This is true, not sure what it was exactly, just a combination of the carbon airbox and 9krpm flat six bouncing off the walls I think that hit the spot.
Fact that Luke had to delete, edit & re-upload 2 hours later over a minor redundant scene (11:52) is proof of how a perfectionist he is. This channel is 101%
Driving up a mountain road with everything around covered in snow with my friends, all driving high performance sports cars, is certainly a dream of my own. I am now able to live the dream atleast through your videos, Luke. Please, never stop doing what you do. You deserve all the praise and much, much more, and I hope you are able to reach even further than that.
Luke man you are the reason I drove 5 hours to go visit and drive on Susten pass last year in a little Fiat 500. Watching this video and remembering the roads is just awesome.
Controversial opinion but I reckon I'd take the Spyder RS over a GT3. What an utter masterpiece, and you've managed to showcase it better than I could possibly imagine. Might just be my favourite video of the year.
I love coming back to this film over and over again, for a motorcyclist there is no better compromise of sensations and emotions than a convertible roadster, and since it's all shown so well here, I can feel your emotions... bravo and bravo again
Man, in this video there is literally everything that i like. Three of my all time fav cars, snowy mountains and different people with different cars sharing their passion. Simply stunning!
Porsche are the Referenz in the Referenz Level 1!! No other car have a better Performance no other car can drive,City, road and race track! With this high end quality!!And this 718 ,look asome beautyfull!!
Love the MGB. I had a 67 MGB GT in british racing green for 3 years, which I sold last year to make room for the ultimate dream car, an ice green metallic 1977 Porsche 911S. The Porsche is a better car in every way possible, but the GT is such a fun car and I have so many great memories of that thing. I had to bump start mine frequently as well 😂
I recon they removed the barriers for winter closing so that the snow will not brake them. You could improve driving open by manually setting the heater facing to you and in the foot area with 25 degrees and ventilator on max.
I just did those three passes on October 19th (Süsten, Furka, Grimsel) with my 23 911 GTS that I picked up from Zuffenhausen. I live in the US, so this was a nice European Delivery trip. I saw a Spyder RS like this one at the Werksabholung building in Zuffenhausen, but was more interested in the 911 S/T they had. ;)
What a blast! Best roads, super nice Spyder, unbelievable weather with dry roads and fresh snow, the Stradale of Pierre and the very nice girl with the MG. Congratulations Luke 🙂
Guard railings have been removed so they don't get damaged by snow pressure or avalanches. Once drove over Grimselpass as one of the last cars before winter closure and it had no railings at all on the south side hairpins, not even the poles left like in this vid, which felt very odd (north side has mostly stone guards).
Ha yeah me personally I feel very ready for winter, something magical about it.

Luke, since your return I decided to go back and look at some vids, you exhibit such joy. Not to mention the cinematic verve for which you embrace, a collective demonstration of your talent. My very best to you in all your endeavors.
I drove a 968 into a snowstorm in the Rockies. Got about 10miles in, started sliding across the lanes and turned around. Was the scariest drive I've ever been on. Porsche on summer tires + snow = tight sphincter.
Pretty happy that I brought my car with me from Munich to Lisbon for my Erasmus semester, I won't have problems with my summer tires in the next months 🤓
My god the mountains look so scenic. I really need to drive back up there, its been way too long.Youre so lucky living that close to them. Jesus christ, watched the video twice, so nice! Love your work Luke, its amazing
Heated seats and steering wheel in the Spyder are key, and obviously the stick. I’ll put the RS on the rack when I find the right one and I’ll drool every time I look at the bucket seats but it will bring mileage anxiety. A spiced up manual Spyder (BMC’s OAP’s and Porsche’s valve program defeated) with 3 pedals and heated comfy seats is the best driving experience on offer today.
The future Mrs. Luke. I have a 981 Spyder and drive the hell out of it in the canyons. Never been jealous of the 982 versions till now. That engine is just special. Nice that you get to meet with a bunch of enthusiasts at the top too.
First Porsche driver to get frost bites while showing us the best roads in the world to drive. Amazing videography as usual Luke. RS Spyder is one to have if you have a GT3 Touring or a 992 S/T in your garage already. Thanks Luke!
Beautiful video! I had the pleasure of living in Bern for 4 years. In winter skiing. In summer the passes. Susten - Grimsel - Furka/Nufenen on the long summer evenings. Well, not the coming 8 months....
I remember a pass drive in Austria, where I thought I can still drive up although it started snowing. 3 curves later I just had spinning wheels in the snow (Boxster), and I couldn't continue one single meter....
After seeing your video I’ve changed my order from white to vanadium gray metallic. February delivery, I can’t wait!!! Thanks for the video. Keep the good work.
One of the best video from all of your best videos!!!! After watching I lowered my spyder from the lift (it was ready for a winter) , my son join me in M3 E93 with top down and we went for chill drive , it was epic . Thank you for pushing me for one more drive before winter. Epic video, epic drive !!!!
Man, with your top tier photography, and these amazing cars, this is probably one of if not the best car channel ever to hit UA-cam! Thank you so much for creating this amazing content Luke!
In 2007 or so in Massachusetts, it was 35 degrees out. First time ever I remember thinking I wasn't going to let that stop me from going out with the top down in a Boxster S. I put on a scarf and hat haha. It was brisk but fun.
I did hit a big stone in the exact corner at 8:22, few weeks ago with my front right wheel. No chance to see if you‘re going up there with 80. Tire preasure just lasted to Sustenbrüggli parking 😅 no more Susten this season, since it destoyed the hole tire incl. bending of the rim 😢
I'm German/American. The Swiss alpine roads are amazing! At the price point, I chose to buy a Lexus LC500 convertible instead. I could not get past the Porsche price tag, and manually removing and storing the top!
Hi Luke, Thanks a lot for creating and sharing your videos, this one in particular is really outstanding, what a car, what a road, and your emotions are very relatable. Looking forward to the winter videos that will be coming up soon! Best Louis
Enjoyed this day so much, and also was my first time driving susten pass which definitely did not disappoint what a place 🙌 your work is amazing luke as always 👏 looking forward to the next outing 😁
Supercool to see how conditions on Susten have changed since I was there 3 weeks ago. Great to hear the Spyder RS in action. What an epic car for Alpine passes. As always stellar video content from Luke.
Enjoyed every second of this video with the Scuderia and you blasting through the tunnels! Your content and video editing are just amazing, one of a kind and so beautiful! Keep doing what you do!
Coming from a previous convertible owner having to manual putt down the top is a big inconvenience especially when it comes to the amount of money being spent on the Porsche name
Wow this is a such an exciting movie. My dream car in a snowy pass with mervelous landscapes. Thank you so much to share that amazing moment. I swear I felt this emotion when you were riding up the pass. I want this car lol, I want it
Luke has a crush
Lol I was thinking the same.
I have a crush lol

