  • In a blatant bid to battle the Europeans at their own ‘vertically integrated’ game, Cummins and Eaton have developed a linehaul powertrain package with the specific aim of delivering top fuel economy without any compromise on performance. It’s called ‘Cummins Integrated Power’ and early reports suggest it’s right on the money. It is, however, just the tip of the iceberg.

This K200 looks like a locomotive. 😎 I would prefer a manual shifter.

I found out about eaton transmissions when i bought an old wheel horse 314h for $300. I had been trying to buy it from a guy that moved here from Okeechobee for years. I hadn't heard of wheel horse before and when i fist saw it he was pulling an old ford truck bed that was converted into a trailer with a 300 gallon square water tank bolted in the bed. He was using it to haul water out to his vegetable garden/deer lure at the far end of the property, and yes it was slap full of water. He had to modify the hitch by welding gussets on it so it wouldn't just bend to the ground. Its hour gauge wasn't working back then (like 5 or 6 years ago) and its still stuck on 956 hours all I've done since i got it last year is put tires on it and change the motor oil . I also topped of the transmission it surprized me when I found out the Eaton 11 takes motor oil. The only thing that limits that mower is its weight when trying to go up a hill with 300 gallons of water but if somebody stands on the trailer tongue it will make it. I recently dragged a 20" diameter and about 8 or 9 foot log up from a creek bank there was quite a bit of snatching involved, but I had been trying to tear that thing up for years before I bout it and I don't think you can. I've owned 2 dodge 2500s i loved the cummins motors bit the transmissions on them trucks are the weakest link, so all that being said cummins took a step in the right direction and i hope they keep it up. All they need is a hell of a strong frame under an old 4x4 box chevy step-side style truck to be manufactured that's in need of a motor and transmission, oh and a good set of dana straight axles with the adjustable air ride so if you gotta move your double wide trailer to a new neighbor hood/trailer park. That would be one cum eaton bad mofokin b!tch🤤

Got a few Integrated Power trucks now and they are just fantastic. Better or same fuel than Actros 2658s we had, and with Hill Climb Assist drivers love it. Never going back.

I've been driving a 2017 4864fx western star with the ultra shift coupled to the dd15 and they've hit that nail on the head. In NZ with 50T loads up 10-13% gradients theres no need to touch the trans . Just leave it in Auto and it changes perfectly. Dosnt lug down too much . Just seems to always be in its optimum power same with downshifting on the Jake's it's just effortless

Worst automatic ever made....hands down......has been since the first gen auto 😂😂, I currently drive one in a 610 and cannot for the life of me work out how they are selling the bits of crap, its slaps and clunks more then I ever did with a stick and you have to ring it's kneck to make it move anywhere, dangerous when crossing major roads and damn near impossible to do safely, you can tell why 90% of buyers don't drive the things, they buy them off paper for fleets and don't care what the drivers want. If you want an auto buy Euro/mack because at least they work properly 😂👍👍🚛💨
