It's such a damn shame that Sunset has 4 major recordings, and not even from a revival, and none of them with Betty Buckley. How did Dianne Carroll get a recording and not Betty?!
Carroll was the first (and only) Norma in the original Canadian production. Betty didn’t get one because she was Patti’s replacement in London and Glenn’s in New York. Although, she did do an album for Andrew Lloyd Webber called ‘New Ways to Dream’, which was just Betty singing all of Norma’s ballads.
@@BrendanClifford He is better onstage than in film. He was great as the Beast in Beauty and the Beast also, and as Cal Chandler in The Fix. Keep smiling XxX
@@RoonJazz the weird thing about Barrowman for me is that his voice always comes off too perfect, and lacking character when he sings. It's weird, but he has a gorgeous voice but it's almost too perfect, without emotion. Kinda like a robot. IDK
Betty Buckley ! The Greatest Norma of them all!
Simply the best to ever play the role. Flawless. Her voice was at its peak here. Just unmatched ease and artistry. Inspiring.
I got to see her play Norma on Broadway. She was magnificent.
ALL the leading ladies who did norma were fantastic, its such a great part and play...
Simply amazing. A truly mesmerizing, electrifying performance. Brava, Betty!
So happy I got to see her perform this in NYC. I was proud of my fellow Fort Worthian.
Love love love love love this. Betty you are amazing!
I saw this show in London! Great production!

Betty did record 4 songs on Sunset available on CD
God, this is so great!!
And she did it with Patti there in the audience
I hate that ONE time I found this in perfect quality , no bluish color, and cannot find it again! I would send to you for your collection....
The Best Norma!!!!!!
This is John Barrowman as Joe, right?
Oh, yes, it is!
Yes, saw this more than 20 times. Barrowman was a good Joe.
@@RoonJazz glad to hear that because I was surprisingly disappointed with him in this video. (I normally love him)

"With one look, I'll BAY MAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!"
Joe's voice is thin. Others sing it better. Buckley is the best Norma, hands down!
He really is so bad , so flat. I truly don't get it his success
