I love Judith Durham both for her singing and looks but most of all for her heart and soul which were the foundation of that great band The Seekers. What bothers me is that most people today don't even know about them. This says much more about the age we live in than about a truly remarkable group of musicians .A bit of them will always be a part of me since I was a young kid back in Ireland listening to the radio that my blessed mother always had on as she worked around the house. They have a piece of my❤️ forever.
Judith Durham has to be considered one of the most underrated female singers of all time considering the quality of her voice and the fact that relatively few people ever heard of her. The voice of an angel.
I'm 72.... And I have to agree.... This group were brilliant..... fabulous at what they did..... I dreamed that Judith agreed to marry me some years ago....alas...was only a dream. Now she has gone, the world is a poorer place...and my heart is so empty. Cliches, I know.....This is all we are left with. Thank you.
74 here. Haven’t listened to radio in years. Seen the invention of transistor radios, lived through the English invasion in the sixties, watched MTV come and go, loved every minute of it. Judith Durham was very special, her voice stayed strong and beautiful til the end. RIP dear Judith.
No autotune, no crazy choreography, no prancing about half-naked on stage. Such beauty, such purity, such fine, well-trained musicians! Excuse the gushing, I get like this when I hear this fantastic group. Thank you Rich!😊
You should not be apologizing for the "gushing".It is totally justified.I love these musicians (especially Judith!)for their great talent and even moreso for their great humanity. I've lived in Ireland ,England ,Canada and America but I want to go to Australia,in my retirement to meet a lady that reminds me of Judith Durham!.If I do ,I'll die happy!!. Now I'm gushing ,and no apologies!! All the best to you , I think we have a similar insight into what constitutes a great human being!!
Very young back then. The youngest of three, so always in the car, The seekers were always on the radio, even into the 70’s. Some songs you just never forget from your childhood.
My favorite girl when i was young. Ten years ago i sendt her a massege telling her how much her music ment to me. The reply came so sviftly saying: thank you for your lovely massege from the other side of the world. The respond of peoples like you is the reson why i still sing and make music . God bless her soul.😊
i am 74 now and When I was young heard it on the radio...unforgettable!! What a melodious voice and bewildering close harmony ..it still gives me the shivering . Heaven has another angel!!
I'm 73 years old. The Seekers were my favorite group when I was in high school. The group had a perfect blend. And Judith; what can I say; the voice of an angel.
Judith Durham had a magnificent voice which became even more full and mellow into her later years. The Seekers' harmonies and musicianship were superb. No overdubs, auto tune or flashy effects, they just sang and played so beautifully.
Definitely the best of the years for the world. An innocent time. Better everything. The language. The dress. The wholesomeness and the way they carried themselves in the 60’s. I miss those carefree days.
Seriously? The peak of the civil rights struggles, numerous assassinations of political and civil rights leaders, the Vietnam war, often violent anti-war protests, urban protests, the Berlin Wall, Watergate....... I could go on (and on). There is a reason why the 60s is known as "the most explosive, tumultuous and divisive decade" in history. 🤦🏽♂️🙄 Innocent, wholesome and carefree it most definitely was NOT.
Judith is no longer with us but her voice stills makes me emotional. Such a clear and distinctive sound which she never lost. Thank you Judith for all of those lovely songs. From England.
The Seekers and the wonderful Judith- from a very emotional song about love to a catchy, quirky Aussie folk number - and both perfect. That demonstrates their unbounded class and quality. Whenever I am down I listen to Judith and the Seekers. Nothing else quite lifts me like they do.
And they're still bigger than most groups today.. Now why is that... It's great vocals, no screaming, great timing, great harmony and true raw talent.. Simple tunes in a way. I long for these days again..
This being a live performance, It's marvellous the way they work the microphones, using distance and angles from the microphone to get the right vocal blend what talent.
Judith was more of an institution than a singer. The seekers were the first international recording group. From 1963 to 1968 they outsold the Beatles. RIP Judith we all love you.
I was working in London in the 60’s. I went to the Palladium to see the Seekers. I am now 80 and it is a rare day that I do not listen to a track or two of their songs. Best group ever IMO. Thanks for uploading this.
I am as emotionally attached to them as you are.I was a kid back in Ireland and they were always on the radio. My mother,God Rest Her ,used to sing along to their songs as she did her work in the kitchen.Judith Durham was not just the heart and soul of the group but a truly beautiful woman in every way .There are a few women I carry around in my heart❤️.Even though I never met her or see in person ,she is one of them.
Groups like the seekers are long forgotten in the history of music like most folk singers. But to those of us from that era they will never be forgotten.
From one of my favorites of their hits - to a folk song seldom heard - a great combination. Thank you. Allhough the group is no more thankfully they are present in recordings and on videos. Thank you for all that you find and provide for us. It never gets old or unappreciated.
I’m “transported” back to my teens, black-and-white t.v., only three channels, programmes worth watching and wonderful music. I was lucky enough to see Judy in concert on her 60th birthday at the South Bank in London. What an evening! All The Seekers were great too.
Judith Durham was born with asthma and at age four caught measles, which left her with a life-long chronic lung disease, bronchiectasis. Durham died from the disease in Melbourne on August 5, 2022, at age 79.
I expect it will happen when AI can do as good a job as humans. I did the colour clip mostly by hand, which takes many hours for every second of footage!
This was wonderful harmony. And then this young lady started singing. Young men singing harmony with instruments. Cool. Add a young lady singing. This has always worked. Look at history. This has ALWAYS WORKED. 😂😂😂😂
The 12 string guitar of Keith Potger was my idol in the mid 60's - he with a few others is responsible for my lifelong obsession with the instrument.
This lady's voice was highly underrated. To my way of thinking she would be mentioned in the same breath as Mary Travers, Carole King and Carly Simon.
Judith Durham has to be considered one of the most underrated female singers of all time considering the quality of her voice and the fact that relatively few people ever heard of her. The voice of an angel.
I don’t mind the half naked bit though, come on!
I feel very privileged to have been able to live during this bands journey to fame. I’m 75. Miss these guys. God bless and thank you.
❤
I'm 72.... And I have to agree.... This group were brilliant..... fabulous at what they did.....

