Love my Q-Club. Originally purchased it to talk trash to my friends that i could beat them with one club. Ended up enjoying the ease of it and for a quick 9 its a lot of fun
I have one of these. Was part of the initial kick starter campaign. The team behind it are great and for me it permanently lives in the boot of the car and is great for a par 3 lunchtime round next to where I work. Like Rick says too, if fulfils that role of “if only I had my clubs with me”.
Fair review. I've owned a Q Club since shortly after they were introduced and I've played quite a bit with it. I usually pair it with my favorite driver and wedge, and sometimes putter (though I putt really well with the Q). The club plays much better than you would expect. I recently took it to my local club fitter (former mini tour player with a plus handicap...) and he used it on his simulator and he came away very impressed.
Love these videos because it proves that even for a near scratch golfer, the equipment barely matters, if at all. Played as well or better with the hybrids and this single club, as he does with his $4000 setup fit specifically to him.
I have noticed that when Rick is doing a "video just for fun" download (i.e. adjustable club in this video, the "all hybrids" video, some kind of vintage club set, etc) he tends to play really well. My theory is that when Rick is using his own clubs in a "competitive" format (Break 75, beat the pro with a 10 shot head start, etc) he puts pressure on himself to play perfectly, and as less-than-perfect shots happen he gets in his own head and goes into the death spiral of self-doubt and dread. When it's a "just for fun" video there is no expectation of a great score, he plays loose and free, and as a result his game is much better.
I'm a roadie who is always on the road and also am stuck at venues for hours upon hours at a time. I bought this club after seeing the review and was overall think it is accurately portrayed. For context...love golf, but not great...just love the game...have a 15 handicap...don't hit the ball a long way but long enough to play bogey golf for the most part. My driver max is 225 yards and averages about 210 or so...and it costs me strokes with balls hit OB off the tee...so often times I tee off with a 3 hybrid I played 9 holes the first time with this club a few weeks ago and shot a 45...length was 5800 yards....I found I could not hit the Singer setting at all and used the Hybrid setting...getting about 170 yards off the tee. Rest of the iron settings were consistent and felt good...but about 10% shorter than my normal clubs...I was fine with that and adjusted accordingly. Gapping was accurate I have gone to the range twice since and found hitting off of mats felt ok, but every now and then a mishit would rattle the club and my hands... Hitting at the range of of grass felt great and had great results. Pitching and chipping with it took some time to adjust...but figured it out and play the ball off my back foot for consistent results. I played 9 holes with it last night and shot a 49...tried the Stinger setting off the tee like the video Q club put out as a tutorial and still could not hit it well...I think my swing speed is just too slow for 11 degree irons. It is worth it...fun to use and will be using it just for the looks I get at my 9 hole golf league every Monday night
Wanna Score under 90 n hit it strait every time? Do this drill: TOE-UP 2 TOE-UP Ball Striking DRILL. Requires a CENTER of Clubhead hit. I later gave it to my daughter-in-law so she could start playing golf without having to buy entire set of clubs. She loves it!
Nice one Richard! When we started Q our mission was to make golf more fun and accessible for club and new golfers, and your comment covers both situations. Most of our golfers have a full set as well, but there are some who have put that aside. Recently we sold a couple of clubs to a couple Harley owner friends so they can enjoy golf on the road!
I live in a neighborhood with a golf course, we walk around the course at night this would be perfect to just take out on a walk and play a hole or practice a little bit
Go back to the old fashioned chipping style with it using a 7 iron for everything around the green... Paul Runyun style. As a kid we would play with putter, 7, 5, and 3 iron in a cloth bag. Total fun!
For hill walkers, dog walkers, coast path walkers, etc it’s a great way to hit a few ball on the move. Think I’d be wanting to fit a walking stick end onto the butt of the club, so that when not being used as a club, it’d be a walking stick/walking pole. Perhaps carrying a few soft practice balls as well as some proper balls and a few random tees, it’d have a use almost anywhere. Technically, although it’s not a legal in competition club, once it’s in a setting it’s in that setting and could be argued that each individual setting being a different club, the setting should be treated as different clubs. Therefore unless you add weights on the move or damage it, then you are not alternating anything else to do with the face or back of the club; in theory it’s x around to legal clubs, much in the way you’d go back to your bag to collect a different club. I’d happily see special one club speed play events. That’d attract runners to the game 🤣 It’d be a great club to carry in your car boot. Great for a lunch hour at work, where they perhaps have some green space big enough to hit a few balls.
