- Reimagine your relationship with your core! This Day 6 yoga practice is influenced by hatha yoga as well as pilates. In this class we continue to guide you in developing a connection with your breath and your deep abdominal muscles. Core work does not have to suck. In fact, I love core work so much, it actually feels good now that I know how to use my breath to effectively and efficiently control my muscles. Remember, little by little.
This session is only 17 minutes - you got this! Remember your mantra; I am connected with all things with love and kindness.

Not sure if that’s relevant for you and your own worries, but thought I’d share it. It resonates with me.

Was in a fog today and not in my best mood... but I showed up on the mat for day 6, cause I've committed to this journey. Then with the exercise on all fours with the leg going from one side to the other one, I got a cramp in my butt 🤣 and started to laugh and by the end of today's parctice, my mood had shifted for the better. So again, thank you Adriene and Benji for the guidance, the support and the company.

I am kinda dissapointed that the tradition stayed, because day 6 always makes me feel so much worse than when I start, which is the opposite for other days. I have low abs strentgh so I can never follow along and there are almost no modifications, whereas other times there is plenty. It feels like a mean laugh which breaks my trust.
I've been so worried today about the political news that seems to worsen by the hour here in Austria, and these videos really help. I've decided that, since it's only 7 days this year, I will repeat these practices another three times for the rest of January to at least have something good I "have to" do each day of this month. Thank you for this journey, Adriene
Hugs from Hungary, politics can stress me out as well 💕 i always remind myself, that i did everything i could, and i focus on my loved ones, the nature around me, etc. Maybe try to distance yourself from politics from time to time, to clear your head, it can be overwhelming. And maybe try an old 30 day program, i’m going to do ‘breath’ or the january calendar after this 7+1 days ☺️
Ich bin ganz bei dir und freue mich sehr, dass du hier bist. Du bist die erste Österreicherin, die mir je auf UA-cam untergekommen ist. Du hast vollkommen recht. Die politische Situation bei uns ist katastrophal. Ich finde deinen Ansatz sehr gut. Die 3 Wochen sind vorbei. Wie geht es dir jetzt? Das, was sich politisch tut, ist etwas, das außerhalb unserer Kontrolle liegt. Wenn wir etwas nicht ändern können (außer vielleicht mit heftigen Protesten oder Demos), dann können wir immer noch positive Energie in uns selbst mit Yoga und evtl Meditation generieren und diese Energie nach außen schicken. Wenn wir unser Licht leuchten lassen, wird es ein bisschen heller in der Welt. Szonjacooks Vorschlag ist super. Hab ich auch immer wieder gemacht. Ich hab zB Revolution einige Male gemacht. Wäre passend, nicht wahr. ;-) Woher in Österreich kommst du? Ich bin aus Wien. Namasté.
Just want to say, it's so rare to be told "take a moment for yourself." That alone is worth showing up for!
My eight year old nephew practiced alongside me. That was his very first yoga practice. He loved seeing Benji. At the end he askd to play Day 7 right away. 😊 He wanted to say: “Thank you Adriene and Benji!” 💕🙏🐕

This day was special. I went over to my friend's house and we did this practice together. In a way, I introduced her to Adriene this way. Afterwards, we still felt the flow so I took over and lead her through a few poses. We ended up sitting opposite to each other, holding hands, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere we've created together. It was lovely. 💛

Tomorrow will mark my 1 year journey into a daily yoga practice. I started with your 30 day FLOW on 1/7/2024 and love that this year's January practice is 7 days, perfectly rounding out my year. It's been nothing short of transformative and I wanted to thank you, Adriene, for all of the love and wisdom you are infusing into this world. You are such a shining light.

