  • Welcome to my search/recovery scuba boat - outfitted to fit in the smallest environments, yet handle some choppier waters. I’ve designed this boat to be the ultimate scuba diving recovery boat that could handle some abuse as well as be a safe boat for exiting and entering the water with scuba gear. (ever try to re-enter a jon boat) Below you will find all the links to the accessories I’ve used to design this boat, as well as the actual boat. Thanks for watching and joining on this journey.

    Boat Seat Measurements
    I took the measurement between the 2 fully inflated tubes and took a few inches off so the seats would not rub against the tubes.
    The front boat seat measures 13.5 inches wide, 30.5 inches in length, 13 inches high without seat cushion and 16 inches high with seat cushion.
    The back seat (seat with gas tank) measures 19 Inches wide, 30.5 inches in length with the same height as the front seat.

      Thanks man. Yea, I love this setup. I've had a bigger boat before with inboard motor and prefer THIS boat over that anyday!!! Super simple and easy to maintain. 😀

    That is very neat. How you have your pole connected is how I want my A frame done. I don’t have a trailer so I blow up my boat every time in use. Only takes a few minutes with a mini air leaf blower, so my A frame has to come in and out. I can’t remember the name of the clips you have screwed to the transom. No I bought blue nylon strips with Velcro on and plan to glue and screw those to the transom. Question how fast can your boat go and get a accurate reading from the transducer? Thanks for sharing Ray K UK 🇬🇧 YNWA.

      Thanks. Yea, first time I put the baot together, I decided then and there I was getting a trailer. Lol. Ive gotten like 20 mph, but alot depends on weight and current.

      @@cBelowH2O thanks man! That’s great. I like the one with the skull and dive goggles. That’s a great design. BTW I just ordered the 15.4 BRIS black dive and rescue and I’m so stoked to get it, so I’ve watched all of your videos on the modifications you’ve done. The seats are dope, as is the trailer. Gotta get that next…and an engine. It never ends!

    I keep coming back to this vid over and over for ideas. I just bought a 2015 Saturn 18" to use for diving and relic hunting in Idaho and Oregon. Ordered the scotty glue on and other gear from your links. Having trouble finding Stabond for glue but di finf HH66 that also works on PVC. A few questions:
    Glue-- what did you use
    Head lights-- do you have a link for what you used for the scotty mount to put the lights on?
    Paddle keepers-- I need to store paddles for emergencies
    Gas and Battery-- I have a trolling motor as a back up to my 1952 Evinrude-- as long as I'm vented-- ok to put gas and battery (in minnkota battery box) in same vented seat/storage?
    Best upgrade video for a diving rig I've seen yet!!!

      @cBelowH2O  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching. Glad ppl are finding it useful. I used the HH66 glue and for the lights, I used a modified post mount adapter to go into the scotty mount, works great. Believe there linked in that video, I tried to be pretty thorough when putting all the items I used.

    • @cBelowH2O
      @cBelowH2O  Рік тому

      I only have one paddle on board and keep it tucked away, so don't have any specific storage for paddles. I would definitely keep the battery separated from the gas tank, especially in a small confined area just to be safe. I have mine in a battery box and remove it often as I don't use a trolling motor much at all..

    Nice work! What’s the floor covering? Is it over aluminum or inflatable? I couldn’t tell for sure, but how is the keel inflated?

    • @cBelowH2O
      @cBelowH2O  4 місяці тому +1

      The floor is aluminum. I have it covered with a rubber flooring material. Keel gets aired up with an access under the rubber mat near the front.

    Ordered most of the stuff you recommend. I also found the transducer doesn’t work well on the back. How is it with the extension arm when underway and on plane?

    • @cBelowH2O
      @cBelowH2O  9 місяців тому +1

      Awesome. Yea, didn't work too good on back at all. Works great on the side and usually bring it up when going on plane as to not worry about damaging the mount, but have kept it down on plane and does alright. It's a quick release so only takes a sec to bring it up.

    Quick release arm, Do you know if it will hold 3 in 1 transducer? Also ive noticed that even though on side of the boat it picks up good reading, any time theres leafs or debris on river/lake, it gets caught up into the arm,, ive installed on my inflatable similar to yours but arm was flimzy and then debris another issue

    • @cBelowH2O
      @cBelowH2O  4 місяці тому

      Not sure if it will hold a 3in1. It can def be flimsy at high speeds, in which then I lift it up...only really use for sonar which only requires speeds of 2-4 mph.

      I installed some scotty mount lgue on pads on the boat with a scotty mount tranducer arm attached to the pads. Id highly recommend these glue on pads, there cheap, durable and easy to install. I have them all over the boat.

    Hi we’re you able to put a bilge pump in it? And if so how? I’m buying the same boat and trying to find a way to put a bilge pump under the deck plates. Thank you

    • @cBelowH2O
      @cBelowH2O  2 роки тому +1

      I do not have a bilge pump. I do keep a manual pump on board just in case I need it, however this boat could completely fill with water and still float (unlike a traditional boat) There is a one way valve on the back of this boat under the plug to drain water but not let water in, but dont know if Id trust it too much. Ive never been worried about any water that may come in from re-entering the boat or otherwise. Hope that helps.
