Thanks for the videos, the shit talkers don’t know how hard it is to film these things!!👍
Thanks man appreciate that! Did the best i could with what I have and the amount of people around trying to cover it too.
BUILT DIESEL MAFIA OP 👍
🔴[PREMIER]
by shit talkers, do you mean the HUGE amount of emissions absolutely fucking up the atmosphere? cool vid, but it has to stop.
It doesn't matter how har it is to film things when the title is misleading...no times...I can shoot this standing on my head with one arm tied behind my back....lol azzkizzer
10 minutes into it and I think 1 duramax has made a full pass
You can really see the difference between those who tune on a dyno and those who just throw as much fuel as they can at it. There are a few there who have the fuel down, I’ve worked with diesels for a while now and it’s nice to see them tuning for power without excess smoke.
No Smoke No Poke....
@@aeroflopper 👏👏👏
I'm a huge diesel fan. I've got an older VW Jetta TDI that's tuned. I get 52mpg and drive hard. The tune nearly doubles the torque and adds a good amount of HP. It's quick and fun to drive. It's not a race car, it's my daily driver, but it's quick getting up to speed and fun.
Have a stock f-250, can't wait to save up for a tune and delete!
Too much smoke is just wasted fuel. If my tune in my Jetta wasn't good, I'd smoke a bit, too, and wouldn't get such good mpg. 👌
It's a factor of a big power diesel with mechanical injection, they all do it. It's the nitrous that makes them clear up under wide open which is why they all puff on the shift
@@aeroflopper smoke means unburnt fuel which means it didn't produce any power.
God damn that Armor Trucks front end wanted to walk out from under it. What a ride when those 106 Garret’s light. Per usual, thank you for the content. Very much appreciated.
I can smell this video through my phone 😅
yep it smells like power
🤣🤣🤣🤣 hell yea propane and diesel fuel
@Jon How can you tell if its coal or diesel fuel they use
@@deniseshephard3347 The smoke it emits from the exhaust, its really black.
@@199xtv4 thank you for information

This is the most beautiful sounding mechanical failure I've heard of.
Yea, i agree
Like a majestical lizard drowning
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I LOVE TO WATCH DIESEL TRUCKS DRAG RACE!!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!
Thanks for the video! Remember the 1st UCC in SLC few years ago, wondering how it would do. Sucks NHRDA is gone but very happy to see a good crowd turn out and the UCC doing well!
I went to the races at Rocky Mountain Raceway in SLC. They tore it down now. No more track. Guess the lease wasn't renewed and they had to tear it up so the land owner is going to lease it to something else. I heard it may move out to Tooele and build.
@@Long-nd8bq Damn!!! Didn't know or hear about that!! We've raced there 3/4 times, & coming from sea level in MD, we did pretty good w/ the altitude. That was a nice track, shame it's gone like so many now a days.
@10:44 that’s some nasty detonation knock knock. Who’s there.... your wrist pin rattling piston😲
Atta boy to Derek and his team at DNR! Congrats on the win this year! Big Hig is smiling down on all of us. Much love fellas

A couple of things I've noticed. No one is warming up their tires. No one is lining them up in the groove for best traction. Building boost for the launch takes them forever. A ton of guys are having fuel starvation issues around 60 to 100ft and shutting down. Zero chassis tuning for drag racing. Watch them bounce around, pivot, and walk to the left. Half the drivers don't know what staging is.
Honestly reminds me of sportsman class drag racing in the 90s when everybody was just starting with turbos.
@Trevor Halperin very true. 4wd burnouts are doable, but the skill required directly translates to the drag racing ability. It's one of the things they learn once they get a few hundred passes in. From the amount of driver front tire toe in on all of them more suspension work would help there as well.
@@davemcdaniel4856 Alot of those trucks were there for not just drag racing, but the truck pulls. Alot of them are set up that way BECAUSE they're there for the pulling competition. Reason why alot of them don't really shift past 2 nd or 3rd. Most are built for torque and run slipper clutches for building boost, which is why they're taking forever to leave the line.
Trevor Halperin they don’t need to warm up or line up since this was test&tune day. Some of these trucks have single big turbos twin and even triple turbos so yeah they do struggle to stage but still.
