A mom and 2 teenagers were just bumped off a flight to accommodate for a passanger of size that didn't buy an extra seat in advance.They were refused any accommodations themselves including hotel and refund.
What? The airline did not compensate the mom and her teenagers just because an overweight passenger did not previously buy another ticket. The "fatty" should have been the one denied, the seats. That was not right.

I can imagine how the plus size passenger must feel, but I think I would automatically just buy two tickets if I needed the extra room. I'm 124 pounds, and the seats are too narrow for my comfort. Airlines have continually reduced the size of seats in order to shove more in there. Not only that, but the seats are not conformed to the human body; it's like sitting against the inside of a barrel. There is no lower back support. I just sit tightly as if in a turtle shell, and wait for it to be over. Either way, it has become miserable to fly.
How does this make sense with width? For planes with 3x3 or 2x2 rows at least they can’t just fit more seats in without them so skinny literally no one can fit. Non widebody jets that are 3x3 now were designed for that and have been that way for decades. They gain no advantage making seats narrower in such situations and they don’t seem to have done it in widebody from what I can tell.

A child won’t impede my way trying to get to the bathroom. A child won’t make me feel claustrophobic when I’m sitting in a window seat and they’re in a seat next to me. A child’s seat is booked prior to walking to the gate and won’t require someone else getting “bumped” off that flight. Additionally, a child being under 2yrs of age isn’t a self-inflicted disability that they’re being accommodated for. Essentially, THAT is an accommodation to help parents fly since they can’t leave their child home alone and they may not always be able to find childcare. These morbidly obese people, however, are basically being rewarded for having no self control and not taking care of themselves. And as someone else mentioned here, if these obese people have the money to feed themselves into that condition then they have the money to pay for an extra seat. Also, could they honestly use the emergency slide if necessary? If not then they shouldn’t be allowed to fly. Or they should fly where they belong, in the cargo area. Why do I need to pay for an extra luggage or an overweight bag but they get a free additional seat? How does their weight affect the weight of the plane and how does the weight distribution of the plane with them on it, wherever they are sitting on the plane, affect the takeoff and landing? Honestly.
Maybe ticket prices should just be based on passenger's weight. That way, skinny people could fly cheaper.

Airplane’s should have a few interchangeable seats & if you’re a fatty, you pay extra for a bigger seat, airline staff could quickly install a clip-in fat seat.

Large obese people are actually a safety feature if the door opens you can stick them it to plug the hole! but getting off a plane with several obeses people in frount of me is a scary thought!
hahah funny but the laws of physics wouldn't allow the door to open. Too much air pressure keeps it shut. You wouldn't be able to open it even if you had a strongman pushing it.

A child won’t impede my way trying to get to the bathroom. A child won’t make me feel claustrophobic when I’m sitting in a window seat and they’re in a seat next to me. A child’s seat is booked prior to walking to the gate and won’t require someone else getting “bumped” off that flight. Additionally, a child being under 2yrs of age isn’t a self-inflicted disability that they’re being accommodated for. Essentially, THAT is an accommodation to help parents fly since they can’t leave their child home alone and they may not always be able to find childcare.
These morbidly obese people, however, are basically being rewarded for having no self control and not taking care of themselves. And as someone else mentioned here, if these obese people have the money to feed themselves into that condition then they have the money to pay for an extra seat. Also, could they honestly use the emergency slide if necessary? If not then they shouldn’t be allowed to fly. Or they should fly where they belong, in the cargo area. Why do I need to pay for an extra luggage or an overweight bag but they get a free additional seat? How does their weight affect the weight of the plane and how does the weight distribution of the plane with them on it, wherever they are sitting on the plane, affect the takeoff and landing? Honestly.
LOL WTF a child is tiny compared to an obese person that CHOOSES to over eat. How can you even compare the two? How simple minded.
. Infants or children under 2 years of age can travel on the lap of an adult for free , They do not get a free seat.

Use more seats pay more money. Stop letting people who clearly can’t tell themselves no, feel entitled to things they are not!
