Pantone has been annually selecting and announcing the colour of the year since 2000. To make the selection, they check the current fashion, technology, nature and cultural trends.
This year, they have selected a bold shade of pink-red called as 'Viva Magenta' keeping in mind the current attitude of fearlessness.
It is a mix between blue and red, - it's futuristic, witty and attention grabbing so all the eyes will be on you when you wear this colour and walk into any event.
The intention to select 'Viva Magenta' was that we leave the past trauma of corona virus pandemic behind and look ahead towards the future and embrace technological innovations with open arms. Where people have lost hope due to the pandemic, this colour depicts optimism, bravery, joy and fun, bringing in hope in people's lives.
