My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!
It didn’t look stable. 😂 I don’t have that exact model but my crescent slips out from under me in all types of water. I butt into a boulder I didn’t see (in flat water) and I flipped! And it has the transom for a trolling motor. 😂 no way
What a wild and crazy river ride with some wild and crazy guys !! You all will remember this trip for a lifetime. Each of you will have your selective moments, but the scenery is almost overwhelming to the mind. I think your level of tiredness will be considered well worth it once you have rested. I have only been to BSF once, many years ago, just for camping and squirrel hunting(the trees were so tall my 20 gauge couldn't knock 'em out of the tree tops). We went in at the McCreary Co., Ky. side. Thanks John for this video which profiles one of a few Wild rivers left, and just how beautiful our part of the world is ! Always be safe ! Pap Blevins
Dude I've rewatched this part a bunch now. 9:10 😂 That noise you made 😂 lol! I'm laughing with you. Man you TOOK off down that chute. That thing about swept your kayak out from under you. Man that was great. 😂😂 Lol
Your channel has been a huge blessing to me. I broke my hand the 18th of August, and cannot fish until it heals. I'm fishing vicariously through you, lol. Bless you, and keep crankin".
Are you kidding? I stopped fishing completely after I found John's channel and have been fishing vicariously through him ever since! It's a lot cheaper and you don't get any mosquito bites!
Now, that's what I call living!!! You made lots of great memories on that trip John! God was watching out for you guys. Thanks for sharing these great adventures!
Well it was good to see Alex and Josh again. The place looked amazing, and the fish were exciting and often it seemed. But it did look a little scary at times for sure. But overall, this was an eventful and fun video to watch, and I could only imagine what it was like for real. Thank you for bringing us on this amazing journey, and next time bring some arm floaties for Alex....LOL just kidding. GOD BLESS AND GO KATS!!!!!!!!!!
I've watched pretty much most of your videos and have followed your channel for years... this video is by far my favorite!!! Seeing you jump off that rock just took me back to my childhood at my grandparents creek in Manchester KY. Thanks so much for putting a smile on my face!!! Your adventures are awesome!!!
Wow! Alex's rollover (with PFD inflation) was strangely similar to my last video. Thankfully, no one got hurt and we recovered everything too. Keep up the great content!
Well I'm glad Alex got all of his gear back and no one got hurt on this adventure. It looked amazing and yal caught alot of fish. Great vid as always 👊👍.
Man that water looks great! I Stood in my Shoalie this morning here in Kentucky quite a bit to get more used to doing it. They're pretty stable but y'all were on a pretty gnarly creek lol. Reminded me of the time I fished down Chattahoochee and didn't know anything about it. Tell Alex thanks for reminding me to get floats for my rods and some leashes for my other stuff.
That was quite an adventure with a couple of really great guys. You probably slept really good that night. And that evening meal looked awesome. Thanks for sharing.
You gotta paddle through those rough sections! Paddling is the only thing keeping you headed where you want to go. Same with coming in on a wave in the surf, don't stop! There might be a section of the hooch that reminds me a bit of this!
I found myself at one point leaning forward in my chair, rocking trying to help you get over some of those rocks john, ridiculous huh? I guess i was just getti g into the video! Thanks for the hard work.
I noticed when I was up there in the mountains the rapids are sometimes impossible bc of the elevation change. My river is flatter so it's different. Going up I mean. You can go down unless it's like a waterfall of course.
You guys had a great time. Clear water, great friends. Beautiful country and Alex caught a real nice Smallmouth. Life doesn't get any better.... well at least not unless you remove a few rocks. lol
Amazing water to fish, great job presenting it! My season may be over this year, just finished a double spinal fusion with complications, but I can still walk! I have to experience those TN waters someday! God bless you and your friends!
The only way to have seen all the beauty was to go down it, those huge boulders was amazing, it was great & a lot of hard work, definitely not meant to go by yourself, glad you had some friends, I bet you slept good that night! 👍🎣
That was totally nuts! Gorgeous, but CRAZY! Not for me but it was amazing to see the handiwork of God even on video. In person that must have been breathtaking. You definitely will never forget this one! Be Blessed and please stay safe!
Love it man! One of your best videos ever. God created a beautiful place for y’all to enjoy and thank you for sharing with us. Talked about snakes at the beginning. Did you see any? God Bless you!
I have an Outcast pac 1000 one man pontoon boat, it's great for places like this! The drawback is it's harder to row against the current than a kayak, I also live in N. Florida so there's the gator vs inflatable issue, but I still use it and I'm still alive lol ..FishOn.....jimi
Your channel got mentioned today on Cole and Jay YT @9:00 while he’s creek fishing an urban creek. And @34:30. Always wondered if either of you watched the other. Should do a video together. 🎣
Me and my buddies have done some stupid stuff in the name of finding good (or better) fishing. We survived it, but YMMV any time you're out there in the wild places doing cool stuff. At least you guys are smart enough not to do it alone.
Having lived near the Rogue River in southern Oregon I know what those waters can do. At least there weren’t a lot of strainers. My shoulders are both too bad to handle hard paddling although it’s easier than rowing one of the one man pontoon boats. I’m fortunate now that I live next to a reservoir, actually a chain of them, all separated by power dams so the current isn’t too bad. In fact at times you can launch down river and take out upriver without much paddling.
I have a crescent kayak. It dumps me out all the time. Mine isn’t a fishing kayak. I was curious about the model y’all used. Now I see I need to look at at different brand. Your model slips out from after ya too.
Hey man, have you ever thought about buying a polarized lens for the camera? Won't affect normal shots very much at all, but it will elim. that glare issue when releasing. Just a thought. Loved the video.
This reminds me of the first real river float I did in a kayak. My wife and I were floating Crooked Creek in northern Arkansas, and I had a massively heavy kayak meant for lake fishing. My wife has terrible balance so I was pulling both of our kayaks. The river was far too low to float at that time so I was pretty much dragging for 8 hours on slick as snot rocks. We got stuck at a spot with really slick exposed bedrock. The only way you could keep your foot from going out from under you was to stick it in these little foot-sized holes in the bedrock. There I was, pushing my kayak under a tree, basically exhausted, and all the sudden something happened and I fell, then heard a "POP" in my leg and a searing pain. My first thought was "how am I going to get my wife out of here with a broken leg?" and her first thought was "how am I going to get him out of here with a broken leg?" After a few seconds I realized that it was not broken and that I had just pulled a muscle, which was a huge relief. We managed to find a spot with cell service and call the guy who moved our truck for us and he asked "how far past where the creek joins the river did you get" to which we replied "we didn't." We found a spot where he could come and get us and helped us load our kayaks and get out of there. I honestly haven't really done a float since. I've fished out of rivers plenty, either just walking it or going somewhere where I can paddle back to the ramp, but I'm a little freaked out after almost breaking my leg in the middle of nowhere when floating unfamiliar water. Going by myself is just intimidating after that, and I don't have any local friends that like to do that kind of thing. I love the idea of river floats, but am a little wigged out after that bad experience.

