I don't use a screen for my projector and was amazed how good it looked 10 years ago with my first projector. My wife would rather not have a big screen on the wall in the family room and it works well enough. My wall is actually a light green and I was amazed to see white jerseys while watching basketball. That is why we decided not to get a screen.
Looks amazing, looking forward to seeing your full review once you get this on screen. Please do share what screen you end up choosing and maybe what considerations you had when selecting one for this projector.
Great review! I'm a huge fan of projection (as you already know 😜) for the simple reason, I feel, you get a true cinematic experience from the sheer size of the image. Can't wait to see this one in action on a screen. I'm currently projecting a 120" image at 1080p from 13 ft. Away, so to get that same size at only a few inches from the wall, and in 4K, is unreal. Short throws are a very exciting tech, looking forward to more on these from your awesome channel!
Very interesting video, but I noticed that in the bottom center of the image the black sometimes appears grayish, while in the other areas it appears much darker. Can this also be seen in reality? For example, in the scene with the three blue snails at minute 0:43. I would be very happy to receive an answer.
That's really impressive, cool that your going to hook it up to the series X. Wonder about input lag on it. I'm interested in Sony's new black master drive LCD, I want to see how close it gets to OLED.
Probably one of the biggest selling points besides the HDMI 2.1 and being a triple laser setup is the fact that you can adjust between 90inchs and 130inches.
Me and my wife are torn and after getting a 77inch a80j for the bed room and 75inch X95k for the living room we are trying to decide on this UST or 77inch LG C2 for our den/movie room.
Why does it look like there’s a screen you can see black bars around around the image like the bezels on a screen… strange .. what’s the smallest screen size you can make this projector? And I saw it said Hisense oled ? Are they making oled this year?
How did you get a perfectly shaped image on your wall. I tried setting mine up last night and I couldn’t get auto keystone to work and manual didn’t do any better it still completely odd shaped so I gave up and boxed it up. Not very user friendly compared to xgimi horizon ultra
Thanks this looks amazing. I was wanted to know how it was without a screen. Wonder how the new Optoma will compare is it uhz50 as it does 3d too just looking at the website seemed there was a bit of marketing bs on there though so i bet its not as good as this
Great video as always. Will you elaborate more on the contrast performance and black levels in a future video? How does this stack up against IPS LCD and VA LCD? Really exciting technology. All the best.
Not sure if you can compare this Hisense PX1-Pro vs Vava Chroma? I am torn between these two, and would like to know each strength and weakness. Thanks!

I used to have a 1080p projector setup with a 120" screen but was spoiled by HDR10 and Dolby Vision when I had to move to a 65" 4K TV. I'm interested in these new short throw projectors, but it seems like the jury is still out on their HDR performance in general. Until they get pretty close to the HDR performance of an actual panel, it's going to be hard to go back to projection for me... but I do miss the big screen in my theater.
What camera settings do you use to film that good from the screen ? When filming Laser TVs I often have stripes in the picture so I have to go down with my shutter speed. Thanks !

Im sooo comfused about hdr. If i want to see real native 1000 nits content without the tv tone mapping or dimming down the brightness. Do i just need a hdr 1000 nits tv? I feel like i would need something wayyy brighter cuz if it cant display 1000 nits everywhere forever its gonna litterally dim everything right? So my question is basically how many nits do i need for native 1000 nits no compromise
The 1000 nits is really the case as oleds have been doing hdr for many many years. Brighter helps but contrast ratio will always be king
Amazing video
does it have 3d capability?
Unfortunately it doesn't my friend but I believe BenQ and Optoma are still rocking 3d. Thank you for watching
So why need screen?
You don't my friend. A screen would help the picture qualities contrast ratio. Thank you for watching
Hopefully it does justice to 4khdr, would be a awesome option for those that can afford it.
Well now that I saw the livestream that was a really impressive picture with excellent black levels and plenty of pop. They really did something special with it.
Why did you lie to your fans? You showed a bare wall in the intro but then put a ALR screen after. It is misleading and I already reported.
Only problem is that the projector throw bulbs are very expensive to replace , use up a lot of electricity, and the throw bulbs have a short lifespan. Nice set up but not financially practical.
Ply some real content instead of demos!!!!!!!!!
I would if It wasn't for copyright on youtube. You'll see gaming which is real content. Thank you so much for your feedback
