Easy-to-follow textured knit baby blanket called Honeycomb Baby Blanket using Red Heart Super Saver. I've always been curious as I see this combination in mittens and hats at the local farmer's market. Was it that hard to do?
Just for fun, I wanted to try this for myself, and by gawd, it worked! I learned a few things in practicing the sample, including the neat Honeycomb Stitch and picking up side edging on the blanket.
The Red Heart Super Saver O'Go in rainbow colour is the same ball, and it appears from a distance like stained glass behind the white framing. It is a one-sided baby blanket, meaning the wrong side doesn't have a honeycomb appearance.
It was an easy-to-maintain pattern as a whole. I also learned that the honeycomb has tension, and Yarnspirations Design Team has us expanding the row before it starts to compensate for the tension. When you reach the other final side of the border, you decrease back down again.
This project would be an amazing heirloom blanket if you really wanted it to be.

You are awesome! This pattern is amazingly great and you are a great teacher that I can understand. I raise Bees and this will be perfect for my life and motif. 😄 I have crochet for years but knitting seemed like a foreign language. You have helped me believe in the process and I have so much more confidence. I am headed to the yarn stash and get started on this beautiful blanket!!! 🤪
I have never seen this method of cast on but I hate the guesswork of how much yarn to leave for long tail cast on methods and this eliminates that and gives a similar look. Can't wait to use it!
Way easier to do in my opinion.
I'm new so easier is better! 😉
Super cute blanket thank you mikey 👏amanda xx🌈
Love this pattern - thanks for the easy cast-on!
Such a lovely pattern, I used that type of pattern for a couple of childrens jumpers for christmas and they looked great
TRÈS JOLIE. MERCI BEAUCOUP 😊
That’s beautiful! Thank you!
Thank you for this😭 I have a book with this pattern and I’m part way through the first bit and I thought I was doing something wrong or that the pattern was misprinted. Glad it’s just me being impatient to see the results of the first comb😂
So pretty. Thanks Mikey :)
Thanks Mikey!
I know you want to make the make one easy, but you can pick it up with the right needle and then roll the needle around and knit through the back loop it is less cumbersome.
Love this❤❤❤❤
Hi! I’m trying to use this pattern for a cowl. How could you adjust this pattern for knitting in the round?
Do you think if I changed up to a larger needle size for the honeycomb section I could just cast on the full number of stitches and avoid the increase row ?
I really don't know that answer.
What is the stitch multiples so we can adjust the size please?
I tried figuring it out but I am not confident. So I prefer not to give a number so I don't mislead you as you will do a lot of work just to figure out I am wrong. I'm sorry.
@@TheCrochetCrowdok thankyou for the response
The pattern chart mentions it’s an 8 stitch repeat for the honeycombs, plus your edge stitches each side, I believe.
