does this make sence , sorry could not find email address .... Blaming Sections of the Public: A Historical and Contemporary Analysis Throughout history, there have been numerous instances where governments and leaders have blamed certain sections of the public for the country's failings. This tactic, often used to divert attention from systemic issues or to consolidate power, has had severe and sometimes tragic consequences for the targeted groups. Historical Examples Nazi Germany: Under Adolf Hitler, the Nazi regime frequently blamed Jews, communists, and other minority groups for Germany's economic and social problems. This scapegoating was used to justify discriminatory policies and the horrific persecution of these groups, ultimately leading to the Holocaust. Stalin's Soviet Union: Joseph Stalin's government often blamed "enemies of the people" for the country's difficulties. During the Great Purge, many individuals were accused of being counter-revolutionaries or spies, leading to widespread arrests, executions, and repression. Mao's China: During the Cultural Revolution, Mao Zedong's government blamed intellectuals, "bourgeois elements," and other groups for China's problems. This led to extensive persecution, violence, and the destruction of cultural heritage. Modern Examples: In more recent times, various governments have been accused of blaming certain groups for economic or social issues. For example, austerity measures in Europe have disproportionately affected vulnerable populations, with some governments suggesting that these groups are responsible for broader economic challenges. These historical examples show a pattern where leaders use scapegoating as a means to deflect criticism and maintain control, often with severe consequences for those targeted. Contemporary Context: The Current Government In the UK, the current government has faced criticism for its handling of various issues, including the cost of social and disability payments. Some argue that the government has, at times, shifted blame onto certain sectors of the public for the country's challenges. For instance, there have been concerns about the rising costs of disability benefits and social services, with suggestions from some officials that more stringent checks are needed to ensure claims are genuine. This approach can be seen as part of a broader tactic to divert attention from systemic problems and budget constraints. Critics argue that focusing on specific groups can lead to stigmatization and unfair treatment, rather than addressing the root causes of issues such as underfunding and economic inequality. Moreover, the effectiveness of reallocating funds from private schools to state schools, as proposed by the Labour Party, raises further questions. Historical attempts at similar reforms have shown mixed results. While the intention is to create a more equitable education system, the practical implementation can be challenging. Issues like overcrowded state schools, insufficient resources, and the potential disruption to students transitioning from private to state schools must be carefully managed to avoid unintended consequences. Conclusion The tactic of blaming sections of the public for a country's failings is not new. Historical and contemporary examples show that while it may serve short-term political goals, it often fails to address the underlying issues and can lead to significant harm. In the context of the current government's policies, it is essential to consider the broader implications and strive for solutions that address systemic problems without unfairly targeting vulnerable groups.

This is not an ordinary Labour government with its usual incompetence but without great malice. This one is completely different. Understanding of the actions and inactions of this government comes only with a realisation of what they are trying to achieve, which is the total breakdown of the "old order", family, community, country and all that these depend upon, amongst which are economic growth, affordable housing, law and order, a viable public health system and a strong military before the “new order” may be established. I leave others to imagine what form the ”new order” may take.

I ended up in court with a council on February and April of 2011. Following the humiliation of me proving their solicitors of entering false statements into the court record I ended up sitting in an office with one of their directors in March before the second hearing... long story short he stuttered out that he felt the council had not actually pursued all the avenues of communication they might have. I said no, the problem was I had been telling his people that since the June of the previous year. The blinkered sods in their arrogance literally are so used to not being challenged effectively they walked right into a complete farce. They wasted a lot of money and man hours and nobody was ever held to account.

Can sympathise about the bullishness of local authorities. I bought my first home which needed renovation, had a falling out with my neighbour where she removed a 10ft hedge while I was out of the country with work, she decided that she didn't like the height of a 5ft fence (which we agreed) I then put in (at my own expense). She complained about me to a friend on the council. They went through some items twice and even on our final meeting were reluctant to categorically let go of the fact that I indeed didn't need planning permission. Every government needs hard honest opposition.

The tories just as bad .
@anonnemo2504 What a load of plonkers! The countries above you, economically, to narrow the range and extent of the UK's demise, are those that trade with their local partners unlike your beloved Tories! Recessions are not instantaneous, they take time and lack of effort create, qualities the Tories have dispayed in abundance. "The adults come in and fixit" the adults have been in for the past 14 years ...plese explain your thnking?

More accurately, they are Oxygen thieves!
They’re a mouthy lot as well, so they probably use up more oxygen than normal folk

Did you win?
@LlamasOnMySofa good question... I am in Scotland so we came to a compromise... I allowed them to sist the case. It's like setting aside with attached conditions and unique to Scots civil law. My goal was damage control and I had learned from my initial head bumps with the office workers. The case went away, that was my win... their win was it wasn't a loss.
If you are interested I did blog about it based on the contemptuous notes I took during. Look up informed minds vs the judicial mafia. It's a WordPress.
@LlamasOnMySofa good question. I am in Scotland so I got to use a bit of damage control. I allowed them to sist the case, this is unique in Scottish civil law, alike to a set aside but with attached conditions where it may be brought back into the record.
I learned my lessons from my more aggressive confrontations with office workers and was happy to let them off and stop harrasing me. This was my win... theirs was simply that it technically wasn't a loss for them either.

I think we had worked that out.

They are psychopaths. Not deluded or stupid.
Both men and women could retire comfortably at 60 if the government wasn't squandering the taxes we paid in all our working lives.
Very true ..
Oh...but that would make our lives too comfortable! And, we would live longer???

