What do you think of the new 2021 Tahoe?!? I can't wait to get one for a week - then I'll get a night video, 5 likes/dislikes, and more. Let me know what you think! *Thanks for watching and have a great day!*
Prime Autotainment Here are my thoughts: Yes it looks updated inside and out in my opinion. However, its taken chevy some considerable time to moderize this vehicle. So have they done enough with regard to the interior touch points/smoothness of the trans/inside & outside tech against todays competition is what I'm curious to know.
Aubrey great points. I feel like they addressed a few of the bit concerning points like ride comfort, 3rd row and cargo space..a bigger screen but I don’t think they went above and beyond like they could have, especially for the price. Probably because They didn’t want to step on cadillacs toes. I guess we will see how the next couple of years goes! Thanks for watching my friend!
The base model is $60k and the 6.2 V8 is almost $75K; the car makers are on crack and taking advantage of people because they know almost everyone is bad with money and are 100% willing to take loans. Our grandparents used to be able to pay cash for cars, no loans needed.
I understand your point...with that said I have 5 sold orders in-transit to my dealership. Cheapest one is $67,000. No one is holding a gun to their head to buy one. They can't wait to take delivery. 3 of the 5 deals are business owners & they are writing a check. No lien.
@@eastside313yahdig.2 GM, Ford Chrysler and other car makers from all parts of the world directly employ tens of thousands of Americans. If someone wants to get themselves in debt, that's their problem and their own conscious choice. Don't blame the automakers. We bought the 2021 Tahoe High Country 4x2 just four months ago. We are soooo pleased with it! We love all the MANY features and comfort touches. I generally average about 19.1 mpg on mixed driving. On long trips (250 miles) over the Interstate, it gives me a very nice 21 or 22 mpg. I was disappointed at first that the automatic running boards were not available, even as a dealer-added option (no parts for them) but it turns out the stationary running boards were just fine for us. For some reason, the foot-operated badge-on-the-ground is inconsistent, choosing to light up sometimes and sometimes not. We just downsized from a fifth wheel trailer to a considerably smaller tow-behind 4300 pound trailer because of a change in what we are doing for travel. I am happy to see that other reviewers have loved the trailering capabilities. We plan to find out soon how we like the combination soon. Looks amazing on the exterior but man... for over $80k I’d expect that interior to have more of the luxury feel a Range or Mercedes would have. It looks really good, but if I’m paying that much I’d expect it to look and feel pretty luxurious
Hey man great review! I've seen a couple of these new Tahoe's around DFW. They really look great in my opinion. And now that I've seen the interior & features I think Chevy has knocked it outta the park! Oh & the sound of the 6.2 v8 is music to my ears. I think they have a winner!
Great video. Good patience in explaining all features and be our eyes and hands, explaining how things feel, quite well done. 7:40 I appreciate you saying head-up display as opposed to heads-up display.
At 27:15 you can see the sign on the side of the road, 55 MPH. Why does the center console say 35 MPH is the posted speed limit right after? GM still doesn't try to read speed limit signs do they? Speeds must be loaded into a map that the vehicle uses.
I have two tahoes of 18 models. I have been driving 200,000 kilometers. The gearbox started to have problems. It showed that the temperature was too high and could not be put into gear. If the air conditioner was used, the engine would turn off. Why?
I think the push button shifter design is strange. Push for park pull tab for reverse and drive? Plus its at a side angle so you have to tilt your hand to actually pull the tab for reverse and drive. Im sure it'd become second nature in no time though! This is definitely a step into the modern interiors for the new gen tahoe and yukon!
*QUESTION:* Handling. How much better is the handling from the older Tahoe iterations in terms of body lean? I owned a 2018 Tahoe and the body lean/handling was terrible while driving around a round-about.
I have limited time cornering in older Tahoes but this definitely felt more stable than the older one. This also had magnetic ride control which probably limited body lean...there’s definitely still some lean...but hard to compare to last gen
Does the lower models come with a different shifter? I driven some gmc with the button and it doesn't fell right to shift like that. I know that it all computer control nowadays.
Just took a look at the 2021 Tahoe this last Saturday. I’ve got a 2018 and of course they wanted to show me the new one. I like it, but if they can get me this one I’m sold. Nice review.
