Summary for the game I like great amounts of it but now that its here on the PS4 it also brings some issues I never expected to show up sadly. A bit hit and miss

I picked this up on Friday, i'm about 10 hours in and it's a blast. I loved DR1 and 2 but didn't like 3. Your review totally sold me on getting this for PS4. Cheers!
Sometimes you want to run away from a single enemy, scavenging for anmo, hoping there isn’t anything behind that next door. Other times, you just want to dominate tens of thousands of undead, blowing shit up, chopping off heads, and flame throwing entire crowds of moaning zombies. This game NEVER takes itself seriously. Too many try to, especially when they shouldn’t....it can break a game for me.
I would be tempted to pick this one up, especially with the lower price point. Its cool to play as Viewtiful Joe, Cammy, Mega Man, etc. On top of that, all of the DLC and extra content is included which is a major plus. However, I will be waiting for the price to drop a bit more due to the game's bugs and glitches. Of course, I can buy Dead Rising 4 (standard version) for a much cheaper price. With that aside, thanks Karak for another awesome review. Thanks for being the best reviewer on UA-cam!
I know that they will never go back to the way 1 and 2 were, but discovering all the survivors and everything being time based was awesome. They were to me almost more of a strategy game, based on trying to put together a perfect run. Figuring out what when and what order and how many survivors to collect before turning them in, where all the useful items and shortcuts were and how/when to use them, when to kill the psychos, and also where/when to grind for XP when time permitted.

Didn't see it mentioned, but his item pop and drop in Capcom Heroes is probably a reference or a joke on his gameplay in the Marvel vs Capcom games where he does the same thing.
Yeah, like it makes sense as an in-joke, but the heroes' gameplay doesn't look at fun as like MvC:I, even if the stuff like the Hurricane Kick, I imagine, feels fun as hell.
Will buy in when in sale. Still got a huge backlog, but i always enjoyed the Dead Rising games. Too bad they are timed exclusive. Think the developer will miss out on it.

So they Add classic Dante to this game. A classic Frank costume, and then classic Frank with the old voice actor in Marvel Vs Capcom (The older voice actor makes sense because they probably couldn't get him for DR4 due to the strike. Or Capcom Vancouver wanted their own Frank, but Capcom didn't.).
Anyone else noticing some very obvious input delay or deadzone issues with nearly everything in the game? It's incredibly noticeable when aiming and it just feels horrible. Such a shame. It's my only real problem with the game but it's bad enough that it's making the game unplayable. Camera movement feels so choppy and jerky when it's not moving exactly as you'd have it.
Not having the original voice for Frank sucked, but what is fucking stupid is they couldn't even make him look like Frank. Like how fucking hard would that have been???!

I honestly really love this game, it’s really fun to play and just fun to explore, and the story isn’t bad if you actually play the whole game plus the dlc it’s quite good. Of course it’s not perfection but hey at least it doesn’t have loot box’s. So maybe in the future they will make the deadrising the fans want
I really dug Dead Rising 3, wish you could’ve played as Nick Ramos’s friend the shop owner, can’t remember her name but she had the rockabilly look and the tats, she was hot.
I am really curious why the ps4 versions of games are often the ones with more input delay. I wonder if its a 'global' problem or if all these devs just happen to have unique issues with the ps4/input delay. Excellent review btw, very few game reviews do it for me nowadays but with yours its always very clear how/why you came to the conclusions you came and I very much appreciate that. Most game reviews usually leave me with more questions about the person reviewing the game than knowledge about the game itself or dont tell me anything I couldnt have known from looking at the back of the box. Its generally why I almost exclusively watch/read/listen to long form analyses'/critiques instead. How you manage to make reviews of nearly every major release in a timely fashion while also keeping the quality this high is honestly mind blowing to me. Kudos.

i love the dead rising games and im enjoying dead rising 4 for what it is its not amazing but its got a interesting story and fun gameplay but i do hope tho that dead rising 5 is better for me dead 4 is way better then 3 but not as good as 1 and 2
I do prefer the urgency of the first 2 than the random lols zombie slasher that it has come. You can't say you don't miss being able to pick up any object and throw them at a zombies head?

I was worried this game would be too overly goofy, too over the top overpowered and too easy to enjoy but it looks like it might possibly be worth a try.
This game is incredibly streamlined and lame compared to the other ones. I'll wait until it's 20 bucks or something. Have some stuff in my backlog anyway