The British tragedy of needing a VPN to freely speak on the internet.
95% Super Tax didn't work for Labour in the 1960's and 1970's either.
Wow, did they actually tax people that much?
@mrtayto4890 Yes, that's why the beatles, the rolling stones, and lots of other entertainers and wealthy people fled to the continent and went on tour overseas.
They had a 98% tax rate in the late sixties I believe, that’s why pop stars of the time relocated to the states

The government not seeing it is pretty much par for the course these days. What I can't believe is the number of the UK population who can't see it's the government's fault, whichever way you look at it.

A full-blown Recession is now unavoidable. Shop takings will be massively down this Christmas. Seemingly, Liebour's solution for a business that's in trouble would be to increase their prices.
The main shopping area near to us was today full of empty parking spaces. Recession incoming.
@@mightymike2192 without doubt
@@mightymike2192 When I went to our local Asda, I could barely move. There was a massive queue both going into the car park and leaving it. Every checkout had queues halfway up the aisles and you could barely move in store. Other supermarkets I drove past were the same so I guess they're doing well today
@@massmo2007 Supermarkets will be fine, although trolley prices have increased considerably for the amount of items in it. People will be buying food for the festive period or even doing their normal monthly shop, as many will have been paid last Friday, through to tomorrow.
It is the smaller and bespoke retailers that are suffering, their costs are going up, but income is going down, due to people spending less. In the case of certain bespoke retailers, a large number of their customers like to have that personal face to face service, feel the product, or it may be an item that cannot be sold online and delivered to your door, once they're gone, there usually isn't another willing to step in and take over or open a fresh shop, making those items guesswork, with a large percentage of returns or having to travel further to the next retailer.
The prices already are going up. I was in Tesco last night doing my weekly shop, and almost every item that I buy weekly had gone up - and not by just a penny or two here or there … ☹️

The Judge worded that perfectly.👍🇬🇧. Telling the people who snuck "Fatwa" into evidence that this had no bearing on the Judgement as UK law already considers the sanctity of Children's' lives. Basically: "you ain't gonna use this Judge to get Islamic law into common law"

This was as I expected, the tories did not deserve power, neither did Labour but people needed to vote and see for themselves.
A party bereft of anyone talented, run by a narcissistic leader who would crawl under any bar to be leader of the Labour party and on to be PM.
A customer complaints manager as chancellor, seriously if she is the best they have, the lack of talent was even worse than I expected.
Nearly every policy or directional step has been a big misstep. They went on about a black hole half of which they created with £9 Bn in public sector pay rises. They have talked down the economy so much the lost GDP is worth well over £50Bn alone compared to growth in the first half of 2024.
Things are going to get worse because most policies have to kick in and they continue to make ridiculously naive and stupid decision by appointing Peter Mandelson as ambassador to the US. They could not have picked a worse man, the Republicans will hate him, he is an EU man through and through and a polar opposite to those in power there.

Let’s postulate a theory on 2 tier:
Tier 1) Support for the Islamist cause
Tier 2) Degrading the indigenous people of the UK and the west in general.
If there any exceptions, how many and what are they?
If you can’t come up with any then it follows there is a strong truth value to the theory.
The cost of energy thanks to the Net Zero mandates it also increases the cost for business as well as their customers who will have less money to spend as they are giving it to the owners of the energy companies
Shocking Government totally out of their dept.
They claimed credit for the business get together early in the year which had been organised by the cons - it's a combination of "they have no shame" and also "we know people believe everything they read online".

Sirkere was not a good man -
He had his little ways.
And sometimes no one spoke to him
For days and days and days.
And men who came across him,
When walking in the town,
Gave him a supercilious stare,
Or passed with noses in the air -
And bad Sirkere stood dumbly there,
And let out a sad moan.
Sirkere was not a good man,
And no good friends had he.
He stayed in every afternoon…
But no one came to tea.
And, round about December,
The cards upon his shelf
Which wished him lots of ramadanas cheer,
And fortune in the coming year,
Were never from his near and dear,
But only from himself.

Imagine if we actually had a say in how our taxes were spent? The idea being we are told we will pay the rates we do now but we can pick which things out money goes on. I'd imagine our NHS, police and services would do well and benefits / foreign aid would not get enough to pay the people that administer it.
It effects charities too!
I'm 27, 28 years old next month, and I find it absolutely mind boggling that this isn't my first recession, either something mystical happened with regards to how economies function in the past two decades or it's time to flush the hypothetical turd instead of burying it under more of the same!
This government is not fit for purpose - they have no clue what the hell they are going - don’t think we will survive 4/5 years of this incompetence 😡😡

They are incompetent.
Hanlon’s razor. “Don’t attribute to malice what can be explained by simple stupidity.” But just how much stupidity can you credit this government with?
One thing that will never happen is starmer will never go back or be humble. The man (i know calling him a man is a bit of stretch) has no empathy, but thankfully he will be replaced soon, very soon hopefully.
Yes but he will be replaced with a different grifter running the same circus
I am old enough to remember when my dad, as a Principal in the Civil Service, spent hours preparing detailed answers for the Prime Minister to give in the House of Commons, at Prime Minister's Question Time.

The government? Ignorant? Deceptive? Well I never!
(For the record I did no building works, structural changes etc, it was new kitchen, bathroom, carpet etc)
What resulted was a 6 month battle to prove that I didn't need planning permission for anything I did. They went through some items twice and even on our final meeting were reluctant to categorically let go of the fact that I indeed didn't need planning permission.
Long story short you are completely correct that once they had an idea, despite all evidence to the contrary they refused to acknowledge they were wrong.
