Thank you for another lovely visit with you! Enjoyed all that you talked about, and also enjoyed "being by the ocean" for a bit. How wonderful!

Thanks again Tracy!! We are in Utah now, which is gorgeous, and I’m also missing knitting by the ocean. Hope you have a chance to enjoy nature a bit wherever you are!

Hi Jessica. Congratulations on another great episode. Once again I really enjoyed the learning portion. And your Hipster Shawl is gorgeous 😍 thanks for mentioning me taking the video of you cutting the tassels, that was super fun! Looking forward to your next episode.

I am truly enjoying all the information you provide! The information on sheep breeds is interesting. The information on yarn brands is enlightening! What a lot of research you must do. It's interesting to hear all this information. (I love Marce's channel. Her voice is so soothing and her introspection on her crafts has me considering my knitting so differently. Her more recent videos of her fitness journey is also inspiring.)

Oh I so agree with you about Marce!!! I am inspired by her in so many ways, and just watched a video of her jumping onto a 3 foot box!!!! I'm grateful for this online community and opportunity to learn from each other. Happy knitting!

I'm so glad I've found your podcast! I just started knitting socks and am really looking forward to hearing more about how your experiment as going! I would love to participate but don't have a lot to contribute right now. I've been wanting to buy yarn from Woolly Mammoth Fiber company yarn and Woollentwine Fiber Company for a few months now and I think I'm going to do it! I recently purchased Prineville Yarn from Ewethful Fiber Mill that is an 80/20 Border Leicester (100% sourced from Oregon) that I'm excited to try.

Hi Nargis, and thanks for the note! I appreciate you sharing the yarn source as well- I’ll check them out! I came home to my Hearth Sock order from Woolly Mammoth- looking forward to trying it out myself too! Happy knitting, and thanks for watching!

I have just found your podcast and am going through the episodes.
I have had 4 major brain surgeries in the last 2 years, resulting initially in being unable to knit because of right hand side weakness. After being a prolific knitter for several years, I am now starting to knit them again. As I still cannot walk without a frame and adult by me or else have to be in a wheelchair, I am slowly doing my own sock project - mainly in finding patterns that are not too taxing because I have also experienced some cognitive problems. My main problem is with heels.
At the moment I am doing The Magic Heel by Judy of Autumn Acorn; I have made some 2 needle socks which were successful; my next challenge is try Tornado socks which are knitted on the bias and are meant to be well suited to people with disabilities.
The BFL comes from the town of Leicester, in Leicestershire. Have you thought of using pure wool from animal sanctuaries where the animals are not used for meat but allowed to live out their full lives? Doulton Border Leicesters do this and their wool is spun locally and in differing weights and dyed. My favourite is Hooligan Yarns which has a small output, undyed, from their rescued sheep. It might be something to add to your list.
OkoTex is very familiar to us on Europe as any certified yarn is always labelled.
Looking forward to more of your podcasts as I catch up.

Hi Jinny- thanks so much for sharing the idea to connect with some sanctuaries. The ones I know here in NY do not do this, but your note has encouraged me to search again. Kudos to you for finding ways to do what you love following your surgeries and problems, and I very much hope it is bringing you some comfort and joy! Happy knitting.

@@aconsideredcraft ups, a lot: Cedar Point by Espace Tricot ravel.me/cedar-point, Blanejakke by Tina Hauglund in the long version ravel.me/blanejakke, Kari Shawl by Sari Nordlund ravel.me/kari-shawl and a large blanket with a beautyful lace pattern. And in a few minutes I will cast on the Stellen socks by Kino Knits ravel.me/stellen. Just have to wind up the yarn, all 100% naturally. I´m very interested in your sock-experiment - one pair of 100% naturally socks I owe yet and I love them so much! All the best wishes to you!!
