they should seriously protect these artists more. safety pin zippers together, sew it in, help secure them. it could be a disaster. thankfully these artists are incredible and are so professional. women have to wear these tight, short, uncomfortable outfits with HEELS-so people should respect their effort. if you’ve ever danced in heels-you’d know the strength and coordination it takes. PROFESSIONAL WOMEN BOSSES.
Well the Idol's don't know what they're going to Wear Until the Show, that and a lot of the time the Clothing is Sponsored so they can only do so much. But I agree with you 100%.
As we can see, this commonly happens when outfits are made for the girls instead of a stylist putting together a stage outfit out of already existing clothing which is much more durable. Getting custom outfits made is actually much cheaper than putting together outfits from actual clothes. I get the need to go that route with smaller, less successful groups but it’s sad that twice doesn’t get funded enough to get better styling
I wonder how stylists do not even test these things. I mean most of the outfits were too tight for the performance or there was something heavy like Suzys dress strap (idk if this is the correct word xD) or Joys mic pack... also weirdly it's mostly girls experiencing major malfunctions... not to disrespect the boy idols but give the girls comfortable clothes too
Seriously though, stylists need to invest in safety pins. Pin bodycon dresses down to the safety shorts so they don't ride up, pin halter tops and tying tops where it connects so even if it does come undone it's still reinforced, even pin belts/neckties down so they don't move around. If I can figure out how to do that for my mediocre covers, then SURELY a professional stylist can do it too.
A lot of times the clothes are rented so they can't give the artists the clothes to try it on before a performance or they just don't have time for a fitting to see if it fits properly. They get the clothes on the day they will perform :( Even though by now stylists should've learned that they should put safety pins or something onto the clothes just to be sure nothing happens. Even if they think nothing will happen they stll should add something.
I performed dancing before, and there are times that we just dance too hard and break the costume(because when rehearsals and practises we don't usually wear what we need to wear during performances, we only wear it when final rehearsal and when trying the sizes... Oh and maybe because we are helping each other safety pin stuff and we are not that familiar or whatsoever, I get stabbed by the safety pin during the performance, and I need to bear with it until the performance ended, and I need to lay my back down, which is basically lying on top of that poked out pin on my waist, and it is quite a bad experience.) But I think for the halter tops, the stylist may consider sewing it up because pins are definitely not strong enough to hold that, and it got that risk of poking people.
As long as the outfit makes them look hot and sexy then I agree. If you mean you want the girls to wear baggy clothes like a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt then you're going to be out of luck.
Things like this can be avoided if the stylists used more care and actually cared about what they do. I would literally start panicking, their true professionals
The stylists behave like they don’t have enough money to buy clothes when it comes to female idols like bruh what. And if a male idols abs just get flashed a little bit in dance practices they cover it with stickers or writings bruhhh whattt.
Sometimes stylists gets really few time to style clothes for artists especially when there are many of them I mean at what point do you tell yourself "everybody will see the clothes i designed so I'm gonna sew them badly and screw it" like, i dont think its an easy job and I would like to see people criticizing do better because most of the time
@@astwicefan5254 The vast majority of the outfits idols wear are rented, not designed/made by the stylists themselves. Stylists only select pieces, pair them together, and put them on the idol. So if the outfit is falling apart, it is because the stylist did not do a good job
2:40 Momo being able to dance flawlessly even with a wardrobe malfunction 🤯 She's such a professional, I hope that won't happen again 🤞 All of these girls needs safer and better outfits, imagine performing to hundreds or thousands of people with a wardrobe malfunction, I can't even imagine myself being in that particular situation, props to these girls for handling it professionally!
Kpop idols have so much on their plate: rehearsals, shootings, practice, recording, performing and so much more, can’t their stylists at least do something right to not make idols worry about outfits when performing? It’s a simple task 😔
poor momo having so many wardrobe malfunctions but she did an awesome job handling with them all this is why i love momo shes my 2nd fav twice member and deserves the world💕💍
5:37 expertly caught, if there were no one repeating the clips over and over to find these things, we would have not known about them because even if you watch your favorite member, you wouldn't know it happened. You will notice her necklace disappeared at some point and will wonder when it happened tho, but the majority of people who wonders where her necklace went will experience the mandella effect
I've heard where the stylists claim they can't get clothes til the day of which is BOGUS + there needs to be a dress rehearsal BEFORE they go onstage to make sure it's danceable. If you can't do your job STYLISTS you should be FIRED!
Woohee from Dal Shabet also suffered a wardrobe malfunction during one performance of "Be Ambitious" at SBS Inkigayo (the same performance where they had to modify the lyrics) but pretended like nothing happened and went on with the performance
Literally, only male idols get comfortable clothes, Female Idols should also get comfortable clothes. One of the main reasons (why I don't stan any boy group of any male soloist)
Well they're men what do you expect? The things they just wear are pants/slacks/sleeves/hoodies/suits/shirts/blazers/shorts/denim/cardigan/etc and they are all comfort clothes, what do you expect them to wear? Dresses?? Plus it's not the male idols' fault, blame it to the stylist to do their job better.
Seriously the stylists for KPOP girl groups over the years have only cared for the looks and how tight fitting they are on the girl's body. They don't care about the comfort or intensity of the choreos that may cause the clothing to fall off. They only care for the fashion part. Good thing is, no one is getting scolded for holding onto their clothing while performing. But they seriously need to do a better job securing the clothing article to prevent these incidents from happening. The halter neck dress/shirts are the more common accidents because of how lightly secured they are. They should have changed them to pop buttons instead of actual buttons or secure them with bobby pins. Not as if people will look that closely to the back of their neck. The girl's hair usually is covering it. Just something to make sure it doesn't fall off. These clothing aren't really meant for such intense movement like dancing. Or they just suck at giving clothing to the correct people as we can see with Momo having A LOT of malfunctions. You would think they would triple check and secure her clothing after how many times her clothing came off. Zippers are a pain. I've had my sport bra zipper be perfectly fine for majority of my workout and then suddenly it unzips on itself (the zip is in the front not the back). They can seriously put a pin right under the zipper to prevent it from unzipping or something. Where they zip, button, tie, the clothing article to the girls are usually in the back. Who cares if it is noticed that a pin is sticking from their clothing? Prefer that over them being embarrassed from stupid stylist insistence of wearing the clothes that isn't really movement friendly.
Actually, there is a fastening device... I don't know it's name, but it's a very small thing made of wire which has two parts, one is like a hook and the other is like a loop, and you just sew them on either side of the opening... They're actually like what bras have. Many dresses and skirts have that at the top of the zipper for security. They cost something like half a dollar for a box of 20, so they could sew them to the singers' clothing items where needed. They're safer than bobby pins too, because those can snap open and hurt them.
@@dahyimi2185 They're called hook and eye fasteners, and they're not a solution. First of all, unless they're large or made of thick wire, they're pretty bad at staying shut. They get bent out of shape just enough that they get prone to unfastening, especially when under stress (e.g. the movements from dancing). Secondly, most of the outfits that idols wear are rented, so stylists can't permanently modify them. That's why safety pins are the better choice
