Betty Buckley is the best Broadway star that there is very very talented you either love her worship her or you don't know who she is she's that good people that have ever heard her love her I'm glad you're giving her what she deserves some more recognition.!
About 6 years ago, I really didn't know how to use Twitter, but evidently, I had decided to follow Betty ten years prior when I first set up my account. So...when I finally started using Twitter again, I commented on tweets in my feed without paying any attention to who posted them. As it turns out, most of those tweets were by Ms. Betty. For all the people out there who think she's kind and sweet, she is!!! After she realized I wasn't a nut, we dialogued and joked a little over our mutual contempt for a former president. Ms. Betty is a wonderful person and so amazingly talented.
I remember meeting her at the stage door of the Winter Garden theater when she was the queen of Broadway. I thanked her for taking the time to sign my playbill. She said thank you, but it’s either who should be thanking you… If it weren’t for you all coming to see me, I would be nothing.
Betty Buckley is one of my favorite performers. She has a stupendous voice and I never tire of hearing her sing out the familiar songs from her performances. Bravo Betty! Jenny
Saw EVERY Dolly. . Betty B trumped them all! One of the few performers that relishes the moment and never takes the stage for granted. Oh, how I wish I could have seen Drood. My best to her.
I had such a crush on Abby and then I was shocked when in high school I realized that was the same woman singing on my friend's CATS album we had been listening to all year! She's amazing and I could listen to her Broadway tales all day!
It's funny that she would do a Sondheim CD. I recall back in the 90's she made a CD titled Children Will Listen that had quite a few Sondheim songs on it. She once said in an interview that she had sent the CD to Sondheim and was perplexed why he'd never responded. Even when she did cabaret acts or concerts with Sondheim songs, she'd reach out to him with no response. Finally, one day years later she ran into him and asked him directly why he never responded to her CD or invitations to come to her concerts. She said he told her, "Because I don't like what you do to my songs." I was astonished that she admitted that. In essence, he didn't like how she interpreted his songs in jazzy arrangements and non-traditional deliveries that were so different from their original compositions. After that, she said she performed his work as written.
I agree that she sang the song the absolute best. But the overall performance as an old, bedraggled cat...Elaine. Betty's cat didn't look or seem nearly as pathetic...like a cat that should have died already. But her performance of the song? Flawless, unmatched. So both Betty and Elaine...THEE absolute best.
She's OK. Friends of mine met her multiple times and said she's incredibly obnoxious and so full of herself which is sad. I think that may have kept her from massive film success.
May she be with us until she's 100 years old. The world is much better with Betty Buckley in it.

I was blessed to see her in Cats and Sunset Blvd 🤗
Betty Buckley is a true artist. Super talented, very interesting, and still a beauty!
She's so charismatic and seems like the nicest and most interesting person ever.

It’s hard to believe she’s 75 years old. She still expresses herself like a young woman does.
And has the teeth of one too!
I’ll love her as Abby on Eight is enough….her voice is so beautiful, it makes me cry!

Our Texas Queen! We love Betty ❤️❤️
She's still so gorgeous.
Betty is a force of nature. Her “ EVE WAS WEAK’’might be one of the greatest songs in the history of Broadway.
Love. BETTY!!
Thank you and God bless dear Betty Buckley! Xxxooo

All the old school actors and actresses should come back and just teach all the modern day actors what acting is really about.
There are no words ))))

I really hope to see her perform in my lifetime! Damn poverty....
I had no idea! I just knew her from Carrie and Eight is Enough. 😳
I want her to tutor Linzi Hateley(I hope I got her last name right) to play Margaret for when Carrie returns to Broadway.
She was the best Grizella ever. She looked the best and sang the best. ( sorry Elaine )

Did she play the girls coach in Carrie?

In the film version of Carrie - she was Ms. Collins the PE teacher - yes! Carrie's Mom in the musical in NY