I don’t know about you but how often do you see all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicles doing a burn out or warming up the tires? Not often for anyone to do that. Sometimes maybe. Plus given the weight of these trucks pushing down on the slicks and being 4 wheel they don’t exactly need to warm the tires. That same reason why it doesn’t matter much if they’re in the groove or not. These trucks will damn near hook up on ice. And anyone that knows anything about diesel drags knows they don’t just spool up at the snap of a finger like turbo gas engines. These trucks have huge single or twin turbos which will take a bit to spool. As far as staging, do you know how hard it is to stage an all wheel/4 wheel drive vehicle? Quite difficult. Honestly seems like you don’t know what’s going on by your statements. Anyone with any knowledge of vehicles would know these things.
What place did you finish in the event?
This certainly makes it look more like an art than a science
I always liked drag racing but I never seen anything like this before 😎👍!
You need to yet out more my man!
Should change the title to test and tune day.
Or learning how to focus a camera day.
@@747TheCaptain Test & Tune & Camera Man's First Day Event & Extravaganza. Rolls off the tongue just like those trucks rolled down the strip.
Every diesel event is "test and tune" day because these things do nothing but break. Last year there was 6 hours of track cleanup. These are the mouth breathers of the racing world. And 1/8th mile too? BORING.
@@focussport because they should dump the dodge transmissions and run turbo 400s
Seems like a good amount of these entries are garbage- jeez 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 takes more than a coat of paint
Fantastic thank you!
All respect it aint easy or theyd be more doin it.
Great film, wish I knew where and when more of these were happenin atleast I could feed ya sodas er somethin.
Aint easy filming all this at all.
Great work and again Thank you...
The green light on the tree must be for show. LOL!!
Yeah reaction time didnt matter. Basically go out and run the best time you can down the track at this event for the first part of it.
32:30 for red truck
Great video! Glad to see PDD out there.
rite on
5:50 150000 rpm
I have another question you guys would know, how well does a Detroit truetrac hold up against 600hp/1000tq (at the crankshaft) so a moderately tuned super duty with the 6.7. I know this is vague and so many variables. But will a worm gear differential like that withstand high torque on pavement?
In my youth I brought a 67 Camaro that set up of 1/8 mile, I think it had 6.14’s in the rear. What gears are these guys running?
Yep that's my cup of tea in drag racing that is
Love how on the very first truck they scrubbing the driver side tires and dont touch the passenger side lol
He probably did that side already before the video started
Wannabes..... 🤔
Hi huge video and it's pick-up its huge big big up since the France 🇫🇷 👍 👌 💪 😎
It's a bad day for transmissions lol damn that's some effin power boy! whoooee
I mean they got like 5 of em
Cool race💓💓💓💓💓💓💓🤙🤙🤙🖖🖖🖖👏🙌🤘🤘
When the farm kid rolls up in his souped up diesel pickup and puts a hurting on EVERYONE! 😂
BrootPK pretty sure a stock 7.3 would beat these since nobody can make it to the finish line before breaking

Oh my gosh, I cannot get enough of the Dynomite Diesel team's run at 5:50!
af_1132racing same
Yeah... dude that fucker was scootin
4:08
That thing is a handful. Props to the driver for staying in it.
Finally... a video worth watching, thanks.
So much torque ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Pardon my ignorance, but I have a question about the second truck @ 1:30. When off the line, why does the entire truck raise up? Does he have something that counterbalances the effect on the rear? If so, it would seem counterproductive to raise the entire trucks center of gravity when launching...
It is caused by the torque being transfered through the drive shafts it can be stoped but to do that you would need to stiffen the suspention to do that and that could cause way worse problems. Yes you are paritly corect on not wanting to raise the truck on launch ,it is better for a drag veichle to be lower to the ground to reduce air flow under the veichle that can cuse uplift but these trucks are heavy enough you dont need to worrk about that.
Haters be like "Shoot Gma does 5's on her way to Church on Sundee..."
I lean over " Church only an 8th? I seen her, she should be walkin."
