Thanks for checking out my video. I disagree, respectfully. The aesthetic made it very difficult to want to take her story or message in. Every bit of symbolism that I’ve ever learned about would back up the differences between dark and light. She has a beautiful singing voice and I said so. And of course there was an artistic vision and performance. I made no comments about her morals. Just doing my thing and sharing my genuine reaction. No sugar-coating, no sucking up.
You said that Bambie doesn't represent the light, good, peace based on her pagan symbolism. That to me is a moral verdict. And you know they spoke up against the genocide of the Palestinian people. A performance in itself can't be evil . I was captivated by the movie silence of the lambs by Anthony Hopkins performance. The appreciation of the beauty,or aesthetic as you use is either redundant or to be found in how believable he was. I don't believe he was glorifying the character's actions. Similarly many war movies portray dark moments. They are not pro war. I approach from a position of non belief in any supernatural phenomenon. So good or evil is man-made. I try not to judge anyone for their beliefs but will say morality is a very individual philosophy and defining what exactly is the greater good is not so simplistic. You are however definitely attaching negativity and evil to Bambie the person based on your view of symbolism.
Love the song, performance and Bambie, it’s a character they are playing, they actually come across as the sweetest person in interviews. I saw them live in concert recently and it was phenomenal. But I love the music, Zombie cover was good but it’s a cover, checkout Love Bites, it beautiful, it shows a complete other side to them. They have versatility and are super talented!
Also, this song/performance isn’t about rape, I think it’s about them using their Queer identify as strength to banish their demons hence the reveal of the trans color towards the end.
Ok it’s not dark and evil, you didn’t listen to the lyrics. It’s about a toxic relationship. It’s pagan Irish symbolism, not dark, not evil. It’s bewildering to me you’d assume it’s evil.
Do you hold these views for fictional performances in film, theatre and TV or just musical performances? They're wearing a costume, performing a narrative and emoting an a way that supports the narrative. But it's not real. It's fictional. The aesthetic is based in paganism which is historical connected with the Irish people and our traditions and their are influences. The fact that you have been taught to view these things as negative is your issue, not Bambies.
Thank you for checking out my video and taking the time to comment. I’d venture to guess that most reaction channels feature opinions that vary wildly from your own.
I totally respect your opinion. But the vast majority of reaction videos don't vary much from Kevin's description. Hardly anyone felt there was something negative going on here because it is just a stage show.

Ugh I don't know what to think of this. The song is actually basically her cursing the man who had raped her. I'm sorry that happened to her and I like the experimental sound, but this is too dark. I do appreciate the incorporation of Irish/Celtic culture with some of the symbols and the Ogham script on her face. She is a really good singer and she has some really nice songs. I recommend you listen to her song "Love Bites". The weirdest thing was that in the end she came 6th with juries, 6th with televote and 6th overall. 6-6-6 😅🤦😂
Thank you for giving me some context. The song is even darker than I thought! I agree that she has an incredible voice...just from hearing one song. I'm saving her cover of The Cranberries "Zombie" for another reaction video. As for the 6-6-6...like I said, words and manifestations mean something 😳
Can’t believe there’s still people like you in this world.
She represents the ancient Irish religiom which worshipped Nature and the Universe. It's not Satanism.
You're giving a moral verdict instead of an artistic verdict.

It’s paganism not satanism gurl 😂
Ok, fine. Oh wait…I never said a word about satanism or any belief system. Still looks dark and evil to me.
paganizm yada satanizm çok farklı sanki hepsi şeytana tapıyor. cahil cahil konuşmayın.