I'm 72 now, not much more I can say than you guys have already said. Agree with you all.
No autotune, no crazy choreography, no prancing about half-naked on stage. Such beauty, such purity, such fine, well-trained musicians! Excuse the gushing, I get like this when I hear this fantastic group. Thank you Rich!😊
Actually the industry is a circus in special the Latin music

I saw them live, I considered it a privilege ❤️
Auto tune made some duds Millions
Amen!❤
I miss the days of clean cut people singing lovely melodies with words you can understand.
How apt is that for so many people. Including me.
Ditto for me. Miss those days and those beautiful people.
I was thinking the same thing!
Very young back then. The youngest of three, so always in the car, The seekers were always on the radio, even into the 70’s. Some songs you just never forget from your childhood.
And who play their own instruments
And we'll never find another YOU, Judith!
She had a beautiful voice. One of the best They were great.
Judith was ALWAYS pitch-perfect.
R.i.P babe❤

How beautiful she was, and that voice...

I am 74 as well. I grew up listening to them. I was so sad to hear of Judith's passing.
I hope you kept it, that is like gold as a collector's personal item for you!
I'm 73 years old. The Seekers were my favorite group when I was in high school. The group had a perfect blend. And Judith; what can I say; the voice of an angel.
What a crystal clear and strong voice she has!
Truly a period of time when music was outstanding with talent!
Judith Durham had a magnificent voice which became even more full and mellow into her later years. The Seekers' harmonies and musicianship were superb. No overdubs, auto tune or flashy effects, they just sang and played so beautifully.
I agree -- as time passed she seemed more at home with the deeper notes.
❤ I just love their rhythm, voices and everything else about them.
Definitely the best of the years for the world. An innocent time. Better everything. The language. The dress. The wholesomeness and the way they carried themselves in the 60’s. I miss those carefree days.
Completely agree; the times were both more innocent yet more sophisticated than today.
Love Judith’s soaring vocals. Have loved this song for 60 years or so.
Great music from a better time. The Seekers are timeless, and Judith will be even more loved as the years go by.
You are so, so right, "A Better Time".
She was such a national Aussie treasure.
Beautiful. Superb sound. What an act they were.
I too love the Seekers. Wonderful musicians all. But Judith's voice was truly a voice from heaven.
She is a true godess of music. She had the voice of an Angel.
I love The Seekers! I was very saddened by the death of Judith Durham; she died the same week as Olivia Newton John. They are great!
2 really great singers making music in heaven
The Seekers and the wonderful Judith- from a very emotional song about love to a catchy, quirky Aussie folk number - and both perfect. That demonstrates their unbounded class and quality. Whenever I am down I listen to Judith and the Seekers. Nothing else quite lifts me like they do.
Judith was gorgeous in every way. So happy i grew up with this group 😁
Simply beautiful time in history .
Real talent and music .
RAPP CANT HOLD A CANDLE TO THIS

She sounds fantastic, what a group this was .....
I love this group. I appreciate them even more after sixty years of love and listening.

This lady had a wonderful voice. This was back when I was a very young man . Wonderful music. 😊
GREETINGS FROM THE USA, MY ALL TIME FAVORITE GROUP.🇺🇸❤️
Groups like the seekers are long forgotten in the history of music like most folk singers. But to those of us from that era they will never be forgotten.
I shall never forget Judith. She had a grand life. May God rest your soul in Peace.
The most beautiful female voice ever. She's beautiful, too.
Something about Judith singing straight into the camera that makes it feel like she really is singing to you personally ❤️🔥
Gotta thank Australia for this magnificent group. Judith is so beautiful, just like her angelic voice.
The world will never find another Judith.
From one of my favorites of their hits - to a folk song seldom heard - a great combination. Thank you. Allhough the group is no more thankfully they are present in recordings and on videos. Thank you for all that you find and provide for us. It never gets old or unappreciated.
Thank you, that's good to hear!
I'm 81 and I too was glad to be here when they performed.

Que belleza de voz única que nostalgia, estaba con 17 años de edad y en la secundaria, la mejor época de la juventud
I love Australians I served in the Vietnam war at Phan Rang air base in Vietnam with them!Good people!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My guardian played this song the day I went over the rainbow in his arms. He loved me and I loved him.
Only the best of luck resolving your eye problems -- but of course when it comes to Judith's voice may your hearing always be 'pitch perfect!'
I’m “transported” back to my teens, black-and-white t.v., only three channels, programmes worth watching and wonderful music. I was lucky enough to see Judy in concert on her 60th birthday at the South Bank in London. What an evening! All The Seekers were great too.

Judith and Olivia - what a sad week that was.😮
Can we ever hope to see this whole beautiful concert in color?
I expect it will happen when AI can do as good a job as humans. I did the colour clip mostly by hand, which takes many hours for every second of footage!
Awesome 🤩 The renaissance of music 🎶 Never to be repeated ❤
Thank you, Rich , great as always!
😀
Another great version, Rich!