🇨🇦armour inc made a nice pass way to go boys 👍
Competition for a 4-cylinder diesel pick-up engine of 3,000 cc, I believe that Thailand is number one in the world in 2019. All Isuzu models, the new D-max pro models that have the best time adjustment are 7.90 seconds, the distance is 402 meters, entering the line at speed. 279 km / h 😆😆😁😁
Everyone has pet peeves, one of mine is while watching racing. When you see someone walking up with the car/truck wiping the tires. Wiping the tires is good, if you do it right. Guy wiping tires at about the 4:30 mark, correct way. Wipe the debris away from the tire in single strokes. When you run a towel or your hand across a tire like you are trying to wax, it just spreads all the debris from the tire and ends up in a nice neat pile under the tire, actually making the situation worse.
8:20 when you are so awesome that Garth Brooks wipes your tires down for you.
Is that's gray fleece truck the truck Greg A was building then sold?
0:19 Am I the only one that noticed the cement truck in the background was moving backwards pretty fast!?
thats the first thing I noticed lol. I had to rewind/replay it about four or five times.
Moldy Burgers87 ...it was moving forwards
Still moving fast though
Hahahah i found that more exciting then the actually races 😂😂😂
Depends in what state you live in Texas or so this how they build but if you live more in the north this looks weird.
I come from Holland my eyes almost rolled out my head when I saw those for the first time
I've never been able to make it to UCC. Is it the first event of a season that's just used for test and tune? Why are there so many issues? Especially the sled pull? Is the track garbage? Are these guys not pullers at all? Are they testing? I don't understand how there are so many issues across every section of this event
I just bought a 1995 F350 with a 7.3 turbo diesel! I prefer cummins, but we all have to start somewhere.
Damn shredder took off like a jet
Anyone else notice the Cement truck doing laps backwards on the highway behind the fence?!?!?!?!?
Wtf hahaha😂😂
You dumb
omg, ITS A FRONT DISCHARGE MIXER YOU IDIOT
Bruh you can’t call him a idiot
We each live some place different
It's funny how in the thumbnail it shows the Cummins that got whooped by a powestroke 🤣🤣🤣🤣
24.00 minutes. I like this car a lot. I want to follow up on the work. Of this car Please request more information.
Is this a 60ft race ?
So nobody gonna talk about the cement truck at 0:19 doing 60mph in reverse?
why the mixer truck moving backward?lol HAHAHAHHA
Why is UCC only 1/8 mile this year? Definitely nice to see PDD out there, wouldn’t mind seeing a few of their runs 👍
I guess they took a vote earlier in the year and decided to go 1/8th for safety reasons I'm guessing.
Correct. Getting too fast in the 1/4
Hell, most are lucky to make it to the 330' mark so no need to worry about 1/4
They limit them because not a single person can build one that holds together. It's a launch contest now. 1/8th miles are boring as hell. Diesel tuning will probably be dead in a few years
I was there I live in batesville Indiana
I have to say I’m throughly impressed by how these have been customised the speed they go the ground shudders does anyone no if they use any type of coal substitute because when they go all I see is just smoke
Diesels with drag tires > Diesels with off road tires
Dude @5:49 rips that thang! wowww
lots of guys having problems. some of the others? damn
So do diesel guys fake mechanical issues until the finals?
🔴[PREMIER]
Would have been nice to see some of these guys times...
Not enough Fords😭
notice how the crowd sit up wind of the track
Notice how there is only a few ford competitors and they managed to achieve the fastest time. Cummins is takes up 80% of the diesel performance group and yet the 6.4 powerstroke hasn't even been around half the time the cummins has and has achieved the quickest time haha
3:51 Here comes the 6.4! Always ready to hurt some feelings!
The dodge at 15:40, was it sportin’ a Detroit?
Triple S500 turbo 12v Cummins.
1/8th mile right?
Correct yes.
Please tell me not all diesel drags are like this?the video was done good especially considering what you had to work with.
Awesome video other than, the focus on the ET
Seems like a good portion of the trucks don't make it down the track the way they are meant to but the one's that do are fuc§§§ awesome.
Am i the only person who saw the cement truck driving backwards in the background at 0:25
Lol nope the concrete truck is not going backwards. Look again 😂
Start 0:18 - again in the minute 1:07
You have never seen those trucks close enough....
