I am very impressed by the lenght of Thameslink trains: Class 70xxx has got mpre often than not 12 coaches, it is quite unusiual in the Continent, where trains are generally shorter
I got a tad bit of bothering by the staff whilst here so I would go armed with Arriva Rail London website since the staff always ask what your doing www.arrivaraillondon.co.uk/news/filming-on-the-london-overground The last paragraph is like gold dust 😃
Does Thameslink sometimes stop at Norwood Junction. Or is it mainly Southern and London Overground trains that stop at Norwood Junction. With Thameslink trains passing through. And I do think that Southern should keep the Class 171 Turbostars but to replace the Class 455 used on the suburban services and the Class 313 used on the East Coastway Line and West Coastway Line services.
Class 171s are Diesel and 313s and 455s are electric... Southern will more likely order a new rolling stock (most likely Desiro City or Aventra trains) to replace Class 313s and 455s

I'll answer that question in two parts; Firstly, it was a gloriously warm day and I was surrounded by trains (whats not to love!). Secondly; the staff bothered my twice during my visit which isn't a problem (I get it a lot) but I've had a much better experience at more rural stations where I can relax. Overall, I would agree with you, I think it is one of the more nicer places I've been. Thanks 😊

there usually isn’t space at the platforms for another service to terminate at dorking. there are currently only 1 train a day in each direction that actually do this.

Thanks Joel. Fear not, I will provide you with some intel! Most of the south east of England has '3rd rail' powered trains which literally means a third rail adjacent to the running rail powers trains with 750V DC. So you were right, they are still electric! The 700s (and some 378s) are dual powered but thats not very useful without overhead wires 😃

Good video, I haven’t been on this line before, the only train in this entire video I’ve been in is the 700.
Those 700s are so long, probably the longest metal centipedes in the UK.

I don’t understand why they only operate London Bridge to Epsom I don’t get why they can’t continue on to Dorking or Horsham
