What are the prices for the two units? How about comparison part replacement prices? What about the reliability comparison? If one unit costs a lot more in repairs then it may be financially better to go with the other unit.
I put a 410A, A/C only 3.5 Ton version of the Rheem you show there. I can tell you for a fact that you can hear that sucker inside the house. I did not know that the inverter compressors could be installed with an add-a-coil ac system. Mine is rated at 72db but the frequency travels pretty far. Now that I know, when the Rheem stops working it will be replaced by an inverter. The difference is crazy!
What’s up the the nuts on the outdoor txv’s on Goodman? Got a buddy that installs Goodman and had several callbacks for no cooling. The nuts are breaking apart and complete loose of charge. Of course they offered to make it right by giving him a new nut. 5 day old unit I told him make them give you a new outdoor just because of all the refrigerant he was going to be out.
I'm considering a 3.5 ton Daikin Fit. I had the chance to listen to a 1.5 ton Fit run at a neighbor's house. It was very quiet. How should I expect the 3.5 ton to sound by comparison? I'm concerned about outside noise, not inside. My unit will be less than two feet from a brick wall.
It's amazing how quiet the 3 ton Fit HP is. I had a preventative service appointment and the two techs weren't sure it was running but the compressor was on and indoor blower running. They were amazed at the whisper quiet.
Dave here, I installed my Goodman 16 seer split system 8 years ago, it works awesome! 2 stage heat/ cool and variable speed fan. I did replace the fan module last year. Would you consider selling me a Daiken Fit to replace my outdoor unit, as a quiet upgrade?
Good video. My two stage higher SEER Goodman unitary (installed July 2022) is really quiet outside once running but there’s always that initial start up jolt. Obviously something like the Fit carries some advantages, especially in terms of clearance, noise, and efficiency. Those are some pretty big pros. I like the unit I purchased, that said, but space isn’t a huge issue and I live in a 200 year old double brick walled structure.
Hey there Josh!, one of your Tuesday night regulars here. I was VERY pleased (as a music/audiophile), that you were using the A weighting. So many do not know the differences between the two and just what they are measuring. I have a story about the Mitsubishi and my neighbors, but I will save that for your live show ....and, good to see you at full scale, vs. half a man 😉. See you Tuesday night for more HVAC topics!
I like this style of video where you are out in the field and showing products. Props for the change in style for this content. Great stuff 👍
Thanks pal
@@NewHVACGuide I sent you some questions for the Daikin tour. The conversation with Daikin will be great! Congrats again.
@@Ryan-RM Thanks pal! I'll take a look!

Great stuff. I’d love a tour of a Skyair system if you have installed one
I like these units. I may get one once the R32 units become available in the US.

Buenas noches maestro cual es la diferencia entre hyper heat y heat pump regular

I was always told no filter/drier because its an obstruction (pressure drop) and theres no need because you were flowing nitro if you were brazing
Does the Daikin require a new evap coil install as well and is the evap fan also variable speed or just single stage??

Hello. Unfortunately, we are not a distributor. We only install them. You should contact your local distributor or Daikin directly.

Finally!!! This is a great video!!!
Thank you!
Noise comparison is not the only way to compare units, cost to operate, repair, efficiency & longevity.
Hi josh, why have you got a liquid line dryer fitted? Not needed sir ;)
They come taped to the side of the unit. I’m pretty sure Daikin wants them installed 🙂
Daikin fit 12k capilar or Eletronic
