I own an FF. Don't buy one on Collecting cars, there's a reason they're being sold on there. Find one privately that's been looked after. Don't be afraid of miles on these, the more they're used the happier they are.
@@SH7SH7SH7 They;ve generally reached a point at which they need some money spending on them to keep them in tip top condition and the owner is reluctant/unable. There is no reason not to move one of these through a dealer, but a dealer will only take a car on if they are sure it's not going to come back and bite them. Generally when the owner doesn't want to bring the cars upto saleable condition the dealers will then recommend collecting cars as a good outlet. Buyer beware. There are only a little over 200 FF's in the UK. Many of which will trade hands privately between to buyers who know the owner/car and how well it's been cared for. The buyer ownership pools of this car are small. So people will pay a premium for a very well cared for example. The stuff that arrives on Autotrader and Collecting Cars doesn't usually fall into this category, there are of course exceptions though.

Funnily enough, I saw the car for sale last night and was talking to my Dad about it as he is looking to buy a manual 360. I thought I recognised the number plate but didn't realise it was yours!
I know the 360 CS is Sam’s halo car but I wonder if he will ultimately be happy with it in the long run? His current manual 360 is a fully sorted and a wonderful car but I worry that a change to an early Ferrari automated manual gearbox will not provide the same sort of long term fun that the manual did for him.
Quite, the CS isn’t very suitable for long- distance road trips like he did with his 360 - unless he puts it on a truck to locations in Europe. Otherwise it will be confined to short U.K. drives.

I'm currently in the middle of my 1 month ban in Germany, also 1 month and 350euro, I got flashed in a similar situation to you. Just in case you don't know, they are not allowed to physically take your licenses which they won't necessarily tell you, so whatever you do, don't post them in. Send them a scan and the ban starts the day that they receive the email with the licenses.
If you’re looking into compact SUV Sam, i would reccomend Volvo XC60 T8, with the FourC chassis and B&W speakers, its really good. Get a Polestar tune to it for a better experience also.
Listening to the dumb speed laws in Europe, I am so glad I live in the US. The general rule of thumb in the US is whatever the posted speed limit pretty much everyone adds an additional 10 mph to it and the police will overlook it except perhaps in a school zone. Normally I am about 10 mph over. I am 53 years old and I have ZERO accidents or tickets in my life. I have a perfect driving record. The key to avoiding a speeding ticket when driving over the speed limit is making sure there is someone else on the road driving faster. Let them be the volunteer for the ticket. If I am driving 80 mph in a 70 mph zone and someone passes me at 85 mph, I am good. I keep going at 80 and no problems.
I am glad I live in Europe. My experience of driving across various parts of the US are poor driving standards, rage and viewing accidents. Police are a complete wild card, some love the car. Some are wanting to prove a point and once at night it was a gun toting cop who wanted to search the car. Each state has its quirks

I think Audi Q2 and Q3 are competitors to X2 and not Q4. Q4 is the same size as X1 (which has smaller designation number, but is bigger then X2). GLC is 30 cm longer then outgoing X2. Another X2 competitor is Cupra Formentor
Sam I got banned for totting up, last lot of points were 5 days away from the first 3 points dropping off. At that time I had my kids 3 and half days week, their school was 7 miles away, I needed to drive for work, other than the kids I lived alone in a village and needed to drive for work and still got banned for 6 months. Magistrate told me that my kids were young enough not to remember spending less time with me and I'd have to figure out how to avoid the £88 per day in taxis doing the school runs if I couldn't afford it and bite the bullet and deal with the 8 bus journeys per day with them instead. I hope your mum gets a slightly more understanding and compassionate magistrate than I did. For reference the only points I'd ever had were in that 3 year period and I'd been driving for 15 years. Unbelievable.

The X1 is not that small. Drove a rental one i Zurich and it was great. All the tech you need, great interior and lots of room. Is about the same size as last gen X3.
I was never a recast fan. I loved the patron. It worked well. Especially for the podcast recordings, the patrons got early access in and early podcast access. I would love a platform where we can all interact. Maybe a discord ?
350€‘S is cheap😂 In Norway you het 1200€ and loose your license for 6 months for that kind of speed😅. But you don’t loose your car nevertheless and we have GPS warning systems which are fairly accurate to where the police are out and about doing their thing. Good luck with your sale Sam btw. I would love to buy the 360. High mileage so no worries about using it. Comprehensive history etc but I feel your celeb status will put it way over what it’s really worth. I feel that dread you must have been feeling selling it. Not sure what I would do selling ma AM. I look at more modern stuff and I think I would just regret it even though it’s got a lot of it’s own “character” 🤣🤣
The 360 had its time 6 years of top content and you fulfilling your dream of ownership and restoration etc. I know you said about keeping it forever but I never think that's realistic unless your a millionaire etc. At least you properly owned the car unlike some others on youtube who say MY DREAM CAR hold it for a couple of months and then move it on. Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is the best supercar out there these days. Old school naturally aspirated V10 cant be beaten. Forget your 1000 bhp hybrid and EVs they are heavy and boring. Buy a fridge if you want a white good
Divorce changed and some would say wrecked my life. Not my choice and still regret it all these years, 18, later. Changes everything and far more than you expect. But selling a car, get real it's just a piece of metal and you have had a great time with it.
Mate it’s all in jest, don’t think it was meant to be that deep. Divorce sucks, but letting it define you is even worse, gotta keep it pushing and work on your own success.
A real disappointment that Sam has decided to sell the 360!! I am concerned as we have progressed the years on the journey, the ups & downs, the journey's, the costs, AV Engineering, DK Engineering...... It is the DNA of the Seen Through Glass channel & a couple of years ago Sam stated that "I will never sell my 360". A 360CS is a different car & I am sure Sam will find the right one, now he has good income from You Tube. It really feels like a "betrayal" of all of our support. 😞

Over 30 years ago when we lived in switzerland I was recorded doing 82Km/h in a tunnel with a limit of 80Km/h. A 40 SwFr fine followed.
You will never find a more satisfying car to drive then a 360 in manual especially a properly tuned one like yours