Prime Autotainment They had a Big Country in the showroom. Then brought me out an LT that was dark metallic blue. Stock is limited so that’s all they had. This will be my third Tahoe. I had a 2015 and now my 2018 both fully loaded LT’s. Both black with black interior. Its got a little more chrome than I care for but not a deal breaker. It’s noticeable bigger, and roomier. I got in but didn’t test drive. The body is very different so I really didn’t know if I liked it until I found your video. You’ve changed my mind!
Prime Autotainment UPDATE! I just purchased a 2021 Tahoe with the Z71 Trim package. It’s black with jet black interior. Thanks again for your video, it definitely influenced me to go back to my dealer.
83K and no fog lights...yikes. Still on the fence with the new body (coming from a 2018 Z71 owner). It will probably grow on me. I definitely do not like the new tailgate.

Excellent review. The placement of that chrome strip over the license plate seems really weird 3:20. Doesn't it seem like that chrome strip should move down and the "TAHOE" name should be above the chrome strip? Looks way off to my eyes. Overall, I think it's a huge improvement over the current version with those "eyelash" headlights.

I love my Suburban Premier Rst one yr older, I don't like the body styles of the newer ones....still have the 6.2 V8 and 10 SPD transmission and magnetic ride control and I get avg 23 mpg(what my vehicle is showing now)sometimes I get more....besides the full roof of glass on the new ones, 2019-2020 are better...just my opinion P.s. did I mention my screen raises up and have a space for USB port and storage that is lockable? Which you lose with 2021 models and my 22" rims? A lot more car for 80k$ than newer models....
Maybe I'm crazy but I think it's crazy vehicles can cost almost as much as a freaking house. Not a bad vehicle but I personally rather get a 2020 z71 colorado truck for the price. The more tech they throw in these vehicles the more that can or will go wrong with it.
I don’t know if I love it because of the front grille that makes it look less like a mom car, or hate it because of its rear that makes it look like a Ssangyong
The Chevy Tahoe was my dream car from the first time i saw in 2010 ..... still my dream car. Too bad I not have that money to get one. But actually I enjoy watching this videos. :-)
Ilya Kovalchuk The standard equipment list has increased a lot. The 21 LS has more standard features than a loaded LT from the 90s. The price hasn’t gone up that much. Wages have tripled since the 90s.
+Brian I think you’re incorrect. Productivity has leaped over the past several decades but compensation is relatively stagnant in comparison. www.epi.org/productivity-pay-gap/
edawg792 It depends on the profession. Wages are up significantly in high demand fields. The S&P is up 6 times since the mid 90s. If you work an unskilled job of course your wage isn’t going to keep up. The Tahoe is marketed to the affluent and upper classes. The Tahoe is very affordable for people at the top. For an individual in the top 20% by net worth a Tahoe is much less expensive today than in the mid 90s. The middle class should not be buying new full size SUVs in my opinion. There are plenty of good vehicles that are more affordable. A base front drive Traverse starts at 30k. A base Trailblazer starts at 20k. If everyone in the US drove a full size SUV it would not be good.
Thanks for such a thorough review. This and Edmunds 2021 Escalade preproduction review are two of the most detailed that I have watched. I am one of the few that didn't mind the column shifter and find the dash gear changer to be unusual. How does that feel? Can it be hard to use without looking since most shifters select gears all on one pivot (column shifter, center console gear lever). Can't wait to see your review on the 2021 Yukon/Escalade as well as your review on the 3L diesel. 3.0 D paired with the 10 speed will be a awesome pairing
Thank you for the kind words! Although I didn’t get to spend very much time with it...it seemed to be in a good spot with differentiating characteristics of each button so it was still convenient. I’m sure if I spend more time with it, I wouldn’t have to pay any attention to it at all. I still prefer a real shifter though. I can’t wait either, thanks for watching!
I think it’s for 10k subs and up. When you go to the “create” button when you upload a video..it’ll show up there. Keep checking in case they start to allow it. Keep up the good work! 👍
Exactly!!! 15-20 model are gorgeous!!! I just got a 20 from the dealer 3 months ago , I didn’t wanna wait for the 21 since I’ve seen the model online and they look like a pick up truck
Am a chevy guy but this interior could have been better. GM had time to come up with something on par or close to Ram or Lincoln. Their interiors design and materials are just phenomenal and they have set the standard unfortunately. Can i get the chevy exterior with a Lincoln interior ?
Hey, solid review. Appreciate how thorough it was. Subb'd. Really considering purchasing a Suburban Z71 by the end of the year. My only question, the controls you mentioned that are on the back of the steering wheel, are they volume up/down and next/back track controls? A Ford I had a few years ago had those controls on the steering wheel, my current truck doesn't. I miss those controls! I put my music on shuffle a decent amount of the time and next track controls are a huge deal to me lol.
