Sir, this question is just to confirm if I did understand your lecture about footing with uplift. For column at the edge of the footing (= with uplift) : L = 3.5 m , B = 2.5 m. Column dim is 0.60 x 0.45 m. Pu = 1800 kN, located 1.45 m from footing center line, column Mu = 444 kN-m. The resulting moment at the centroid of the footing is 2166 kN-m. Thus, e = 2166 /1800 = 1.203 m. c = L/2 - e = 3.5/2 - 1.203 m = 0.547 m. My question : is actual q = 2P / (3c X B) = 2 X 1800 / ( 3 x 0.547 x 2.5 ) = 877.51 ? Thanks in advance for the reply.
Hi sir. Thank you for making such good and easy understanding videos. Sir can you please make a video on " How to calculate loss of contact in footings?"
Greatly explained. Please explain why the analysis having allow uplift is a non linear??? Why we need to convert load combinations to non linear load cases in CSI SAFE
@Civil Engineer Tonmoy Maity Thank you sir. Are rafts the same as continuous strip wall footings? You are saying rafts. Any resources on this case? Thank you for your service for geotechnical engineers.

nicely explained we request you such most conceptional video like this Sir....
This video is more important than than a playlist
Greatly , conceptualy .No one has ever did like you on youtube.
🙏
Hi sir.
Thank you for making such good and easy understanding videos.
Sir can you please make a video on " How to calculate loss of contact in footings?"
V nice vedio sir please make continued vedio of it..
Sure
Thank you 🙏🙏Sir good explanation we
learn many things through your vedios
Glad you like it
amazing lecture. thank you so much for the basics.
Most welcome!
Please that moment where is coming from , and how can u get it.

sure
Thanks, kindly make video of raft foundation with 4 pedestal loading
Many thanks!!
🙏
Thank you this was exactly what I was looking for
🙏
Sir please confirm ,, we will increase L from both side of column footing,, to reduce eccentricity. Means column will center of L length( by e
Thank you so much, very helpful
Glad you like it 🙏
Can u please make video for designing of footing with column location at edge and for corner
i will try
What about pressure distribution for L=infinity continuous footings?
Mechanisms for raft is little bit different
@Civil Engineer Tonmoy Maity

Thank you for your service for geotechnical engineers.
thank you.
You're welcome
Sir please make detailed video on diaphragm action and also on dynamic analysis of structure..
Definitely
Also sir please make a proper full and final design of a mini pipe rack using staad pro..
do all country standard or codes follow the e
Yes
Lol it's the concept 🤣...it's universal buddy 🤣
Sir,
Can you share the design of footings for a column where a diagonal wallbracing also attaches
I will try
Can you please make video about machine foundation!
I will try
Sir any explanation for moment carry over and beam rotation stiffness for real case for more understanding the concept.. Tq sir..
Ok I will try to make video on it
