- We had a blast with our friends at the Eaton proving grounds in Marshall, Michigan testing out the all new Endurant XD Pro automated transmission.
As you will see, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive and we are convinced that this new transmission will be a game changer for the towing and recovery industry.

Love watching Ron Pratt Midwest Truck!!
I am sold
Good to see western market finally catch up to European market, for me I prefer standard forces me to be a lot more alert.
Fantastic video guys, great to see Ron outside of his channel! 💪⛓🪝
As a guy the generally prefers the standard transmission, this definitely looks like the game changer. I must agree with several of the guys there. Don't remember which guy there said it, but I can generally shift a standard trans as smoothly as an auto can shift itself.
That transmission seems badass!!! Watched Ron Pratts video on it. Super impressive!!!
Yeah, been watching Ron’s content for 4 years now coming up on 5, I’m impressed!
@@noahater5785 he’s a great operator
It’s fun seeing the fruits of my labor
Nice to hear from Lee Roberts.
Heck, even Ron’s son Ethan got in on this when he got to try out this transmission too, with supervision of course
They need to do some testing with a loaded smooth bore tanker. Much improvement is needed.
I saw when Ron Pratt posted his own videos of his experience and he backed up the one truck at what looked like 20+ MPH, which would be helpful for reaching the scene of a major highway incident. In this video Jeff Poquette from Southside Wrecker says "Automatics Only endorsement" at the 5 minute mark. What he metioned is actually a DMV License restriction as it states the driver is not allowed to drive a vehicle with a manual trasmission.
Yeah, even reversing UP A 15% GRADE loaded down to 145K lbs and the transmission didn’t even break a sweat!
This was the same cause Ron Pratt did a video on
I prefer the Allison transmission.
One question: how reliable are they?
I don’t think about it. For any driver worth a crap, it just comes naturally like riding a bike. 06:45
i bet by the 25k miles those trucks had been towed 2 to 3 times,,,,,,,,
Mr where do you live
That transmission sucks to work on. Automatics don't belong in semis
I’m retired now, but worked on Eton gearboxes since the 1970’s, they are still popular in the UK, ZF probably have the largest part of the UK market at the present time. 🇺🇸🇬🇧
