My proud bathroom moment was now when I realized Alexandra chose my EXACT bathroom curtain for this makeover and then said she was obsessed with it!
Was considering replacing it (because I was struggling to decorate the rest of the bathroom to match) but now I know what to do!!! Haha! Crazy!!!

Yes! Like the one Alexandra has in her own bathroom - narrow and thin but still hides the things so they don’t get dusty or wet from the shower steam 😃 I love the shower curtain though! Such a great way to make the whole bathroom look very decorated, even without prints on the wall or plants 😍
Remember that shelf Katie had in her entryway that Alexandra replaced with the console table? It was brown and meant to fit over the toilet? I would have reused that in here. With a few coats of paint it would have worked fine. I don’t personally care for the towels on the ladder. I would have found a small shelf or chest of drawers instead. But, to each her own. 🌹
@@sharong8511 .... I agree..... I thought about that. And I'm really weary of all these plants she uses .... It's nice to have a little greenery, but it's not a necessity in EVERY room.
Alexandra is definitely minamalist with the shelving, but I like the ladder. Notice that it is bamboo which is perfect for the damp area.
i love my hanging eucalyptus in the shower. i dont get a lot of light in my bathroom [not one window] so adding dried flowers gives the space more life and it smells amazing during my showers and hot baths

There are plenty of household plants that thrive in shade! Pathos is one no need to get fake plants !
I like the eucalyptus idea. I put dried greens in one of my windowless bathrooms.

That mirror is friggin' awesome. Finally some designer got smart and created storage behind a mirror without cutting a big rectangle in the dry wall, plus this brings the mirror a bit closer to the user's face when applying makeup or shaving.
I agree with the comments about the mirror. Love the round mirror but too hard to get things out of there. Ditch the ladder and put a towel rack on the back of the door. Put a small cabinet or shelves where the ladder was for a lot more storage of beauty supplies etc. The ladder made it feel clausterphobic!
The *only* thing is that she needed a hand towel situation --otherwise your guests use your bath towels to dry their hands.

Have to admit...I was so hoping there would be a clever solution for the plunger but, no. I'd like to see a bathroom makeover where the challenge is to get everything back in the room that was there before, only make it look way better. This is really pretty, but not sure it's day-to-day practical.

That mirror with storage in the back would ne stressful from day to day. You can't see what you're reaching for.
I was hoping she had painted the bathroom cabinet that was in the living area and put it over the toilet where it was made to go. Could have used white or even a shade of the pink she used on the walls. I agree, not enough storage.
Another very nice makeover with challenging spaces. You also could have taken the black cabinet that was by her entry way and placed it where the ladder went, for extra storage. Also, my bathrooms have no windows, but I have thriving living plants in both of them. I exchange them weekly with another similar plant from a bright area. Seems to be working just fine.
I love this transformation!!! IMHO I would just switch that leader with some cute shelving unit for more storage.
I love it but may b sometime in future you could experiment with some different colour and style. Because its always same pink tone colours and boho designs if possible only i m just suggesting. Love from india!!
I love her channel and watch every single video, but she is really starting to become a one trick pony. I've lost count of how many times she's used this shade of pink! I would like to see her challenge herself and get out of her comfort zone a bit more

lichi meniya gosh, it’s almost like like she has an aesthetic and brand, and the client (gasp!) ASKED her to design in that aesthetic for a reason! Do you go to skincare UA-cam channels and complain that they don’t do fashion? Or go to a Toyota dealer and call them a “one trick pony” because they don’t sell Honda?
Cute. Personally white floating shelves would be a cleaner look: the ladder makes it look cluttered. Large patterned shower curtain makes space look smaller too.
.... I agree, I use solid colour shower curtains , but I have a collection, I change out seasonally....

Shower curtains are such a statement piece for a bathroom. I have a target one from the kid's section that I love. It has moon phases on it. so you get to learn as you do your business lol.