It seems like this would be a great club for Top Golf to have in it's Driving Bays for Golfers to uses that don't have there clubs with them but want to hit some balls..
In addition to the points mentioned it could be useful for someone who doesn't like the idea of, or physically struggles with, a big heavy golf bag. Adding your favourite putter, Sand wedge and Driver isn't going to add much weight at all but will open up the world of golf.
I would love to see you have a tour pro or someone like that try this club out as a challenge. See what they can do with it and what their thoughts are on it as well.
Rick and team. that was a good video. 👍🏻 I first thought it was a gimmick. Turns out it works well. They should change that grip to one with lines on at the standard length for each club. Break 75 needed with this
I thing, for a fun game after work, with your friends.. just take a lob wedge, this club and maybe driver and it could be a solid round of golf with lot of fun and minimum of weight on your shoulders!
When I was in university and relied on my bicycle or public transit to get around everywhere, this would have been a great club to have. While I have no need for it now...I still sort of want one just to try it out.
These are the videos that made Rick so famous and everyone love him. Hope he gets back to these and not just “break 75” with guy. Those are getting a bit boring now
there just needs to be a rule that a field adjustable loft club counts as one club for every available loft setting. so as that club has 11 settings, there could be three more in the bag.
Can't say I've ever thought of using an All-In-One club before. However, there is a bonus here, this video can double as your Bryson Dechambeau single length iron video!
It’s a great club. Takes a little getting used to. But shot on two 18 hole rounds just 4 strokes off my handicap. You and Bryson should play a round with those 3 clubs.
Super interesting. One potential issue is reliability/robustness. If you do have a technical failure of any kind your round is screwed, so longer term user reviews are important.
This brand should work on a 3 club setting allowing someone to play like with a full bag. Short grip - blade ish shape : 8/9/SW/PW/Putter Mid grip - same shape as in video : 7/6/5/4 Long grip - hybrid : 3 Iron + woods. These packaged in a nice compact bag would be perfect travel kit !
Lov ur mindset. I golf with a 6 iron n a pitch wedge w- leading edge ground flat for putting. I hang 1 club in my pocket as i walk along in th park/golf course. 2 club golf is waaaay fun.
One easy change the makers of the club could make to help golfers deal with different club lengths, is to simply have labelled marks or lines along the grip that mark where the different standard club lengths are instead of having golfers kinda guess how much they have to grip up or down.
I wanted to buy this golf club a year ago when my geography class went on a fieldtrip to the UK and my teacher said there was a golfcourse there but we were only allowed to bring handluggage...
They should make a 3 club set...so 1 club is wedges so you can adjust from like a 60 degree to a 45 degree wedge or something and that club would have the putter setting, another club for pitching wedge to 4 iron, and another club with a larger back which would be like driver/woods with variable loft options like you could go 11 degree driver, 10 degree driver etc and a 5 and 3 wood....they could reduce you to 3 clubs but keep club lengths a little closer to what you would expect whilst also designing the clubs to fit the specific shots its grouping would face
Assuming it comes in a left handed model, it would be a great club if one, for any reason, someone wanted to start playing with the opposite hand for a righty.
How about carrying it in a sunday bag. 4 or 5 clubs. Driver, putter, a proper sand wedge and this club to fill in the middle clubs? Would work for me and my scooter I drive to the golf course....nice review Rick.
Honestly if you have 13 clubs in the bag and are looking for something just to fill the hole as an average golfer I could see someone getting one of these: especially if they can figure out how to hit it well. It probably offers some distances that would fill some gaps in an almost full set of clubs. Not everyone can take power off a swing and strike the ball well, so if this would provide a medium ground between some clubs it’d be worth it.
This club alongside a proper putter and driver would be a very good starting set. I don't think beginners will be able to use if effectively off the tee. Also when you do start to progress and move to a proper set, you know how to hit driver and putt well
If I’m going to play with just one club, it would be my Mizuno fli-hi 7 hybrid. I honestly believe I could play a reasonably good round with just that club, as long as I play from the forward tees. That aside, I enjoy playing with few clubs. Right now I only carry 7 hybrid, 8 and 9 iron, 3 wedges and a putter.
A club like this would also be good for someone who lives in a Tiny Home/RV/Boat where space is an absolute premium. You might not be able to justify having a full golf bag, but one club lets you stay in the game.
