god damn,i been sitting with an external monitor for years when i could of just done this,I dont use the mbp anymore except when i need it for jailbreak or ramdisk stuff.My question is what if there is no voltage at the connector where would the fuse be as i noticed the keyboard light is also off

Quick question. Were you powered up when you put the flashlight behind the screen to verify whether the backlight was working? I noticed you had it plugged in but I wasn't sure if you were fully booted up. Thanks!

@@marcuscupello Copy that. I purchased a new M1 and traded in my 2012 (happy about the retro ports being reintroduced). They sent back the 2012 and said it had a backlight issue. Nothing I can see based on your excellent tutorial. Just wanted to be sure before I sent it back to kids in Cupertino. Thanks again for the speedy reply and guidance.
