FTC troubles arise from the alarm system not being able to properly send out signals for monitoring, or whatever your service setup may look like. This can happen on any style system using any style communication path, so here are some tips on how to troubleshoot the issue. The main piece of advice here is you need to have a good idea of how your system communicates with your services. From there, you can diagnose potential physical issues such as wiring, internet availability, etc. If your system is using a communicator, the main things i finding out if your communication path is available. Sometimes these things are out of everyone's control, but you will at least know why your system is failing to get signals out.
From there, once you have an idea of why your system cannot communicate, always test the system as needed to ensure signals are reaching where they need to go. If you have a self-monitoring aspect to your service, it makes this testing very quick and simple, but if you have Central Station always make sure you let them know you will be testing the system. If you do not warn them, they may try to respond to a signal and you could end up with potential fines of fees. Generally these troubles will clear themself up on their own, but if you experience this multiple times, or it will not clear for a good amount of time, be sure to test everything you can to get your system back up and running again.