6. Travel club! Instead of worrying about your whole set getting "lost" on flights. Maybe it can fit diagonally in a large suit case. Try it when you come to the States again.
6. you will never forget a club on the course =)
but when you do you leave them ALL
I’d still find a way to do it 😂

These are the videos that made Rick so famous and everyone love him. Hope he gets back to these and not just “break 75” with guy. Those are getting a bit boring now
Cool option for people who play par 3s. just bring this and a putter! Maybe bring along a driver if you're playing a full course.
This is one of the best golf channels.
Thanks Rick. I just ordered this club after viewing your video
Where did you order it from? I had one on order with Amazon since early March, and they just refunded me saying g it was not available.
Ronnie.
Rick please challenge Bryson to see what he can shoot with it.
Bryson would probably do really well with it since he plays his irons and wedges all one length anyway.
It'd be perfect to take in my RV camper on road trips where I'm storage poor 👍
You tested the Divnik telescopic club years ago. I actually picked one up. I travel with it.
there just needs to be a rule that a field adjustable loft club counts as one club for every available loft setting. so as that club has 11 settings, there could be three more in the bag.
Q is doing what was done in the 70's. SOLO W73 adjustable iron. Great video as always!
Can't say I've ever thought of using an All-In-One club before. However, there is a bonus here, this video can double as your Bryson Dechambeau single length iron video!
Missing file at 2:02.
Rick I don't think I've ever seen you make 2 pars and a birdie on the trot so I think a full 18 hole break 75 should be attempted with this club 😂😢
Great for par three courses
It’s a great club. Takes a little getting used to. But shot on two 18 hole rounds just 4 strokes off my handicap.
You and Bryson should play a round with those 3 clubs.
Very interesting club 🙂
Might need cargo pants for extra balls, tees, rangefinder, phone, etc. 🤣
Super interesting. One potential issue is reliability/robustness. If you do have a technical failure of any kind your round is screwed, so longer term user reviews are important.
1# reason is you.get a full set for 220 , golf clubs are expensive and not everyone can afford them , this is a cheap option 👍
Better than I thought it would be.
This brand should work on a 3 club setting allowing someone to play like with a full bag.
Short grip - blade ish shape : 8/9/SW/PW/Putter
Mid grip - same shape as in video : 7/6/5/4
Long grip - hybrid : 3 Iron + woods.
These packaged in a nice compact bag would be perfect travel kit !
Just get a 7 iron demo club at the end of season. $2, save $200, learn how to manipulate the club face. Then go buy a Kirkland driver
Lov ur mindset. I golf with a 6 iron n a pitch wedge w- leading edge ground flat for putting. I hang 1 club in my pocket as i walk along in th park/golf course. 2 club golf is waaaay fun.
One easy change the makers of the club could make to help golfers deal with different club lengths, is to simply have labelled marks or lines along the grip that mark where the different standard club lengths are instead of having golfers kinda guess how much they have to grip up or down.
that also depends on the length of the person, so that would be a mess I think.
You could line up with your regular clubs and mark grip with a sharpie
Rick, you need to take this club to the HIT studio to figure out your distances, then go back out to the course knowing your yardages.
Assuming it comes in a left handed model, it would be a great club if one, for any reason, someone wanted to start playing with the opposite hand for a righty.
Don't we all just stroll down the street with our dog and like magic....a golf course right there and they don't mind you playing a few holes anytime.
Thanks Rick for the low down on the Q-club! It might have it’s perks but frankly I will stick with my full arsenal of clubs 😊
I looked it up, only available as a kit outside USA, kit = no shaft.
This club alongside a proper putter and driver would be a very good starting set.
I don't think beginners will be able to use if effectively off the tee. Also when you do start to progress and move to a proper set, you know how to hit driver and putt well
Nice video Jim. Would be nice if you could do a Do & Don't regarding LOFT & Lie adjustments
This is the best Rick has every played 😂
Rick, Even if you didn’t use all the settings and just put it in the bag as your putter ! Never seen you putt so well! Haha
With a constant shaft length. Short irons should go farther, unless you grip down.
Rick needs this in the bag. He’s throwing darrs
6. Travel club! Instead of worrying about your whole set getting "lost" on flights. Maybe it can fit diagonally in a large suit case. Try it when you come to the States again.
Just thinking As a beginner taking the variable shaft length and head weight between clubs, making it consistent may make intro into golf easier??