I agree, summer time 981 Spyder, winter Model Y Performance. I’m a lucky guy to live in the mountains.
@@carswithlukeDon t Like the Video you Talk too much 😮😮😮 why you have Porsche if you Talk 😢😢😢

Personally I would take the GT3 for the engine and the normal 718 Spyder regarding the simple roof construction.
It’s the same engine.
That’s not really controversial. I’d do that too.
I would take the GT4RS over any other Porsche out there
In terms of desirability it's spyder rs > gt3 > gt4 rs > gt3 rs for me
Im so so sorry for the car enthusiasts that dont know about the existence of this channel, not a single video is just good, they are all perfection!
An almost 20min video from Luke that includes a whole lot of different cars?? YESSS PLEASE (and thank you!!!)
the scenery is straight out of a painting... add to that the beautiful cars, the noise, the people 🥰 what a life!
🙏😌
That girl was so fun. More videos like this please Luke. This was very entertaining to watch.
🙏
I own several amazing Porsches and added my Spyder RS to my collection just 5 days ago. I absolutely love it!
Same. It's so fun !
That moment when you realise you’ve ‘arrived’ and that life really doesn’t get any better than this! 👌🏻
🙏😌
That Exige is the hidden hero of this… lovely

The way the 4 liter inline 6 screams and breathes is amazing!! it sounds like its truly alive
It is!
Flat six!
The scenery, the car, the chilled drive... the colours of this video! It was magnificent!

One of the most fun and best visually pleasing high quality production videos ever on the channel. Love you since the early days of UA-cam man ❤
Appreciate it 🙏

Love seeing winter come in early in other parts of the world. We're still running the air conditioner here in So Cal but the cold is coming!
Ha yeah me personally I feel very ready for winter, something magical about it.

The Lotus and Scuderia in the tunnel are just vile! I love it!
I drove a 968 into a snowstorm in the Rockies. Got about 10miles in, started sliding across the lanes and turned around. Was the scariest drive I've ever been on. Porsche on summer tires + snow = tight sphincter.
The girl outshined the spyder, stunningly picturesque and captured JUST in time😅
Pretty happy that I brought my car with me from Munich to Lisbon for my Erasmus semester, I won't have problems with my summer tires in the next months 🤓

I put my Spyder away for the winter last week. Come March or April I'll get her out again and she'll eellike a new car again. I love my Porsche.🥶
Great drive Luke, that MG looked beautiful, many thanks.
MG bravery so cool
what a video !!!
Great quality and movie vibe
thank you for sharing this epic moment and scenery !!!
Waiting for this one! Cant wait to put on my headphones and get lost in that flat 6! ❤

It got snowy quickly. Cool car. Love the color.
It was such a cool frosty day ! Many laughs up there !
Sure was dude!
Those flyby shots with the hairpin and ending in the tunnel are genius!
Really nice & enjoyable video, the snowy views while driving up are amazing, that s worth living for !
I drive roof down all year around (Sweden) except for in rain/snow. Takes approx 1 sec (down, 2 sec up) in the soft top MX-5 ND2 😅
An open air car in those conditions is simply breath taking! keep up the great work!
the mountains where truly alive with the sound of music that day, also props on learning swiss german i find hoch german a chore sometimes in bavaria
Cheers and yeah I get by and can understand it fine
Amazing drive! Scary lack of barriers though!
Really love the yellow Scuderia!! Great content
What a video!!!
But can you make a video from the beautiful lotus?
One day I‘ll join you on one of those drives in my own Porsche
🙏
Luke Nirvana - doesn't get better than this!
That 924 looked very nice. Weirdly I think I'd rather have that or a 997 than the newer ones.
it's a 944..

this car looks gorgeous, perfect car for having some fun. the only thing i would change ist the black straps on the engine hood
Another masterpiece from Luke. To be honest i think these spyders are the sexiest cars released by Porsche nowadays.
can we take a moment to acknowledge how mint that MG is?
Loved the MG Girl
What a scenery bro, thanks for showing us the most beautiful video on the web

What an epic drive. I made that drive in June, it was beautiful, but oh how I’d like to see it with fresh snow!
🙏
Oh cool. I had an MGBGT in the late 1990s. It was great fun to drive. Not so fun with repairs.
Haha yeah so I hear!
Wow this is a such an exciting movie. My dream car in a snowy pass with mervelous landscapes. Thank you so much to share that amazing moment. I swear I felt this emotion when you were riding up the pass.
I want this car lol, I want it
Excellent video, bought back beautiful memories of driving those amazing mountain roads in a M5. Thanks for sharing.
Luke, how does it compare to your 981 Spyder manual experience?
Thank you! 👍👍