I have been doing yoga with you for a year and 6 days. Maybe I have missed a day here and there, but I am so proud for sticking to it. The past year it was more of an objective to do it every day, this year I am trying to rewire to do it as part of my day and not just to get it done. It' s definitely a journey when you do something every day by choice. You go through all the moods and thoughts and feelings. You question everything and then you have 20 minutes when time (most of the time) stops and you are just on the mat, flowing. And i wish I could share that more than in a comment. Thank you, Adrienne! And hope you can rewire back to your core after these past long years! As much as we think we have life figured out sometimes, we just get reminded "the only constant is change"

Last year I had a bit of struggles balancing my personal life, school and work, so I had to reduce the number of times I practiced yoga. I can't believe I could even go a month without practicing yoga, and when I look back those where the periods of my life where I battled with stress, anxiety, anger, overthinking, total body aches, constant headaches the most now I realized taking yoga out of my life would simply mean taking one of the most therapeutic things out of my life. Coming back to my yoga practice with alot of commitments and consistency is the best decision I have taken this year. I have practiced yoga consistently and I have stayed without practicing yoga for a month, and now I can confidently say that yoga is the best therapy I need for my mental health and without yoga I am very prone to a lot of mental issues.

Last night was a rough night… not much sleep and aching body. I went to the gym this morning and felt frustrated that I couldn’t work out the way I wanted to mentally. However, I did this practice when I got home from the gym and it helped me come back to center and get grounded and grateful again for what my body CAN do. Today will be a good day because I choose it to be so! ❤
I'm always amazed at how far I've come when it comes to not dreading core work. I'm pretty sure the core practices are the reason why i havenr experienced unbearable period cramps for four months now. I am connected to all things and my body does feel like an extension of my mind now. Thank you Adriene 💜

Thank you, Adriene! I really needed this practice this morning. I came to the mat, after a rough start to my morning. There was lots of stress, and anxiety. We have a new guide dog puppy, that we are training, and she is definitely a handful. Plus I've been struggling a little, with my mental health of late. Trauma from my past coming up, after I realised I hadn't delt with it, like I thought I had. So it's been full on, I came to my mat this morning, and you said about anxiety, stress, and honouring what came before, but putting it to one side. Honouring the to-do list, and putting them to one side, and I just burst into tears. I don't know, how you always know what I need, but thank you, I'm glad you do. I love our daily yoga together, and seeing you, and sweet little Benji, always makes me feel better. Thank you Adriene.❤ See you tomorrow. Namaste. 🙏🧡🐢

I’ve been dealing with some autoimmune/neuropathy issues that have made it hard for me to walk/stand up. But after a few days of Prana, my body is feeling better than it has in a very very long time! Today I even slipped outside, but instead of falling I was able to catch my balance! Thank you so much, this practice is changing my life!! 🙏🙏🙏

I absolutely love this year's 7 day yoga journey! The focus on breathing and grounding within short practice durations over the course of seven days is a perfect start to the year. I really feel like these shorter sessions over a shorter timeframe are something I can add to my daily schedule without feeling overwhelmed. I appreciate this so much.
What a lovely way to start my day! I'm a teacher and we had a nice long winter break. Back to school today and I feel more ready after this morning's practice. Here I go!

yay- i love core day! this helped we wake up my body and mind after a bit of a groggy morning. its amazing how much we can do in a short amount of time- and feel an intense burn in the abs too! love it! great mix of yoga and pilates

I usually struggle to keep my head and shoulder lifted during core work but there were moments in this practice that i can stay lifted without too much effort. It is quite fascinating! I'll definitely revisit this practice. Also, love when I can tune in for the premiere. What a lovely way to feel connected. 🥰

I absolutely love your core work. You inspire me to be safe and deliberate, not force myself into different poses, straining for power. I am still very much rebuilding my core and pelvic floor strength after the birth of my 3rd child and I am so grateful for this beautiful practice!

During 2024 I went to yoga studios for my practice. Twice a week and loved it! But.. yoga practice is my jam. I get to connect with myself in so many deeper ways then in a studio. One of this year goals is exactly that: to deepen my home practice ❤ day 6🎉
