That truck was rather large. 😂 Thanks for watching!
Can’t wait for mine to come in!

Wish I had this truck. Thanks Chris!
You will get it let this truck be your motivation😊.

Well Chris I love this Tahoe and I think they did a good job except for this one not having the dual exhaust, very nice review brother!!!!!
Yeah, apparently the higher trims get the dual exhaust outlets, RobQc. Oh, well. Guess you gotta pay to play. LOL Thanks for watching!
Nice review. I want one. Thanks !
If you need a big SUV, this is one to consider, Peter Tamburro. Thanks for watching!
My lease expires on my Chevy Silverado in March. I’ll give this one a test drive as I don’t have a need for the pickup bed
I rented this spaceship this past week. I truly loved it. The only thing I did not like was spending so much money at the pump
Yeah, it's a lot of truck, IMDOC78, and you have to pay to play. LOL As long as you're prepared for it, it's not too bad, though. Thanks for watching!
Great video, thanks for the informative details. I am pleasantly surprised with the price of this one example

looks good, needs an optional removable cooler that fits flush between rear seats when all are folded down to fill that big hole and a supercharger!

How do you accomplish a Rockford files J turn with that contraption?