Thank you very much! Yep that’s correct, it’s always good to have those radio controls. If I remember right - it’s the volume control on the right side and next/back controls on the left 👍
after driving MAX Expedition you are lucky enough to get a 2021 Tahoe Damn Nolan. Jealous. How weird is it being in 2021 Models? You like me Love the Upper A/C Vents in the rear seats of vehicles. You want it to hit your head and face. Makes a huge difference. Cars like My Impala has the lower center console A/C vents but they are very powerful on Max setting. I aim them up to hit up my shirt sleeve lol. We get hot too. 90 and very Humid today. Rest of the month forecasted to be more humid.
Definitely lucky lol...it’s always fun! They make a big difference for sure. IMO the humidity is the worse part...start sweating without doing anything lol

I love my Suburban Premier Rst one yr older, I don't like the body styles of the newer ones....still have the 6.2 V8 and 10 SPD transmission and magnetic ride control and I get avg 23 mpg(what my vehicle is showing now)sometimes I get more....besides the full roof of glass on the new ones, 2019-2020 are better...just my opinion
P.s. did I mention my screen raises up and have a space for USB port and storage that is lockable? Which you lose with 2021 models and my 22" rims? A lot more car for 80k$ than newer models....
lol tahoe isnt the king its the security for the king
Maybe I'm crazy but I think it's crazy vehicles can cost almost as much as a freaking house.
Not a bad vehicle but I personally rather get a 2020 z71 colorado truck for the price.
The more tech they throw in these vehicles the more that can or will go wrong with it.
Darth Bane exactly. I remember when I wanted to purchase a home and I only wanted to purchase at 150.000. This truck is very pricey
I don’t know if I love it because of the front grille that makes it look less like a mom car, or hate it because of its rear that makes it look like a Ssangyong
A very beautiful car, and thank you for introducing how do I know the price of the car and which area to buy it
Bro how did you get the 2021 Chevy athoe
Does the bee come standard?
The Chevy Tahoe was my dream car from the first time i saw in 2010 ..... still my dream car. Too bad I not have that money to get one. But actually I enjoy watching this videos. :-)
Can you tell us the exact sticker code of those rims? Great review
I love this car!!! But the cars nowdays got WAY TO EXPENSIVE!!!! THIS CAR 20 YEARS A GO WOULD BE 20K CHEAPER...
qwerty12345470 very true my friend greed is the problem nobody looks up for the lil man (85% of Americans)
So would the annual income lol....its called inflation....
Those button gear selectors won't work well with winter gloves. I don't get the push to leave column shift.
what about the 2021 chevy suburban
It’ll have basically the exact same setup and speakers but more space in the back 👍
It looks nice, but the price? 🤔 I don’t know ...
Whe are getting the gmc sierra diesel at4 denali
Great video and that Tahoe looks so nice
Thank you!
Is that Tahoe already leaking what's up with the puddle?
It’s the AC condensation dripping. All cars do that a little bit
Omg Greenville thats my city❤️ that Chevy tahoe is very beautiful.
Boring ass Greenville and Clemson
Wow! I love this new Tahoe High Country. Either wait for 3 years price drops or lease then buy it. Man, that's a lot of money.
Tell Britain Chevrolet to give me a free Tahoe! 😆
Very good detailed review and awesome edit work.
Hey bro quick question. How do u post stories on UA-cam. I have 4K subs and I don’t have this feature
I think it’s for 10k subs and up. When you go to the “create” button when you upload a video..it’ll show up there. Keep checking in case they start to allow it. Keep up the good work! 👍
Is there a longer version than this?
Yes the Suburban is the longer version
love it just don't need the 3rd row wish it could be delated at the factory
Leave it folded down
She pretty I want one just like that them rims was 🔥
The 15-20 looks better than this imo, I’ll rather wait for those to drop on the price
Exactly!!! 15-20 model are gorgeous!!! I just got a 20 from the dealer 3 months ago , I didn’t wanna wait for the 21 since I’ve seen the model online and they look like a pick up truck
Hedi Benmbarek I been looking also. How is the gas mileage and how much to fill up?
CHEVY TAHOE JUST THE CAR FOR ME....!!!!! 👑👑👑
after driving MAX Expedition you are lucky enough to get a 2021 Tahoe Damn Nolan.