Greetings from Kansas USA. Glad you didn't lose lot of stuff or anything like that. Glad yall had a good time. I'm saving up for Kayak. :).
Absolutely incredible scenery!!!! What an adventure you had on this video buddy!! Thanks for all your hard work Jon!
Thanks Seth

There are a lot of streams in that area I want to explore more

Okay ... I’ve watched all three perspectives. Epic is all I can say. Tough and exhausting adventures with no death = epic.
Your channel has been a huge blessing to me.
I broke my hand the 18th of August, and cannot fish until it heals. I'm fishing vicariously through you, lol.

This is probably in my top 10 CFA videos of all time! Loved it! You definitely looked whooped by the end..
Our heatwave here in Arkansas will end next week. Then more fishing. Only get a cupple hrs in morning now
Now, that's what I call living!!! You made lots of great memories on that trip John! God was watching out for you guys. Thanks for sharing these great adventures!
Great video John the kayaking was get to watch. Really enjoyed this video Thanks!! from Drought stricken South Texas
Never up never in boys! 20-years from now you'll have this Kodak moment. Keep rock'in!
Beautiful country and fun times with friends. Priceless
John that truly was a "creek fishing adventure'! Those East Tennessee mountain streams are absolutely beautiful!
Looks like ya'll had a hell of a time but it was great to see ya'll exploring something I would never be able to. Great video!

Yeah that works but there were so many big boulders right in the path. Didn’t want to ruin or lose more stuff
It is really hard to judge how rough the water is from video. As rough as it looked, I would really like to try this section.
Epic video John. Everything about it was amazing.
What an amazing trip. You all had a great but rough day for sure. I guessed right Alex would flip at least once and hope he finally got to poop...LOL
That’s some work right there. Wow! Glad you all are safe! Quite the creek fishing adventure, living up to its name no doubt!
It sure looked beautiful there. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and your family and friends...🙏❤🙏❤🙏

Great scenery clear. Water looks like great time
Ohhh...the scenery came through alright! Trust me Bro, it came through Beautifully! 😁
I'm guessing this is the Obed? That is gnarly...you all should do a Big South Fork 2-3 day fish and float sometime...now that would be a adventure.
The real world. Thanks guys!!

Best video yet, if it was easy anyone could do it. Trails and tribulations produce endurance
That was one for the record books!! Next time you should do an over nighter and camp then paddle out the next day!? Always great stuff!!
Since I know my vehicle is good to go now I can make a trip up there sometime!! It did great in the mountains.

Beautiful place to be. Would love to do a camping float through there
John That looks like a great float to me, hardship, camaraderie, fish,Success!

Nice float! Three Shoalies! Cool!

No didn’t see a single one. Which was cazy

Like I said before.. don’t mind the rapids but not with all my gear!😳🤣 great vid!
That river can’t get much pressure. Enjoyed the watch

Yeah the funny thing was I was actually watching it before I knew. I watch their channel all the time

I rhino lined the underside of my kayak just so I can drag it without worry. You can get stuff you do at home and it works great

What river was this? South Fork of the Cumberland? Stunning scenery.
this is my home creek... literally in my back yard... you were less than 2 miles from my house right there
That was a trip of a lifetime great video
this was good - the viewers have no idea how it really is - the video does not do it justice
You know it. That’s always the hard part trying to make the viewers understand what it was like
Having lived near the Rogue River in southern Oregon I know what those waters can do. At least there weren’t a lot of strainers. Dude this is special!!! Glad you found it 🧡🧡
Beautiful stream!!
Big, carbonated swig followed by a hiccup. Me every time. 😂
it was some flavor of mtn dew and it had a good kick
That was definitely an Adventure.
That is a beautiful creek!!
Thats a fun float!
Great video that was a lot of work
John. What lures did you primarily use? Did yiu have to change lures often? How long without a bite do you go before changing lures typically?
I have a crescent kayak. It dumps me out all the time. Mine isn’t a fishing kayak. I was curious about the model y’all used. Now I see I need to look at at different brand. Your model slips out from after ya too.
crescent shoalie
Exactly you said it there at end just paddle through keep urself straight and lower seat u can run a lot of that buddy
We finally came to some easier ones toward the end