I dont follow drag racing too much, but are these guys in 4wd?
Yes they are.
BUILT DIESEL MAFIA nice, that’s crazy stress on the parts with those monster slicks. But it’s awesome to know they can handle that. Diesels are incredible.
My Isuzu D-Max SE, 3.0 Turbo Diesel with street tires and my kids in the back seat can beat all those guys. (sarcasm). Nice video, enjoyed.
Crazy what happened to Last minute Hooker on the dyno. What blows my mind is that they made it to the pulls the next day.
135 mph in the 1/8 is moving!
Exhaust Euro 5))
Is it 1st to 10 mph ? 😂😂
I think they were running 8th of a mile instead of the normal quarter of a mile.
@@ZoMTDU attempting to go an eighth mile is more like it
Spooly snails go whistle
0:19 cement mixing truck backwards??? The video plays back??
No not backwards just rear power ... probably 5-7 axle
Its probably a oskosh they have the engine in the back
It's a front discharge mixer

I love diesel but hate the smoke
Why?
NICE BABY
🔴[PREMIER]
Everyone in the crowd now has lung cancer. lol
and a sister wife!
The turbos on that red one are nuts!
For whoever knows... Are these engines injected with anything? Propane? Nitrous? Boron?
Nitrous yes.
In Korea, that race is impossible. because Euro6.
good video! good car!
Crazy how they can also run on coal! 6:15
🔴[PREMIER]
Seemed like a lot of these trucks couldn't out 60' my grandma.
You must have one fast grandma!
Lol a powerstroke on the drag strip. That’s rare. Lol
Yeah not super common but theres like 5 in this video. Couple 6.0s a couple 6.4s and a 6.7.
BUILT DIESEL MAFIA cause they’re junk🙃
What is a powerstroke?? Lol never heard of them
Powerstrokes a rare site on a drag strip cause theyre out doin real work unlike Cummins and Duramax.
Does a Powerstroke hold ANY record in anything racing/pulling/dyno.......I think not. To each their own but out doing real work unlike Cummins & Duramax 😂😂😂👎
Does anyone have a response to Rudys and his 6.4?? That's the real question....all these big companies and Rudys done put em on their ass lmao
The amount and size of the diesel particulates these smoke belchers put out is what screws up the auto focus. Lmao
How did it run🧐 I’m not sure.... black🤷♂️ it’s almost like a grudge race your tail pipe camouflages the run and the score board... so no one knows how fast you are
Bro just stop
Looks like some of those suspension setups are too soft
I wish these places would hire sound engineers to design their PA systems. All you can hear is echo on top of echo. Good video coverage though.
is this just a 60ft contest?
5:32, aiming for the crowd lol
With great power, comes great control
why are there so many guys missing their shifts???
I LOVE diesels...........
Completely hate burnouts and racing (because I don't understand the concept and the point of wasting tires or dying at a uncontrollable speed)
Seems like alot of these guys run into fueling problems at the 60ft mark
I thought everyone was just makin 60ft hits for data but i guess not lol
@@seanbowers6439 doesnt look like it bc you see them get back on it and the truck will buck like its shutting off.. and when some of them shift to 2nd they are shutting down like issues are present..
My guess is same issues drag cara run into. Most super fast stuff runs 2 to 3 lift pumps and baffled tanks.
I thought it was 1-2 shift issues
is this 1/8 ?
The Ford @ 3:37 😍😍
No mosquitos there
Some of those vehicles had preignition.
So many of these guys seem to have 0 idea how the christmas tree works... It's so easy.. you don't pull up till the truck is warmed up, then you creep up while building boost, then you get 1 yellow and you begin to give her even more boost creep up even slower to get 2 yellow then build boost like hell and wait for green! FRT
Not working on reaction time here at the beginning. Elapsed time is all the mattered. So sit and spool uo and go when you are darn good and ready is just fine.
No Smoke No Poke
True Americans don't care about pollution ⛽😎
Any hardcore stick shift Cummins running out there?
I think they are all auto but power driven diesel is a triple turbo 12 valve
Autos barely hold together, no clutches Available can hold that much power nor shift fast enough.
Manual pickups could never run 5.5 in the 1/8th