Toilet seat down at all times. Christina Haftmann is correct. The best plant is Pothos. It'll grow in any light. Cute bathroom. 😍
I think a huge mirror cabinet would be better above the sink. If it was large it would probably look more like a built in. And also reflect light.
& You should have added a hanging basket/shelf above the toilet or above the door. To put her towels there.
Love this bathroom makeover, loving the new pink color. That mirror is so clever, to look at it you would never guess that it has storage hidden behind it. That shower curtain is so colorful and really makes the bathroom pop. Thanks for this video to complete her whole apartment.
I've done three bathroom paint projects ( cabinets ) and I used ASCP for the base, no bleed through and no oil painting. Let that cure, ( the chalk paint) LIGHTLY sand ( hand sand ) if needed and proceed. I use the paint formula made just for Bathrooms and Kitchens, it stands up to moisture/ mold/ etc. In a satin , gives a beautiful finish on the cabinets. I did this for a living, I used to paint interiors/ furniture/ etc.
I’m in love with that shower curtain! I’m not mad about the mirror with storage behind, it looks a bit fiddly. I think it might drive me mad ! 😋 Everything else was beautiful.
Some little acrylic bins could be added to the shelves behind the middle to increase ease of use and accessibility.
My husband is a very serious guy, but he loves the clear shower curtain w happy yellow rubber duckies all over it that I put up in our bathroom. :)
Always keep the toilet lid closed! It's a basic teaching of feng shui: 1) lids keep unpleasand odors and gases away 2) keeping the lid open means money goes down the drain! Drains always need to be as closed as possible. Ancient wisdom is quite wise.
Christina Haftmann umm the invention of the U-bend is actually what keeps gases from escaping.
People may make fun of the concept of feng shui but my husband doubled his salary when he left his bachelor ways (bad feng shui) and moved in with me (good feng shui). He always told everyone that closing the toilet lid changed his life!

Sure _the way_ you live does. And two people may live very different lives with both having lid up, or down.
I'm just against making unsubstantiated claims, especially when they have victim blaming as implication: Outcome of your lives are _totally_ under your control. You could _definitely_ have more money if you'd always keep the lid closed. Still no change? There has to be some "energy" stuff you're doing wrong.
Any serious research behind that kind of thinking? Nope.
Do yourself a favor and look into some woo debunking - scientific approach. Because this way of thinking (beliefs) can cause you to do harm to yourself or your loved ones if it comes to making say health related decision...

I love the ladder hack. It transformed that space into something organic and cozy. These tiniest of things make such a huge difference.

Hopefully she flushes with the seat down, because those towels next to the toilet kinda grosses me out...thinking of the germs that fly into the air with flushing. Love the bathroom though, so lovely!

That is why you are suppose to close the lid after you flush.
It cuts down the germs a lot but doesn’t stop them entirely.
"No storage" bathroom - except for the enormous cabinet under the sink, and then you put up a wall mirror shelf unit?!
I don't have a fitted cabinet in my bathroom and all the walls are tiled, so I can't drill into them. And I can't put over-toilet shelves because of the awkward plumbing pipes everywhere.
Could you do a real "no storage" bathroom one day? With ideas for totally removable storage? Thank you
I don't think she has any because this still is a no storage bathroom.
It did have a big old cabinet, some bathrooms have nothing. I did like the mirror solution to add some storage though.
Maybe a tall, standing bathroom cabinet? Takes a small amount of floor space and if it’s tall then it can store a lot of your cosmetic products, towels and extras like cleaning supplies or toilet paper 😊 there is a cool one in Ikea with a mirror door so you have also a full-body sized mirror combined with it 👍🏻 on the top of it an extra basket for rarely used things, or if it’s on „legs” then another basket underneath 😊
Command (Hooks) makes sticky shower shelves that are made to stay up in a slick environment until you want to remove them. I bet they would work on your tile walls to give you some storage.
I'm in the same situation as you. Tiny bathroom with no sink storage and completely tiled walls. Also can't manage to fit an over-toilet shelf in. I was hoping this video would have some solutions for me haha.
There are so many plants that do well with little to no light! The faux plant is killing me!

I have to say I am OBSESSED with this bathroom. It is my dream bathroom. That pink is just the best shade of pink I have seen. I think my prized piece of bathroom decor would have to be the birthday card my sister made me (which I ended up putting in a frame), it is three girls heads with all different hair up in scrunchies. I also got scrunchies that year. It's the best!!

Alexandra I love youuu BUT I personally not cluttered but a normal day need a little more functionality than that!! I need where to put toilet paper, to have extra toilet paper rolls, my dry bath towels, a hand towel, a small caddy for the cleaning supplies, medical kit and a RUG. This is the minimum. Also, a ladder looks nice, but who has time to carefully put those two towels on it nicely. Rolling or folding would be quicker. The mirror looks so pretty, but its obvious that she will struggle finding things there. There are some nice option that could've been hang on the wall for the toothbrush and toothpaste at least, soap dispenser. Or just a little caddy that hangs over the cabinet door from the inside. Anyway the bathroom looks beautiful, i just ask for more practicality since we re talking studio fix.
My favorite thing I did in my bathroom was hanging an ornate pot rack above the garden bathtub. From the pot hooks, I have multiple hanging plants, and the shelf above houses more plants. The space has a separate shower and a huge east facing window, so this makes a perfect little greenhouse area. It is also delightful to feel the plants brush your skin while getting in and out of the bath. 🌿🛁🧼

Mirror idea looks good, but storage behind it is IMPRACTICAL if you need access to any items on a regular basis. The shape works, but it should open like a normal cabinet 😊
I consider myself quite clever for my bathroom artwork solution - when I was in France I found a bunch of plastic place mats with beautiful art prints on them at an outdoor market. So one is now hanging in my bathroom. :)

Alexandra - love your videos. So many great ideas! As a self-proclaimed crazy plant lady, I wanted to suggest the use of an air plant (or several) in a bathroom like this. It looks like there's a window for natural light, and the air plant would love the steam from showers. You could even hang some right next to the window in the shower area itself.
My most prized decorative moment is purchasing a gallery shelf from Ikea and storing all of my beauty stuff on it. The shelf is white, about 18 in long and 3 in wide. It has a lip on it so things don’t fall off.
Looks great. I never would have thought a bright, bold shower curtain would be the way to go. I thought it would make a small space feel smaller. Great job!

Instead of the faux plant in the bathroom, you could use a small eucalyptus bush. You can hang them just like the faux planter, and they vine out. They are a nice clean fragrance and inexpensive so they can be replaced easily every few months.
Best bathroom moment... light bisque/cream damask wall tile... also, watercolor of violets.
Good hair day 🤩 One of the perks of aging is I can skip a wash and my hair looks great. If I didn't shampoo every day when I was younger I felt icky all over.
I think this is an aesthetically gorgeous bathroom that would work really well as a guest bathroom or for an air bnb, maybe if you have other bathrooms in your home, but I really don’t think it would be very functional as your sole bathroom, especially in a studio apartment which already has so little storage. It’s gorgeous, but just wouldn’t work for day to day life. It’s really not that small of a bathroom, and there were plenty of options for adding TONS of really cool storage, probably even enough to bring in some things that didn’t fit in the rest of the house. I also really would’ve liked to see something to emphasize that tall ceiling... sewing two shower curtains together maybe? Idk how that would look though, it would have to be a more subtle print. It’s beautiful overall, I just would have done it differently, which is completely fine! Everyone does things differently. Sorry if this came off as me bashing😅

Love the shower curtain and paint color. Hate the too small prints and that shelf is basically worthless. Ladder is nice idea, but arrange the towels differently.
The mirror makes no sense. It's hard to see the products and you possibly also have to take products out before you can get to the one you want behind it. Nice but not practical at all.

Small spaces = can’t be picky. I don’t disagree with you but I don’t think it’s as bad as you make it out to be.
I think Alexandra is just showing options. She does so many makeovers, who would watch if they were all the same? So here she shows an alternative storage mirror. Last video people didn't like the hanging shelf because it could tip, BUT it is a different option and someone might like it because they will put stuff on it that won't be touched so tipping isn't an issue. It's about showing what's available out there and how it can look good in a space.
I think it is about options with Alexandra. We wouldn't watch if every bathroom mirror was the same. She shows us what's out there and some people will love it. Others will know they DON'T want that option, but now we know this kind exists.
Maybe getting an organizer container like she showes later? Get the aesthetic and function with a bit of altering

Love the makeover. My only thought was that I wouldn't put the towels right beside the toilet because when you flush spray can go quite far (EW!) and cross-contaminate the towels. I think shelves would have been a better choice there and keep the towels on the back of the door. JMHO.
I got lucky with small canvas art from dollar tree last year and they've held up fine in my bathroom

You need to try Command Velcro strips for hanging pictures instead of nails. They are a thousand times better!
I love the mirror and the change in pink really uplifted this room. The shower curtain is my favorite, I've been eyeing it for ages! The mini-picture frame is the only thing that rattles my coffee mug, but other than that great makeover! My favorite pieces in my bathroom are my bathmat and skincare caddy. It's just a simple long caddy that holds hair/face products, I just pull it out of the closet and plop it on the counter. If I'm lazy I'll just stand inside my closet and blindly put lotion on.

Just Me yes, I see so many "rental friendly " things that includes painting and drilling into a wall - here in Aus they even frown on blutack so paint/nails are not gonna happen.

Not true, most rentals allow painting walks as long as you paint them back when you leave.
As long as you paint it back, lots of places are fine with it (yes, I rent and gave rented in other places for many years).
